AlterTale I remember this undertale AU it was one of my favourites since it isn't sans but toriel in a sans-like personality with somewhat the same powers but different designs. That's what made the game interesting.
Altertale has always struck as the most peculiar of the role-swap AUs. That said, this is sure to be interesting.
This reminds me a lot of my thoughts of mini game where sans uses only red soul mode. Finally saw smth like this idea, author did a great job creating this game
i love how it follows the exact same formula than the original sans fight. it mirrors the original, it’s almost like a mod with changed sprites, dialogue, and attack patterns.
i was NOT expecting to see this again, this is awesome

Its been so long, and yet, Merg still spares in the midway point. Always. Love it
This fangame was very interesting! The sprites and details were honestly so cool. I loved the blinking animation too it was so smooth and delicate. I was interested in the speedy orange soul mechanics since you don't see that everyday. Very cool Merg :)
It took me like a full hour to realize this wasn’t the original playthrough of the demo version
Forgot that Altertale Toriel existed, but I remembered her theme and sprite especially being very cool…and it’s still as cool as ever!

I do like how it's fairly balanced and faithful to the original Sans fight, but I can't help but raise an eyebrow to the fact that THREE whole people worked on the dialogue.
It has broken grammar and poor/awkward phrasing in many instances which is a shame because this game is quite well made otherwise. Do people not proofread anymore or something?
Yeah people don't realise how much broken english makes a game look unpolished, its not like its hard to find English speakers on the internet to fix up the spelling either
It broke the immersion for me so much that I couldn’t help but feel a bit silly watching. I’ll give the devs the benefit of the doubt and assume that English isn’t their first language, but that’s what translators are for. I do really like how the attacks resemble the original fight’s attacks, but re-contextualized with the game’s unique mechanics. The standout for me is at 6:32, where normally as the blue soul you have to jump between rows platforms to avoid the blasters, but now as the orange soul you have to dash in between the gaps of the flames that replace the original platforms.
Missed opportunity for the game to say "I'm going to Librarby's" as a nod to Toriel's liking of books. Awesome mod Zhazha, and awesome gameplay Merg (wished Toriel is a bit taller here tho xD)

Honestly this au is one of my favorites
Theory: Since the soul is orange, you are the bravery soul and this is back when torial was a little girl, she just was way stronger then than now. Also she probably forgot her time-rememberance ability, not including your pie preference, and mabye her version of the blue soul was the red soul.

merg, i have a BIG recommendation for you, play inscryption, i saw that game long ago and forgot about it, then someone in your comments recommended it for you, i remembered inscryption, bought it, and started playing, trust me, THE GAME is one of the best indie games (better than undertale in my opinion) and no, it's not just a simple roguelike game, trust me, it has a big history, big objective, and a lot of things, and also, the game changes ALOT when you finish an act, A LOT, and also one tip, look around the place you are, you'll know when and how to do it while playing the game.
