It gives us the insight and we can be able to experience and discovered a lot of things from the past. Before understanding the history of other countries, It is best to understand first our own country. This video gave us so much information that blown our minds away. Philippines went through a lot of challenges before we gained our independence. There were so many colonization that had happened in the past that gave impact on what we are, from our religion to the culture we have now. Philippines is truly rich in resources that's why many nation tried to own our country but our ancestors empower the importance of our independency and as I watch this video, it makes me more proud the way our leaders fought. This video also showcase the importance of trading economy, because of trading we we're able to share not only our products but also the importance of trust and respect that instill in each minds. I didnt expect that this video may change a lot in my perspective about studying history, ever since i was in elementary i find this topic boring, because the information was quit really familiar in me, about how the other country civilized control the phillipines, but untill this happens i find this short video clip interesting their are more new ideas about the history if the philippines, and especially the name if our country that was once very interesting it was from the name a person that once become the leader in this country. This video clip gives me idea on how long or how hard us the process that our country overcome just to commit the peaceful life we have in this year, this is such an amazing journey because of the informations i get in this video. This history video lead us to remind the doings of all our ancestors, how, they fight for our rights. It just quit a long process since our country is being passed by different mediator. Because of this video i conclude that Studying Philippine History is important because you have to understand and know the things that happened in the past for us to appreciate the future and present situation of the country. Philippine history is one of the interesting histories happened in Asia. Studying our own history allows us to gain valuable perspectives on the problems of our modern society. Many problems, features, and characteristics of modern Philippine society can be traced back to historical questions on our colonial past, as well as our pre-colonial culture. And this gives a lot of sense because from now and then i find this subject much interesting because of those new informations, i want to seek more valuable ideas that can be helpful for me, i am craving for more new knowledges about our very own philippine history. Before, I thought history is a boring subject but after wathinh this video I have many learnings that I just currently learned while watching it. I know in myself that I am not that kind of a person who loves to listen some history kind of a story but this video made me realize that history is amazing and exciting because of what our ancestors do before that I idolize now. There are so many fights, struggles and problems that happened in the history that make me realize now to finish my goal to help our country and to work for people. Like what Makdom Karim and Arab tretor brought Islam to the philippines, I want to brought freedom and happeness to everyone. As far as I know, their are many Filipino's fight before and even until now just to get our freedom and yes we did and our ancestors did but what happened now is that our same blood which is the Filipino's make the Filipino's struggle. Tayo tayo ang nagsasakitan, kitakita ra gihapoy ga pangdaot sa atong kaugalingon and why is that that we cant live free some of cant because some of us did. Thats why now, after watching the video, I am imagining if I am there,do I can did what they did that time of our ancestors? Hahahahahah I cannot write all the important details happenes before base on the video that I watch but after watching, it keeps me in mind how I am greatful to have ancestors like them. This video is very helpful not only for me but to all the residents in the Philippines. Because it contents very interesting topic behind the Philippine History. It gives more insight to look at the past in order to deal with the present. The Philippines cultural, political and national history is unique in its own right. Philippines is one of most diverse population, there are countries influenced or colonize the Philippines and some of that influences we're using up to now. The Indian culture also had influences in the Philippines. It is very clear in this video that Philippines is one of the most westernised nation in the Southeast Asia in every aspects such as culture, religion, language architecture, and traditions. As we all know Philippine History brings an impact in our world not just in humane society. It will impact also the lives of so many people living in the world. There is changes happen and adjustment was prevail. However, it is believed that during the last ice age they were joined to mainland Asia by a land bridge, enabling human beings to walk from there. So my greatest reaction was that, as generation goes by it will bring back the history and its main goal that Philippines has lot of resources which not us can benefits but the other country because of lack of equipment's. On the other aspect, most of the people converted into Christianity which gives us a way to be united in so many ways. Aside from that , it became influential in the shaping of the contours and directions of Philippine social history . Eventually, modern Philippine history shape us in todays existence like we should never forgot what the history brought by today. We should treasured instead of ignoring it. Watching the film had opened a wider range of enlightenment and understanding about the history of our country. How our culture, tradition and beliefs showcased a great reflection of influence that had brought us to what we are today. The video tackled earlier explorations and settlements had explained our native roots. Our proud heritage and trades with the neighboring cultures and merchants caused our well-diverted influence. Furthermore, an interesting glimpse about the Jade Culture caught my curiosity, since my pervious history subject haven't tackled that point. Despite that, I've learned that with its existence, early inhabitants developed four distinct kinds of people which sections are fairly seen even in the present days. Through the years, established kingdom and empires that had enforced noble chiefs and fierce warriors, foreign powers and other influences shaped and strengthened our country. The video also showed the varied forms of religious influence brought in the country namely Buddhism, Islam, Hinduism and Christianity explaining the wide impact of the diversified beliefs and faith although the archipelago. I found the documentary so informative and i learned a lot from it. A highly recommended video especially for the students like me who wants to learn and explore the rich history of our country. This clearly states that our country is rich enough on resources even before the colonisation happened. The proof of this is the existence of jade culture in the pre-colonial period. It also clearly stated that our country is pre-occupied by a diverse people who came from a different nations. It also gave us an idea on how our ancestors doing business specially trading with different products. It is also serves as a reference on how different religions adapt in the philippines. I only knew that Catholicism, which is brought by the spaniards, and the muslim religion came into our country but i dont have an idea that hinduism and buddhism was also introduce in our country. Maybe because it happened many years ago. It also serve as an evidence on how the early filipinos affected the influence of different cultures. But they also showed how filipino people fight by means of revolutionary action against the abusive spanish authorities. It helps me to realise that when there is no unity in the nation, others will take advantage of it and they can use this to establish their own agenda. And i’m also grateful to our allied countries who helped us to regain our independence on the hands of colonisers. Irish M. Baylon BEED-1 Section-4

This allows us to gain valuable perspectives on the problems of our modern society. Many features and characteristics of modern Philippine society can be traced back to historical questions on our colonial past, as well as our pre-colonial culture. I have gained and learned more information about first humans on how they discovered the rich Philippines by satelling in archipelago, on how it started to develop and expand unto bigger settlements. In history, Philippines are influences by both Buddhism and Hinduism, including the larger asia empire, but it won't exist in our country. The Islamic region and Catholicism which is brought by the Spaniards only that are exist until now's generation. I highly appreciated that after the conquest of Luzon, the Christianity is progress existed by the work of colonization. A cathedral was built with a peacekaple palace, and more and more people started converting on Christianity, until the Philippines marked as independent country. However, the Philippine economy remained highly dependent on United States, and as of me, it is because United States is one of the largest foreign investors of the Philippines. Since the end of the Second World War, the Philippine economy had mixed history of growth and development. Over the years the Philippines has gone from being one of the richest countries in asia following Japan to being one of the poorest country. Growth immediately after the War rapid but slowed over time. Also, I noticed and realized that respect of the diversity of each beliefs and practices are important. Why? Because, Islamic religion was established first, before christianity was made. So we should always be more respectful and considerate. All I can say is that "yeah" Philippines already have come so far, from the first humans to land on it, our ancestors the ones who made decisions and progress to develop and expand unto bigger colonies, through different kinds of battles to obtain freedom. But, what really caught me off a bit in this video is about buddhism and hinduism, I never knew It was introduced here in the Philippines and also the first religion to be introduced was never catholicism but Islam religion. I was astonished to know about all this important wisdom and also about how rich Philippines was before, through the existence of jade culture already, even and before colonization, and In this video it shows how Important freedom was, knowing how our ancestors struggled and fought during Spaniard colonization lead by none other than Ferdinand Magellan who brought catholicism in the Philippines and died in the hands of Lapu-Lapu a datu of Mactan who is regarded as the first Filipino hero. After watching this video I've realized that Philippines have done so far, the freedom are so important. Philippines became a territory of the United States then established the insular government to rule the Philippines in 1907. During the South Indian pallava dynasty and the north Indian Gupta empire, Indian culture spread to Southeast Asia and it reached the Philippines so it means the Indian Culture and traditions have a big impact on Philippines. Other items as well in astronomy for the various Sanskrit terms and titles seen in the documents. On 60 thousand years ago Philippines started with the arrival of it's first humans, it is believed they used rafts or boats. The region was divided into numerous semi-autronomy city-states under the rule of the plutocracy. Therefore, before Philippines gaining program in 1942 during world war ii, the Philippines was occupied by Japanese forces by 1945. The US liberated the Philippines and the treaty of Manila in 1946. Thus, this video is a big help for us to understand and to know what happening to our past and how people did their very best to let us know what's happening and how they achieved freedom. Honestly, history is not my favorite subject but this made me realize that we should loved and appreciate our history, to let us know what's the sacrifices of the President and the people just to get freedom. As a filipino we are responsible to dig deeper or to research more about the past history of our country the "PHILIPPINES".In this video i learned a lot, good and bad scenarios that happened in the phillipines. In 4000 BC this year happened the discovery of jade culture and more and more diverse people or explorers begun to come to our country. And later on they have developed into four distinct kinds of people the tribal groups, warrior society the petty photocracy and the harbour civilization in the times of neolithic era.In 300 to 700 A.D begins the trading trading systems to india. And i newly knew that the first culture we adopted is the Hinduism and budism.A evidence of influence of newly found adaptation of culture is the Laguna copperplate encryption and the used of mathematics of pre-colonial phillipine society. And in 900 A.D the start of Islam brought by Makdum Kareem in 1380.Later on the happening of christianizing brought by Ferdinand Maggeland. But this time we supper a lot by the hands of the Spaniards. But their forces was out duels by our folk hero Lapo-lapo.And this time i think as a filipino we established our independence to the spanish colonies. But thats not stop there many many colonialists invade our country. But to the help of United States of America we overcome the invasion.Up to this day we are struggling to survive and the colonials never stop their doings but to overcome all consequences in our society,we need to move as one make everyone better.
My reflection about this video summary of the modern Philippine history started with the arrival of the first humans using rafts or boats at least 709,000 years ago as suggested by the discovery of Pleistocene stone tools and butchered animals remains associated with hominin activity ,a species of archaic humans was present on the island of Luzon at least 67,000 years ago. This video clearly shows the importance of history in our country and make us overview the happenings. My reaction about Philippine history is that it helps us to understand the past events of the Philippines.A few words were supplemented in this translation as usual in any translation I consider that reconstruction of the history of the America period in the Philippines, also contributes to another trend in Philippines history.Polities were either influenced by the Hindu-Buddhist Indian religion language, culture, literature and philosophy. This video give complete information about how we formed by the democracy but before we fulfill freedom the filipino in the past are encountered hardship especially for the World War II in which Philippines being invade by other countries and made war. But we won againsts Spaniards and Japanese because Filipino before, are protecting our country even their lives are critical and they sacrifices their lives for our freedom now. I realized, we are so blessed and lucky that their are heroes who are willing to sacrifices their lives for the sake of freedom. It is not easy to be a hero because they are fighting to commit our freedom. Let us immulate their ideals and strive to be heroes in our own right. We need not to die to be hero, we only need to be responsible citizen and be the best that we can be. The past cannot be changed, forgotten, edited, or erased. It can only be accepted. I can say that history is fun in it's own right. It depends in the person if his or her heart is on it. I personally don't have that much interest in history but with the events that happened like the Heneral Luna movie got me into history. I suggest that you just enjoy your time while studying and have fun with it even if you don't. I conclude that Philippines history is difficult, it is so difficult. But nothing is difficult if you work hard enough. Like it or not, you have to deal with it. Its about our country anyway. It is fun knowing things that you don't and it is so satisfying. Like the saying goes "those who fail to learn from history are doomed to repeat it." So you better learned from it and not run from it. Our country's past maybe bad but we have we have to accept it. After watching the video I just realized that Philippines is such a unique country in many different aspects. First thing is that in every obstacle and challenges that they encounter before 60,000 years ago but still they manage to cope up with it. The world wars, different kinds of killing, occupying territories from different countries as well as influencing the things that Filipinos didn't want to used with it. All the things that happened before brings soo much pain in all Filipinos. But also there are some who is meaningful and useful to the people. Just like trading, importing and exporting goods and products. In fact the Portuguese Ferdinand Magellan gives a big contribution to the world in which he is the first who circumnavigate the world but in the year 1521 dated April 27 he is killed by Lapu-Lapu. But then as the years passed by there are also different people who rule the Philippines. Denesa Gargar BEED 1 Section 4
Studying history allows us to gain valuable perspective and the problem of our modern society. The Philippines was an archipelago of 7,000 Island. However it is believed that during the last ice age they were joined to maintain as a Asia by a land bridge, enabling human beings to walk from there. On 1521 Ferdinand Magellan was sailed across the pacific. He landed in the Philippines and claimed them for Spain. But there's one chief named Lapu-lapu who Magellan lead a force to crush him. However the Spanish soldiers were scattered and Magellan was killed. On 1565 Miguel lopez de legaspi lead an expedition which built a port in cebu. Later in 1571 the Spaniards landed in Luzon. There they built the city of intramorous later called Manila which become the capital of the Philippines. The Spanish colony in the Philippines brought prosperity for the upper class anyway. Each year the Chinese exporting goods such as silk, porcelain and lacquer to the Philippines, from there they were re-exported to Mexico. The years have passed uneventful in the Philippines until 1762. The British captured Manila they held it for two years but they handed it back in 1764 many problems, features, and characteristics of modern Phillipines society can be traced back to historical questions on our colonial past as well as our pre-colonial culture. Our history became part of what we are today. So it is important for us to always remember to give importance of our history. Reygine P. Sumayo BEED-1 Section-4

Since prehistory people have made bowl harps using tortoise shells and calabashes as resonators, with a bent stick for a neck and one or more gut or silk strings. The world's museums contain many such "harps" from the ancient Sumerian, Babylonian, and Egyptian civilisations. Watching the educational documentary video, "Modern Philippine History," I observed many, new historical facts regarding the history of our beloved country, the Philippines. The summary video discussed to me the truth that I didn't know, chronologically and very clearly. It refreshes the stock- knowlege in my mind and connects it to new relevant facts. Now, Its more clear to me what had really happened to the Philippines in the past, before and after different settlers and colonizers. The beginning of our history was full of discovery, and it was first settled by diverse people and sailors using only rafts or boats around 600, 000 years passed. That time the beautiful land of the Philippines welcomed the voyagers with its virgin blessings and wealth. I can imagine how lucky and happy the first inhabitants were in our land, because the Philippines is like a pearl of East, a free paradise in the past for foreigners. Like a very beautiful lady who had so many suitors, our wealthy land, the Philippines, was so attractive to conquerors; therefore many different colonizers and great rulers from the four corners of the world came eagerly and faught other competitors to own the Philippines. They risked because they knew that the Philippines was worth as prize. Symbolically and spiritually, the land of the Philippines was baptized to religion and rebaptized by many different missionaries, like Islam, Hinduism, and Christianity. Many years passed, missionaries after missionaries, the majority of the Filipino people became christians. Unfortunately, the not so old years of our history finally experienced the noble fight for freedom against neighboring, big, and powerful countries, who colonized us. Philippines was like a martyr, who endured so many sufferings, but the called sufferings was worthy for the Philippines to grow and knew its worth. Additionally, after watching the documentary, I believe that our country's history has a very rich, full of unforgettable, and full of bravery that I and you should be proud of. Alberto N. In 1521 Ferdinand Magellan sailed across the Pacific.he landed in the Philippines and claimed them for Spain.magellan baptized a chief called humanon and hoped to make him a puppet ruler on behalf of the Spanish crown.Magellan demanded that other chiefs submit to humanon but one chief named lapu lapu refused.magellan led a force to crush him.however the Spanish soldier were scattered and magellan was killed. The Spaniard did not gain a foothold in the Philippines until 1565 when Miguel Lopez de legazpi led expedition, which built a fort in cebu.later,in 1571 the Spaniards landed in luzon.here they built the city of intramuros (later called manila),which became the capital of the Philippines. Learning history can help us to inform if how the past happened. History started the arrival at first human, it is believed they used rafts or boats in 60,000 years ago with crops of diverse people settling in the archipelago. I noticed the problems, Features, and characteristics of modern Philippine society can be traced back to historical questions on our colonial past, as well as our pre-colonial culture. Some of groups are started to developed expand into bigger settlements and in the next thousands of years they evolved into what some scholars believe to be considered early states Austronesian and after wards speakers of the Malay Polynesian languages began to arrive in successive waves about 4000 bc. I also discovered that archipelago had developed expand into bigger settlements and in the next thousands of years they evolved into what some scholars believe to be considered early states Austronesia. They had developed four distinct kinds of people such as tribal groups, warrior society AN harbor civilization. I also known that metallurgy reached archipelago due to trade with India around 300 to 700 a.d.the seafaring people of the islands began to trade with indianized kingdoms and the Malay archipelago and the nearby east Asian principalities adopting Influences from both Buddhism and Hinduism. In the present day, Vietnam showed evidence of an extensive trade network artifacts and goods such as glass, agate and gold. I learn also that Indian culture influenced the southeast Asian region starting with the first century during the period of the South Indian PA lava dynasty and the north Indian Gupta empire, Indian culture spread to southeast Asia and it reached the Philippines which lead to the establishment of the new kingdoms largely influenced by the Indian culture and traditions.

This video clearly described how our ancestors fought for our freedom and liberty. We Filipinos find a way to be independent from the colonizers. We gain our independence because of our courageous ancestors, but we can't change the fact that our lives today was influenced by the past. The cultures, traditions and even religion that we possess nowadays was inherited from different colonizers. We Filipinos must preserve our own culture by patronizing our native traditions even if we are in our modern days. So that our nature as a Filipino won't vanished until the future generation to the next. Tribal group like Aetas, Ilongots, Hanunoo and Mangyan already exist in the early 1000 BC. There were native citizens before the Spaniards Came. Although it was not established as a country yet, civilization are already inhabiting the islands. Archipelago Has always been multiethnic hub For maritime Trade and Migration across Southeast Asia With Vedic /Hindu, Buddhist, Islamic And Confucian Influences layered in, as a result Lots of Filipino fables And Poetry are adapted from Hindu mythology. Generally this vedio shows an evidences that our country has been already discovered. It shows the evolution of the country time to time, it clear that even in a hundred of years ago, Philippines has been colonized by the ancient colonizers. There were many religion that has been brought in the Philippines by the colonizers. Different countries who tried to colonize our archipelago, every colonizers brought their religion in our country, just like Islam, Buddhism and Christianity that progress until in the present time. Even before there were war and fight between people who inhabit our country. Spaniards, Americans and Japanese, our country pass through them before committing the country independence. They govern our country, but because of our heroes who revolt againts into them, our country commit the freedom that we have until today. Many Presidents who tried their best to make our country progress. History is very eventful, the vedio gives me knowledge about the past, sooner what we have done today will become a part of history. History allows us to gain valuable perspective on the problems of our modern society. Many problems, features , and characteristics of modern philippine society can be traced back to historical questions on our colonial past, as well as our pre colonial culture. Some filipino scholars have begun to re-write philippine history from new perspectives, reflecting the globalized sorroundings of philippine society in the post cold war period colonial modernity in the phillipines have multiple aspects such as politics society and cultural, in relation to the problems of imperialism and nationalism. The philippines gained its independence from spain in 1898, but the united states soon intervened in the spanish american war and bought the terretory of the philippine achipelago from spain under the treaty of paris. As a result the philippine american war broke out in 1899. This video thought me a lot of things and it is very helpful for us as citizens in the Philippines because it gives us more insights on what happened in the past. I've realized that during the past times, Philippines was colonized by different colonizers who went there. Philippines are influenced with many things and by a different persons and colonizers such as religions and cultures. During the first century Philippines is one of those country in Asia that was influenced by the Indian culture. And there are documents that is found in Tondo Manila which is the Laguna copperplate inscription. And it is used in mathematics in pre-colonial Philippine societies. And after a thousand years, Philippines was influenced by the larger Asian empire in which the Majapahit empire and the Japan empire. An Arab trader Macdum Karem brought the Islamic religion in the Philippines in 1380. And on 1521,Ferdinand Magellan arrived and converted the Islamic religion to Roman Catholic. But Magellan was killed during the battleof Mactan against Lapu-Lapu.on 1898, Philippines is occupied by the United States. And on 1946,Philippines gained freedom. Philippines was named to honor Philip of Austria who became Philip ll of Spain in which the name was then extended to the entire archipelago. This video makes me realized that Philippines experiences a lot of things, they experienced to bt roled by different colonizers until they got their freedom. But to get that freedom is not easy, and it was gained by the sacrifices of our ancestors and heroes. But i think those experiences leads us to stand and fight for our freedom against the colonizers. This video also gives us a deeper understanding on hiw thingsand our country evolved. And also it made me realized that having a unity on one nation is very important, most of all we must respect each others beliefs and religions and be united to have peace and to help our country evenjust in a single step. Andit helps us to remember those people who are there to help to get on what we have in the present times. Merryjen D. Tagacanao BEED 1 SECTION 4

After watching this video i realized that, the Philippines is named after king Philip II of spain. (1556-1598) and it was a spanish colony for over 300 years. Today the Philippines is an archipelago of 7,000 islands. However it is believed that during the last ice age they were joined to mainland. Asia by a land bridge, enabling human beings to walk from there. In 1380, muslim Arabs arrived at the sulu archipelago and established settlements which became mini-states ruled by a datu. They introduced Islam in the southern parts of the archipelago including some parts of luzon and were under the control of the muslim sultans of Borneo. They had a significant influence over the region for a couple of hundreds. Speaking of history, I started thinking this subject, why we should study this? Past is past, its not going to help me when i find work or something. I guess, I just have to study and pass it, that is my initial thought in as a freshman college student. Maybe it base on my personal experience that history was boring. During my high school, it was so boring that I can fall asleep. I can recall that mostly of our activities and assignment are more on outlining a topic for us to memorize later on. Memorizing on every country, memorizing time, periods and etc. But one of the significant lesson that i had learned that past is never dead and gone, because it is the past that has created the present, and it is the past that conditions the possibilities of the future. I also learned that with history,is that you can use it as a guide. We people can also make history as an individual, we have the power to create history the power is great because everyone can do it. And it is just depends on the person whether they want or not. With all being said the change begin in us, the people, if we work together as a functional nationbwe would make history and make it better than ever. To my instructor sir Violon, I thought he is strick, but i was wrong. I actually think that his strick nature helped me study more, he requires us to read more. Even if there's still fraudulent behaviour for some leaders. This video makes me realize that we should give importance to our freedom. The conquest happened especially during Spaniard colonization, help us to know about Christianity which is very recognized in our country. Also the "Gold, God and Glory". Before Christianity being introduced, the existence of Islamic religion is already established. This means that we should respect the diversity of each beliefs and practices. From this video, we will know that trading or the buying and selling good and services from other country already exist before. The sad part of our economy today is we're more enjoyed of imported product rather than supporting local especially the farmers. We shouldn't be foreign to our own country. Many characteristics of the issue and characteristics of modern Philippine society can be traced back to the historical question of our past colony, as well as our precolonial culture. It illustrates from this vedio how difficult it is for the lives of Filipinos before to gain independence from the colonization of the Spaniards. Grasparil, kersee P. Beed 1, sec. 5 It's the past that molds the present, Philippines were once before an uncrowded place, and 60,000 years ago migrants have inhibit the Philippines and multiply. The early inhibitors were classified as; warrior society, harbor civilization, tribal groups and dapazi topocracy as I heard it from this video only if I have not mistakin it. The harbor civilization were the first to began trading with the Malaysian, then trading spreads that reached India and Malayan archephilago, it's the various inhibitors that bring the various culture and trading knowledge here in Philippines. Early migrants bring here the Buddhism and Hinduism culture, then they introduce here the standardization of weight and measurement. Due to inhibitor's different beliefs and knowledge, there were no unifying political system, then the states are divided that resulted to warfare. Through the desire of the human to acquire more and more material possessions and madness for worldly power more conflicts had existed, then more and more intruders have came to conquer to gain power and control over other. As I imagine how the conflict have existed, I think it their contradicting beliefs and the desire to acquire material possessions. Acquiring and dreaming to have it was not bad, only if we acquire it peacefully and legally.

It gives us the insight and we can be able to experience and discovered a lot of things from the past. History shows us a detailed picture of how society, technology, and government worked way back when, so that we can better understand how it works now.
Philippine history reminds me the nurture to our personal identity in an intercultural world. In fact, history provide us information on how people in the past begin and arrive in way of their living. History is one of the most respected and most valuable academic subject. This guide takes a deep dive into the importance of learning history at school, plus a few tips for studying it effectively. Through history, I can learn how past societies, systems, ideologies, governments, cultures, and technologies were built, how they operated, and how they have changed. The rich history of the world help us to paint a detailed picture of where we stand today.
History is full of stories. Some are inspiring and uplifting, others are chaotic and immoral. Tap into the vivid realm of history, and there are many vital lessons and learning. They will study times of suffering and times of joy, and the lessons they learn here can then be applied to their own life experience.
I realized that history also encourages a deeper understanding of difference. There are lessons, both good and bad, to be learned from the way our ancestors have interacted with other people who have different ways of living. In a modern world where inclusivity is embrace no matter your background, and understanding of how past societies have integrated is key to humanity improving the future.

Philippines is one of most diverse population, there are countries influenced or colonize the Philippines and some of that influences we're using up to now. The Indian culture also had influences in the Philippines.

From this vedio it shows how difficult the lives of Filipinos before, for them to achieve freedom from the colonization of the Spaniards.

The Philippines is named after king Philip || of Spain 1556-1598 and it was a Spanish colony for over 300 years.

But in the present they suffer from discrimination. They must received respect because they are the first in the country before it developed. They represent our native land the Philippines, the pride of the Filipino people.

As a Filipino citizen, it is important to know the history of our country. From where it came from and the name it is using.
As what i have seen in the video it show's the important details in our country that surely we can learned a lot with it. First the Philippines was influence by an Indian culture and traditions and also the religions of Hinduism and Buddhism. In the years leading up maritime society started existing in the island and battles are also existed. And the first person who brings islam in the archipelago is Makdum Karim an Arab trader. Second, In 1521 Spanish rich in the archipelago lead by Ferdinand Magellan claiming the island he saw for the Spanish Empire and was killed by Lapu-Lapu. Third, in 1543 an expedition was lead to the island naming the Phillipines and honor to Phillip II of spain in January 16, 1556. The name was then extended to the entire archipelago later on Spanish era. Fourth, European colonization begin with Miguel Lopez arrived from Mexico and forms European settlement in Cebu. In 1578, the Castilian war errupted between the Christian Spaniards and Muslim Bruneian. Fifth, In 1898 the Philippines became a territory of the United States and during world war II, Philippines was occupied by Japanese forces. And in 1946 it was established as an independent Philippine Republic. Lastly, Manuel Roxas coming the first President of the independent republic of the Philippines and Ferdinand Marcus 1965-1986 included the final year of the third republic and the Phillipines is under with martial which run with dictatorship.
In conclusion, it is very clear that the Philippes is a big archipelago. Many times that it has been colonized by the different types of people. Thats why patriotism is important. We must love our country , give value and be proud to it.

As I browse through the internet I Was surprised about our Philippine history, its not new to us that the Philippines history started when Magellan discovered the Philippines in 1521.Honestly Some videos and some facts from different people in the internet taught more history About the Philippines Than the history classes I took from the past grade.
Many different cultures Were introduced To the Philippines By different people thousands of years ago. Philippines history is an interesting subject to dig up on but I’m lacking time to browse more.

That's why, I realized that we need to be united and respect each other religions and beliefs to maintain peace of our country.

Philippine freedom is indeed not easy to obtain. Today we are pleased since we have a system of government that can control majority of the people.

It's the past that molds the present, Philippines were once before an uncrowded place, and 60,000 years ago migrants have inhibit the Philippines and multiply.
