I'm going to be honest, I've only heard most of these names the last few weeks. This really seems to come down to who Ben Johnson wants to take notes and cover menial tasks, since he's going to be the play caller. A glorified offensive quality control guy.
Allen & Shaw would be incredible additions. Allen for his DC expertise, Shaw for what he would add to the locker room - esp. w/Caleb. That troika would be like having a 3-headed HC! This is what it looks like to have a professional HC w/full support from ownership. Thank you Virginia! Thanks, George.
Also a Rooney rule on OC and DC now and people was talking 💩 about the 🐻 not doing it right w/Ben Johnson 😅🤷 To end last year Fyi Bears had Black President, GM, Ast GM, HC, OC, DC, ST coach for the 1st time in Nfl history. They didn't say a word. Not that anyone should care about anything but merits and morals
Yes, and look at who the Bears fired during the year. Rules are often needed to keep the worst folks in line, but the rules have to apply to everyone. The Rooney rule is a small price to pay for a little fairness.
@larrymurphy2092 see when you actually ask black folks tho. They don't want this shit tho. Dude like my brother runs the Steel Mill. He shut it down a few years back and had people crying laughing. "I want everyone to know I ran this shit before dei" 😂🤣🤣
Give me Dennis Allen all day this coaching staff work be together for a long time. Because allen won't be considered for a HC job for quite awhile due to 2 failures as HC but runs a great defense
@@joethomas5922 Nope, it's not official yet, I think there's still a possibility that he could go as a head coach to New Orleans. Brad Biggs + others say chances are good that he goes to Chicago.
I think Hightower has proven he should stay, you saw he changes what needs to be changed, examples this season; benching velus after the muff and kicking the ball to the other team, after the packers block you can think "okay maybe a fluke block, happens sometimes" then it happens again where they overload that spot the next time they were kicking a field goal against the vikings and he then changed it so darnell wright was over there instead and we had no problems. Also that Blackwell trick play return was pretty nice ;)
Ron Rivera interviewed for HC, surprised he doesn't interview for DC. He was very good here before obviously as DC. He's an 85 🐻. He runs the aggressive 4-3 we are looking for and Develops Players at an Elite level on the DL and at LB. 🤷 Dennis Allen is the guy but.... My worry with Ron would be him undercutting Ben Johnson to try and get the HC job here which he has always wanted. He tried to do so with Lovie.
@@jimsnyder6310 He was also a good DC.with alot of experience, but as HC on a bad team he wasn't very good. I will remember Ron Rivera the player and DC, and Ditka the HC, that way. But for now I'm happy with Dennis Allen.
Delighted with Ben Johnson's appointment. It'll be great if we get Dennis Allen. I'm totally underwhelmed by all the other names mentioned. Nothing I see or hear so far suggests that the O Line will improve significantly. It's a shame that we couldn't get Fraley, but it appears that Mrs Fraley wears the trousers in that home 😉.
I've yet to see a breakdown or review of Hightower's success over the last few years and how it compares to other special team coordinators in the league. If he has been in the top 10 the last three years, I'd be more content with keeping him.
Did he coach last season? Then he's gone. Put that stench behind us, please. Never let any of last year's coaches near this tam. They all failed miserably.
Declan Doyle, his first name would be pronounced (Deck-len) can't believe you said "De-Clan".at the 10:13 mark....It is a common Irish name derived from Deaglan which roughly means "full of goodness".......now you know........
Declan is pronounced like “DECK-lun” emphasis on the first syllable. My picks would be to hire Ron Rivera as Defensive Coordinator. I would’ve also made him Assistant Head Coach. Chico has been on staff for two of Chicago’s Super Bowl appearances as both player and coach. Next, I’d offer the Offensive Line coach job to Olin Kreutz. He was a legend and is a proven leader.
Bears tried to offer Olin a position as a consultant of some sort, I believe to help the O line (what else would he be hired for) and they tried to pay him $15/hour. 😂
How did you measure accountability? Is it the number of times the coach apologizes to the media? It is a silly undefined term that the media uses to push its own importance to the game. Unfortunately for them, they have absolutely no importance to the actual game of football. All pointless exercises of blah blah blah...
Um, I am pretty sure this is real life and not a video game. You do not unlock people at this level. This is not a thing that happens in professional sports. Some get better with experience and some get a better with the environment around them, but it is doubtful that an NFL player has some kind of key to unlock their talent. They have already succeeded just getting to here.

Shaw actually sounds good and he has a huge pedigree. With Antwaan Randle El and JT Barrett to work with Caleb and Company this will be a great mix.
David Shaw 100%
Dennis Allen I’d be sooo happy

It's been said that Ron Rivera is having some heath problems and that's why he is not being interviewed.
Forget Rivera. I don't give a damn about '85 even though I remember it well.
Why hire old guys? Aren't they looking for someone who understands the modern game? Rivera was a great player. End of story....

Do you have to bring in two minority candidates even if you want to hire a minority as the candidate like let say Shaw for OC?
Good question. Hopefully someone can answer.
Nothing is wrong with Richard Hightower.
According to Courtney Cronin the Lions O-Line coach is still in the mix for OC.
Hank Farley staying with the lions
So he might come to the bear's FGB 🐻 DOWN
