yes she likes him, that’s probably that makes her hard to forget all at once. at least, she can control herself whenever jaeeon tried to touch her unnecessarily. and when they started working together and had their little talk, they somehow managed to interact in a healthier way, even nabi said it herself she’s feeling at peace. she got her own motivation back to finish the art piece because of jaeeon’s passion in art and finally got a praise from the prof. i think that’s enough development for the meantime.

When Jae Eun said 'you're the one who gets to decide on this', I thought there was something there. Like he laid down the situation but it was Nabi who decided to start their FWB thing and she was the one who laid out the rules not to let other people know. And now she's the one who ends it. Looking from Jae Eun pov, he didn't have the control over their relationship. It's all hers. But he was so bitter in saying that line, making me think that he didn't want them to end yet.

This show makes me become more certain that you should never choose to sleep with someone who you like, hoping they’d change their mind about not wanting a relationship, especially if you want something more with them. Yes, some people start things casually and can, sometimes, have a change of plan, but it’s definitely something you shouldn’t expect. Generally, it’s always one or the other who ends up getting hurt. I’d say it’s a crappy investment to risk your feelings on.

What they’re BOTH doing isn’t good for each other but its far from toxic. From the very beginning Nabi knew what kind of guy JE was. I keep waiting for him to do something “bad” because of all the comments from the webtoon but it’s yet to happen and clearly both stories are not the exact same. There’s a difference between lying and not over sharing everything that’s going on in your life and this is fine because they are not in a relationship. Everything up till now especially when they started sleeping together JE seems to be very respectful to Nabi. Of course there are still boundaries between them both because again, they are not in a relationship and this is a very realistic situation. With all that said Nabi also has every right to feel what she feels and everything she said in this scene is fair. Clearly JE knows it too. Everything is being told from Nabis perspective so you are meant to feel what she feels and see what she sees but JE has not been given a chance to share his side. We still don’t know anything. On top of that, if the later episodes turn out to be similar to the webtoon and it does become a toxic relationship then I’ll call it for what it is. Toxic. But this is what I see so far in the 5 episodes.
This is the life of being in your 20’s and although you should *not glorify it or normalize it* , it happens and this is my opinion but I’m glad they’re highlighting this and not a perfect love story.

The whole problem wasn’t that Jaeon being a womanizer or Nabi being color blind. The problem of the whole story was actually Jaeon being unclear of his own action. If he says he doesn’t want commitment then he should know his boundary. It’s him who crossed the line first. Jaeona, fwb shouldn’t act jealous okay? That action alone already gave her false hope. Nabi’s already okay with the FWB relationship until Jaeon crossed the line and raised her hope up (giving her gifts and staying with her on her birthday, etc.) to the point that she asked him if he’s seeing anyone else which she knew fwb shouldn’t ask this type of question. The more i think about it the more i feel like Jaeon is the only problem of this drama.
He is. He does what he wants and cares little about what the other might be thinking. See how carelessly he kept watching Nabi in the presence of Seol-a while giving her false hope that she's his destiny or some bullshit like that.

The fact that everything you said is true but just like every other dramas, majority viewers still just decided to side with the male lead and are rooting for this ship to sail because they don't see Jaeon doing anything 'bad' (LOL HOW!!??) & wants the 'handsome' ML to get the girl (also bcz they want Song Kang the actor to finally get the girl) is really proving the fact Nabi is not the colorblind one here, the viewers are.
To some extent it is correct, but nabi is equally responsible in this case bcz Nabi is acting like such a gullible person. I mean, Jae-on kissed another girl in front of her and she just kissed him a few seconds later....i was like seriouslly???🤨🤨🤨🤨 I didn't expect that from her as no one can be that stupid(even if you are in love with that boy)😒😒. So it was her who gave him a signal that she's kind of okay with this. Also she saw Seol-a with jae-eon with her own eyes yet she decided to go back to him without trying to confront him about the reality. I am not saying here that Jae-on is not a play boy. He is definitely. But Nabi is responsible for all of this too. I mean, she got all the red flags very clearly but yet she chose to be a FWB girl for him. Such a pity😒 This is the reason i can't even put the blame on Jae-on for now. I hope after this episode, Nabi finally straighten up her mind and protect herself from a heartbreak eventually.

She acted totally like FWB. She never acted like she owns him. The girl’s not stupid. She just pretended to be stupid to fit in the relationship. She’s also very careful everytime she interacted with him. When he gave her gift and said that she’s important than the exhibition she said in her mind that he’s giving her false hope again. Like she just knew it. And when she wanted to end the relationship she planned to end it nicely. She just want to say let’s end this and go. But it turned out that she asked if he’s seeing anyone else which tells that she lowkey hoped that he might be sincere to her. And that hope didn’t come from nowhere or herself. It’s Jaeon’s action that he sometimes treated her like a lover. The whole FWB part was all okay except Jaeon crossing the line that caused confusion and frustation between them.
Why do I want him to change into a good guy but not end up with Nabi, even after he likes her. In my mind that would be justice for all the girls he has played with

I think most are stuck on the webtoon version of Jae-Eon who is much colder and a literal walking red flag. This Jae-Eon isn’t super great either but he’s definitely different; more caring and warm.

Seems like they both have unmet expectations...she wants him to change to her way, & he expects she won't change & want more from him. And sex changes everything. These expectations weren't communicated in the beginning but, now it's getting intense so, they're forced to say how they feel. At the start of the series, it describes her as someone who doesn't believe in love...& him as someone who doesn't want commitment. I believe they are both so afraid of that thing they need & want the most...real love. Our flawed ideas about how love works seem to cause big trouble for humans...one of life's greatest challenges.
Their on-screen chemistry is amazing. I’m impressed with the director’s angles and perspectives that capture these simple and tense moments at once. The focusing in one the eyes and complicated psychology of what each actor is showcasing is wonderfully done. The voiceovers, the interior monologues.. are just perfect.

I can relate so much to this series because i've Been in the same kind of relationship ~~ thrilling, full of butterflies in the stomach at the early stages but later on it gets toxic and full of uncertainties and insecurities- paranoia 😵... Believe me, also tried avoiding him like nabi to jae-eon but it's really hard esp if the guy keeps on trying to get close to you, makes u feel so special everytime... u see all the red flags but ignored it because u felt so happy. But here's the deal--- even if he commits, if you know he's toxic- get out instantly and don't ever think about marrying him-- he will never change..It's just a delusion. (Based on experience)

I think he’s not ready for that more serious responsibilities in life. Just kept trying coz of our kid. But then i realized last 2021 that he’s a narc aside from being a bipolar, he’s never gonna change. I had my share of mistakes but whenever we get back together, the cycle is just the same. so im thinking of filing for annulment once and for all..

I’m just here to appreciate Song Kang’s acting. The way he expressed shock, pain, guilt, hurt, regret all in a matter of minutes through his eyes and facial expressions alone is remarkable to say the least. I’ve probably watched this clip a dozen times and every time I watch it, my heart aches for Jae-on. I know he is a play boy and I didn’t like him in the WEBTOON that much but the way Song Kang gave life to his character, it really makes me want to root for him. Whatever happens in the end, I hope Park Jae-on changes for the better and gets his version of happiness.
That's why is titled: Nevertheless, because she will stay with him even if he sleeps with other girls. Those are her words in the final episode, she will suffer but nevertheless stay with him. In a situation like this usually it's until he gets board of her. Sad! Very low self-esteem.

This is in my opinion, yes, here the story is that they are friends with benefits, sex friends only, there should be no need to play with your heart. Nabi also agreed from the start. Well, only here I don't agree with Jaeon, it's that he sometimes treats Nabi like his girlfriend, obviously it can make the Nabi fall in love and break her heart.

Yes she was the one who started their relationship but that was a reaction to all the chasing, push and pull he did on her, she asked not to tell anyone and that's to keep her reputation as a FWB situation with a guy that has his reputation as a playboy would have ruined hers and now she's leaving him because he turned out to be involved with an attached woman and unfaithful to her, she's not a child and obviously part of the blame falls on her which is very realistic because in RL the blame for ruining a relationship doesn't fall completely on one side only, they both always have thier mistakes but one of them is always is more at wrong than the other.
but every thing she has done so far was just a reaction to his actions , even her wanting to be more than just FWB is also partially due to him acting like her boyfriend with all the warmness and sweetness, so he was giving her signals and hope.
And when look on what he did he only cared for her when he wanted and it suited him, gave her false signals and confused her, never respected when she pulled away from him and kept pursuing her, gave himself the right to be jealous and possessive of her but denied her the right to have him be faithful to her and here he is playing the victim card when she got fed up with his shit.
Him being better than her ex definitely doesn't make him a good person, one of them is shit the other is shittier.

Not every character have a backstory and it's not necessary to have one . Atleast in real life no person have a backstory why they are jerk . A person is jerk because he is , it's his mentality . Not giving committment it's like they don't want to bear the burden of relationship and it's responsibility , they don't want to be tied up with only one partner when they can play around with no expectations... But it's a drama soo you can expect a backstory

There are no backstories for asshole behaviour. Women want to analyse, rationalize, find some consolation thinking 'maybe he did this because of this past trauma that haunts him'.
They just do it because they can.

I don't know why people are commenting, they don't want JAE EON's character development and wants the same ending as WEBtoon (which FL ending up with SML ), IMO so far in 5 episodes, he kissed TWO girls (one in ep1 and another in EP2 ) before kissing NA BI, after he started his relationship( FRIENDS WITH BENEFITS ) with NABI, w never seen JAE Eon being intimated with other girls, whatever it is he is faithful to it. We don't know his backdrop so far why he became like that or why he is not ok with relationship.
After 5 epsodes i like JAE EON and i don't mind his charcter development and him ending up with FL

I was really happy and proud of Na-bi for doing and sayinh what she wanted to do and say for a long time until I read a comment that it only lasted for half an episode (I was on a break from"Nevertheless" for some reasons but still was watching clips time to time lol) I actually was waiting for them to separate then waiting for affectionate scenes for the first time I felt like they need to end things forever cuz even if it's "FWB" u need to be sincere to that "Friend" or any other friend with whom ur not in a "FWB" relationship

She did the right thing for herself, but in my opinion she has no right to be mad at him. He’s been clear about not wanting a relationship from the start. I get that she’s frustrated and it’s incredibly hard to get away from that but it’s her own fault to get her hopes up, she can’t blame him for that. Even though I don’t like his character by being honest he shouldn’t be in the wrong.
Not gonna lie, I’m still mersmerized by #HanSohee acting in this scene… the girl definitely can deliver her lines! Missing #Nevertheless

Wow, I love this episode. Even if some of us would want a romantic love story till the end or would want to see better for them together, it's just goes to show how in reality not everything in life works out especially finding someone to have a bond with. Even romance and relationships don't always go on like cherry on top of a kdrama and we got to expect or understand the difficulty of finding that 'RIGHT ONE' for you. It's a realization that not everything related to romanticism is love and sometimes there won't be love from nothing or there's love that became nothing. What's important is that you grow from that, act up and declutter all that negativity or toxicity that you should learn to let go.
