@@strikiller411 Ye, but Genocide ending is Chara literally destroying the world by slashing it with a 999999999999^999999999999 hit, literally destroying everything and one, only leaving you and them in the void.
After finally getting my lazy ass to beating sans in the original game, I realized how fair and well-designed the fight actually is. You do need at least some ability to think quickly, but for pretty much all of his attacks you can see them for some time before you actually gotta dodge, it's clear what the attacks do and it's not really a fast fight, nor is it confusing. This is what I don't see in most fangames like this, they just throw you into some random cacaphony of differently colored bones and gaster blasters coming at you at mach 10 from all directions while trying their hardest to disorient you or just exhaust you, cause the attacks take 2 minutes each. I get that the entire purpose is to "build" on the sans fight to make it way harder, cause the original battle isn't really _that_ difficult, but something tells me that there's gotta be a better way to achieve that 15:37 :(( you don't like hell, I'm willing to say that Solgryn from I Wanna be the Boshy seems more fair than this (a boss that took me more than 1500 attempts on ez mode)
Its nice how in the original earlier on is more dependent on memorising and learning attacks while later on is more dependent on just sheer reaction coordination and overall skill so you dont have to do the whole fight to memorise an impossible attack at the end of the fight like these fangames often make you do
I'm pretty sure the whole og sans fight was supposed to show you exactly why you're unstoppable. Most of sans' attacks are exactly the same and don't have any randomness because it shows you that you have an unfair advantage that he cannot win against: your saves. Sans cannot just magically realise you remember all of his attacks and change them up: for him every single attempt is the first time he fights you except the fact he knows that you already died. Basically, you can just die until every single of sans' attacks will become like muscle memory, while sans needs to push himself to the limit and outright dodge your attacks just because a single hit will mean he lost. You will eventually win and sans can do nothing about it, that's exactly why he does his final attack. These fangames don't build on that idea at all, they just throw in a bunch of attacks that last so long it's impossible to actually memorize them; every turn wasted on healing will only prolong the battle and you have to perfectly dodge the next attacks if you don't want to waste another (because in most cases the attack in question is consecutive bones or a gaster blaster that shaves off half of your health on contact). Sans wasn't like that at all, his attacks were hard on the first or second time you see them, but they are extremely easy to form a strategy around in one go. While in fangames you better pray to god that 50 deaths is enough to devise a strategy that lets you pass the first 3 seconds of the attacks without dying.
My theory is that a bunch of people saw the Sans fight, saw that it was hard, but didn’t really put too much focus onto _why_ it was hard. As in, what made it seem so hard, what skills did it require, and more importantly, why very few people actually get enraged enough to stop playing the game over it? Because if you look at the surface of the Sans fight, you’ll likely get something along the lines of: - This is the hardest fight in the game! I know, because he kicked my ass seventeen times! - This fight feels very profound. And a lot of people, me included, like it for how profound it feels. - Because this game is hard and profound, that must mean that being hard is the most critical component of making it profound. - The reason why the Genocide Route is great, story-wise, is because our actions have consequences. We’re the bad guy, and we are punished with this difficult fight in order to try and get us to stop killing people. Or at least that’s the gist of what I think people consider when they make most Sans-centric fangames. But what they don’t consider is: - Why is the Sans fight hard? Is it because it’s only difficult relative to the rest of this fairly easy game (apart from Undyne the Undying), shocking us out of a comfort zone we had grown accustomed to and making it seem harder than it is? Is it because it switches the genre of the game from a bullet hell to a platformer? Is it because KR adds a bit of stress to the player due to it being an unfamiliar, damage-over-time mechanic that’s simple, yet unexplained? It it because it targets my reflexes in different ways than the other fights? - Why is the Sans fight profound? Is it because of how unexpected it is to have _Sans_ of all people rocking our shit? Sans, the lazy, perpetually smiling, hobo-lookin’ and actin’ skeleton that stacked hot dogs on our head; who doesn’t even bother to try to fight us in any other route? _That’s_ the guy who’s presenting us our biggest issue at our most powerful? Or maybe the fight is profound because of Sans revealing that he might know more about our RESET ability than we do? Or maybe because of how he pours out part of his heart to us, telling us about his fatalistic viewpoint that we and Flowey instilled in him? Or is it in how his smile strains after we land the killing blow, showing that it was, in all likelihood, voluntary, and thus feigned? Or perhaps is was in how memeable (and low-key meaningful) getting dunked on was. - Was Sans’s fight a “consequence” of our murders? Because as the game framed it, Chara taking our SOUL and tainting our future runs _was_ the consequence, and Sans was more of a physical barrier between us and that since the other physical moral barriers had failed. The Sans fight isn’t supposed to be a punishment, even if it might’ve been slightly cathartic for Sans. Dude was popping’ off over killing an immortal child. - This is a *story* with *nuance,* and most characters, motivations, and factors cannot be simply shortened to “Hero,” “Bad Guy,” “Edgy Omnicidal Child,” “Kill everything because,” and “Stop child because.” Sans’s thing in the Genocide Route is that the only thing that could break him out of his nihilism was the fact that we were going to obliterate reality, and no one else has any chance of stopping us. And _with_ that motivation, he’s attempting to get us to stop by annoying us into not _completing_ the run. He’s not the typical kind of hero that would stop us from doing any part of the run. Nah, he just doesn’t want us to finish it. His motivations and reasoning are particular and unique. He isn’t good, per se. He’s a Lawful Neutral dude with the minimum will to live coming into contact with our Chaotic Neutral/Evil boredom and whimsy. The “Why do something if there’s no point?” to our “Because I want to; shut up!” And I know that this was extremely long, and there’s probably a bunch more bullet points that could be added, but the point I’m trying to make is that people are trying to “recreate the cake from the frosting” as it were. They’re trying to capture the feeling that the Sans fight evoked, but they don’t know all the factors that led to that feeling being created in the first place. A lot of that emotion and buildup can’t be properly invoked by a single hour encounter of playtime, and trying to build from it in a compelling way is inherently an uphill battle, even for people that are good at writing or coding bones and skull lasers. But I think that if one cannot properly dissect the original fight itself, then building off of it in a compelling way is less “uphill” and more “90 degree flat wall,” which is why there are so many fangames that aren’t as phenomenal as they could be out there. …Then again, I’m not a writer, so I could be completely wrong about all of this. I’m just guessing based on what I’ve seen.
Wow, that first sans attack is synced to music so well! Pretty cool dynamic music in this fangame! You're right Merg, there are intentional music shifts at specific parts of the fight, to sync it up with the attack animations. Listen closely, and you can hear when a shift/jump in the track is made.
Hey Merg, you did great, I can understand why it's so frustrating. Its a problem many fangame have, specifically throwing things at the player without warning, which I see his it can be frustrating as no matter how good you are at something, once you get past a part you were stuck on, the problem persists. It's an issue with most fangames, sometimes I think the playtesters ar superhuman for beatin some of these.
heya merg! i decided i wanted to help you out a bit cause i saw you struggle lmao at the 4 blaster segment (like at 6:10) you gotta move all the way to the left and jump, because theres a small safezone there and then for the giant bone wall at 6:11 you just want to go to the right and jump as high as you can while moving to the left at 6:17 you would want to move to the left to go through the orange bone, then stay still. then after the blue bone passes you jump as high as you can at 6:20 you do the same as in 6:11 and then try to jump a bit to avoid the bone thingy lmao at 6:48 take a mix of small jumps and big jumps at 9:55 you jump all the way up then move to the right and at 9:56 you jump and try to move to the left. at 9:59 for the platforms try your best to get to the top right platforms at around 10:02 you make some small jumps up until 10:05 where you move slightly to the left, stop, then move to the left again bcz of orange bone. then at the 2 blasters then juml to the top at like 10:08 jump all the way up then at the orange bone spam, hold the up button lmao and move around i hope this helps a little in making the game not so unfair XD i WILL nerf the amount of damage soon (you should re-download the game after you read this, just in case) and if anyone else reads this: im sorry for making the game so unfair edit: if you still have trouble, add me on gamejolt so i can help you more!

Hey Merg I have a video game suggestion for you. Inscryption is an incredibly well made horror card game with unique mechanics and as for the story, it is just amazing. I don't want to spoil anything but you are in for a wild ride if you choose to give it a try
Either those are made for 3-eyed mutants with insane reaction and predicting abilities, or people who always praise those kinda games are just trolls who ironically love what undertale fangames are by this point, just because it's so impossible you just laugh at someone else trying it on video Like man, I wanna meet you people who say "you just need to be a real pro", show me, SHOW ME WHAT THE F HOW DO YOU PLAY THAT Music work is 10/10. I think it's playing some kinda unnoticeable loop when its your turn going forward with the ost on the enemy turn, making it sync perfectly with attacks. I'm not sure. But this part is respectable.
The thing is the entire Help From the Void was originally just an animation to look cool(kinda like the original Disbelief Papyrus was) the attacks and stuff weren't designed with actually playing them in mind(in the original animation the puzzle from phase 1 straight up always does damage since even if you make it out Sans hits you with a Gaster Blaster) so the attacks were just made to look cool and fit with the music(the animation is very good though go and watch it).
btw merg vennis didnt make hftv he made animation harmony maybe made the whole thing and this is the official game frank has gotten owner of belp from the void i am also the spriter for it bc frank forgot to mention me :/
There are two different types of blasters in this fan game. I’m assuming one is papyrus’s and the other is sans’s. The normal gaster blasters are most likely sans’s if I were to guess. So in other words, yes papyrus does do more damage but no karma and sans does 1 damage and karma
1:52 Merg looks at sans and teases him completely forgetting about his past troubles 2:57 Merg witnesses an attack that triggers a memory 3:00 Merg seems that he has processed what just happened and looks like he just had flashbacks of his rage quitting 3:02 Merg finally appears to have realised the magnitude of the situation if the creator actually made it identical to ‘renewed last breath sans phase 2’. Merg is filled with SUSPICION and frankly FEAR. 3:09 Merg completely says something different to psych the audience, but deep down, he has the feeling. 4:17 Merg witnesses another attack (screen flipping) that triggers way more memories. SUDDENLY, THE MEMORIES ARE FLOODING BACK! Merg: “Wait is this… don’t tell me this is like… (decides not to say to bring back any more trauma) OMG phase 2 immediately begins like this.”

honestly I really love the attack design in this fangame. it doesn't go insanely elaborate with spirals or screens of blue or anything like that, it's precise and quick
There's 5 phases, the 2nd and 3rd are the hardest and the 4th 5th and 1st are pretty easy (4th is easier cus you get double hp and no karma, at least to my knowledge). I'd argue you're on the hardest phase right now, but you've been really really close to beating it (the end comes about after the phase with Undyne and the ensued chaos afterwards).
I can't wait to see you beat this Merg! Remember…… *Stay Determined* Edit: also after rewatching the video I can see your close (maybe really close) to the third phase I think? Sans’ smile is fading and his eye is flashing white. Like before 16:54 you can see all that
Glad this game got an update, Because it's a really good Fangame :) Why do I have a feeling that this is for Merg gonna be the new ,,Last Breath Renewed"...?
Thing is, normally in those Fangames there is a method to the madness. Here it looks like there is no method, just pure madness. I mean, does anyone still remember 'Ink phase 3'? That one where Merg was barely able to get through the first attack? Even that one had a method behind it. A pattern you could memorize and learn. Not sure if I rly like this Fangame apart from the cool animations and music, they gotta work on those attack patterns xD

The attacks aren’t too much like bullet hell on crack but they are actually possible. You are the one youtuber that makes hard undertale fangames seem fun. Very cool Merg :)
Sans is almost on his last breath (never tho) and papyrus is in disbelief. And together, they have a Last Belief. And it's believing they can take you down. Idk i just came up with this
"we could have lived in a world where harmony made the rules, but you ended up sending this land to a gloomy abyss." That's a cool line cause Harmony and Gloomy made the music.
keep in mind that this is based on an animation. in animations the soul just does crazy shit, stuff like suddenly becoming faster, doing perfect circles, all that. that isn't possible here. so no hit is probably not even possible
I can’t wait for No More Deals Chara to show up in the next phase, and then Call of the Void Gaster in phase 4. Asgore and Flowey join the group in phase 5, and then Undyne the Undying comes back to life and kicks into a bucket for phase 6
this fangame is basically " random bullshit spam !" the attacks don t make any sense , it s just die and retry until you remember the patterns by heart .

"Great, now no hit it"
- Basically the Whole Undertale Fandom
So true man
I love the part where sans said: "dont disbelief your last breath wont happen"
Merg is the type of guy to say an undertale mod is hard and then beat it without getting hit after a few days
That depends. . . .
He has more Determination than the 7 human souls and all monster kind
@@TheGamer707.He has so much determination that in the original game he got 2 charas and not 1
Unless it’s like that one game where he quit
if you got even merg to quit you know you’ve really became the ultimate being of power
only if the game is not hard... never seen merg did a no hit with a hard game before and that never going to happen
From looking at the games soundtrack it looks like you were on the last or second to last attack, you did so good
heya merg! i decided i wanted to help you out a bit cause i saw you struggle lmao
at the 4 blaster segment (like at 6:10) you gotta move all the way to the left and jump, because theres a small safezone there
and then for the giant bone wall at 6:11 you just want to go to the right and jump as high as you can while moving to the left
at 6:17 you would want to move to the left to go through the orange bone, then stay still. then after the blue bone passes you jump as high as you can
at 6:20 you do the same as in 6:11 and then try to jump a bit to avoid the bone thingy lmao
at 6:48 take a mix of small jumps and big jumps
at 9:55 you jump all the way up
then move to the right and at 9:56 you jump and try to move to the left.
at 9:59 for the platforms try your best to get to the top right platforms
at around 10:02 you make some small jumps up until 10:05 where you move slightly to the left, stop, then move to the left again bcz of orange bone. then at the 2 blasters then juml to the top
at like 10:08 jump all the way up then at the orange bone spam, hold the up button lmao and move around
i hope this helps a little in making the game not so unfair XD
i WILL nerf the amount of damage soon
(you should re-download the game after you read this, just in case)
and if anyone else reads this: im sorry for making the game so unfair
edit: if you still have trouble, add me on gamejolt so i can help you more!
The dev guide is real
real@@Bengt2509
Yoo Frank. I hardly think it’s your fault that the game is hard since it’s literally a of something that was originally meant to just be an animation.
"Don't tell me its going to turn into one of these insanely hard fangames immedietely"
Welcome to the help from the void timeline, merg
lets go, another help from the void video from merg, never thought he'll continue this but here we are
It’s because it isn’t finished.
this 🍒 deserves far more than 1 mil subs. thank you for the consistent quality videos.
Asgore : Would you like some more tea young man?
Flowey : yes please thank you
Flowey : How much you wanna bet Chara will beat those two physcos?
I just imagine Asgore and or flowey watching this happen lol
Hey Merg I have a video game suggestion for you. Inscryption is an incredibly well made horror card game with unique mechanics and as for the story, it is just amazing. I don't want to spoil anything but you are in for a wild ride if you choose to give it a try
bro is speaking pure facts
oooooh yes yes yes I would love to see Merg play Inscryption jhsfhs
Yes please
YESSSSS I just got inscryption and I am loving it so far, I feel like it would be perfect for merg
I was honestly surprised to find out he hasn't played it. It just feels like something you'd naturally find on his channel
the exact second I say to myself "I'm bored there is nothing to do" merg uploads this video
Either those are made for 3-eyed mutants with insane reaction and predicting abilities, or people who always praise those kinda games are just trolls who ironically love what undertale fangames are by this point, just because it's so impossible you just laugh at someone else trying it on video
Like man, I wanna meet you people who say "you just need to be a real pro", show me, SHOW ME WHAT THE F HOW DO YOU PLAY THAT
Music work is 10/10.
Undyne the undineing no more food is one of my new favorite merg one liners
What minute?
Merg you put so much effort in your videos and you have lots of talent love your videos! And thank you for having a constant upload schedule
btw merg vennis didnt make hftv he made animation harmony maybe made the whole thing and this is the official game frank has gotten owner of belp from the void i am also the spriter for it bc frank forgot to mention me :/
There are two different types of blasters in this fan game. I’m assuming one is papyrus’s and the other is sans’s. The normal gaster blasters are most likely sans’s if I were to guess. So in other words, yes papyrus does do more damage but no karma and sans does 1 damage and karma
AMAZING!!! This brings me back to the animation, where everything is timed. The fact you’re playing this is just so cool.
"C'mon bro, it's easy! Watch me try it."
So happy to see the animations turning into an actual game
1:52 Merg looks at sans and teases him completely forgetting about his past troubles
2:57 Merg witnesses an attack that triggers a memory
3:00 Merg seems that he has processed what just happened and looks like he just had flashbacks of his rage quitting
3:02 Merg finally appears to have realised the magnitude of the situation if the creator actually made it identical to ‘renewed last breath sans phase 2’.
Merg: “Wait is this… don’t tell me this is like… (decides not to say to bring back any more trauma) OMG phase 2 immediately begins like this.”
is this related to his like 5 videos of doing last breath renewed?
@@alexthenoob-dt1il Nah, Dont think so, he was doing fine there right?, he just wanted to extend the hours of joy for us right? He was just understimating him, right? He was only using a little portion of his power, He would normally beat up lb renewed in matter of seconds, right? Wait, I don't know... Right?
you guessed it!@@alexthenoob-dt1il
I mean your right merg is probably gonna do a no hit run after a while
Wait waaa… I don’t think Merg is going to kill himself with a no hit run any time soon… you know how he feels about no hitting fan games like this. Even thinking about it makes his head hurt. If he’s going to no hit run this, he’s going to become ‘Best Undertale Player in History’
I think the original music, with sound effects, has better quality, better sprites, and better music controls, it can never be remade...
honestly I really love the attack design in this fangame. it doesn't go insanely elaborate with spirals or screens of blue or anything like that, it's precise and quick
you gotta love when an undertale fangame gives you no fucking time to react
There's 5 phases, the 2nd and 3rd are the hardest and the 4th 5th and 1st are pretty easy (4th is easier cus you get double hp and no karma, at least to my knowledge). I'd argue you're on the hardest phase right now, but you've been really really close to beating it (the end comes about after the phase with Undyne and the ensued chaos afterwards).
as the dev, I can confirm this is the hardest phase
phase 4 isn't as hard as this
phase 5 is pretty easy.
phase 3 is in-between tbh
Karma makes it a bit easier
Merg on his way to talk as if he was bad at the game while also dodging 935485543 Gaster blasters:
Yo want a comment batel it s you vs scp12309
Didn't expect Merg to give up this quick but I kinda get it since this fight was so chaotic.
I can't wait to see you beat this Merg!
Remember……
*Stay Determined*
Edit: also after rewatching the video I can see your close (maybe really close) to the third phase I think? Sans’ smile is fading and his eye is flashing white. Like before 16:54 you can see all that
Glad this game got an update, Because it's a really good Fangame :)
Why do I have a feeling that this is for Merg gonna be the new ,,Last Breath Renewed"...?
Nothing better than watching a cherry fight 2 super skeletons, stay determined!
“Dude iswapibabidabbiawadoing?!” Facts.
Easiest undertale fangame:
Let’s gooo I was waiting for this
Merg just casually dies without saying anything and tries again till he succeeds. Then does a no hit a day after, this man is insane.
ur comment is false and so wrong
@@luixyshift2814 why do u think so?
@@Walking_W you serious? the last time he did a no hit was 2 month ago and there still comment saying this shit while other player do far better than merg, the community of merg is fully with blind fanboy who truly are idiot merg is completely average he just do no hit to game that are easy to do
Me: Oh, New Vid From Merg
Merg: P A I N
Nice, They brought this back, I almost forgot about this game 💀
he came back to us also I love being early to merg videos but who was expecting ulbr (renewed) sans (or at least the attack not fully ulbr)
Merg is being the first one to play the hardest game of all time
Next video he’s gonna say: “it’s no hittable🗿”
undertale fans trying to make fangame NOT about sans or papyrus:
After your second action the music cuts as soon as the brothers start attacking, that's how they perfectly timed the music at 2:53 (music cut at 2:40).
The fact you died at the end of last attack is funny
18:35 Should have used the face steak. It would've healed you to full and allowed you to have another full heal item.
Me dying 30 seconds later:
@@Merg lol yea fair but if u haven't have died it would've done u some good
Get ready kids cause my brother and I are about to make you hage A BAD TIME
Ummmm guys where is merg?
In the backrooms
i love the part where undyne said its undyning time and became undyne the undyning and then undyned all over the place
Yo I wanna play it so bad but I can't download it. I install it from game.jolt following the link and copy it to my files. After that I can't find the game only some files like create your frisk. I'm begging someone to help me install it.
It's played in Create Your Frisk. You open it, enter the mod list and then play the game from there!
@@Merg thank you so much merg, I didn't expect you seeing this. I'm a huge fan. If you somehow see this could you try dustbelief fangame by Ari? I enjoyed it so much and I hope you will too.
4:48 "Sans with a bone is your worst enemy" me: ... Sans with a bone: heya. Also me: NOPE!!
These fangames r getting out of hand tbh 💀💀
I think there are 3-4 phases assuming sans dies and papyrus is empowered by gaster or something but that’s my prediction. Anyways I love this fangame already! The attacks aren’t too much like bullet hell on crack but they are actually possible. You are the one youtuber that makes hard undertale fangames seem fun. Very cool Merg :)
I just love how he reacts to everything on screen
I love this guy too he knows how to entertain people
Merg you gained a new subscriber :D
yo I commented about this phase on your last video , but this video is cool
I just realized a meme "Snapback to reality"
oh there goes gravity
when you know merg is struggling, you know you are doomed
Sans is almost on his last breath (never tho) and papyrus is in disbelief.
And together, they have a
Last Belief. And it's believing they can take you down.
Idk i just came up with this
NAAAH, UNDERTALE HELP FROM THE VOID AS A GAME?! NO WAY, I'VE ALWAYS WANTED THAT!
I swear bro, music from most undertale fan games always hit hard.
Just the same as the bullets.
I love all the undertale fan games you find and all the good work you do
Title of the next time you play this: Rage Once More at Sans (snas reference)
The last disbelief of the year
Bad time + Merg = victory... even if it takes a while, cool video by the way
Dude litterally has plot armor when doing no hit
"we could have lived in a world where harmony made the rules, but you ended up sending this land to a gloomy abyss."
That's a cool line cause Harmony and Gloomy made the music.
keep in mind that this is based on an animation. in animations the soul just does crazy shit, stuff like suddenly becoming faster, doing perfect circles, all that. that isn't possible here. so no hit is probably not even possible
No hit IS possible, playtester even did it, and some dudes on yt NEARLY did it (like 10hp damage)
Merg, you produce videos in so short time im getting behind-
most fair sans fangame
Bro this fangame had banger music
Last breath is one of my favorite undertale fan games because it goes over extremely and the music hits hard
Sans and papyrus got the undertale last disbelief 💀
Merg, go rest.
Seriously you deserve it.
I can’t wait for No More Deals Chara to show up in the next phase, and then Call of the Void Gaster in phase 4. Asgore and Flowey join the group in phase 5, and then Undyne the Undying comes back to life and kicks into a bucket for phase 6
You can’t forget how alphys tries to help in phase 7, and my favorite part, when asriel helps them in phase 8
Mergz today: man this is impossible
Mergz tmr: NO HIT BLINDFOLDED
Waluigi disbeef and SANEES LOST BREAD are here to bring BAD TOMS AND REGERTS
Hey merg, help from the void never gets old, one of my favourite fanganes of undertale
this fangame is basically " random bullshit spam !" the attacks don t make any sense , it s just die and retry until you remember the patterns by heart .
Merg i Always love ur videos
19:34 there are 5 phases iirc (maybe 6 depends on what is considered canon)
there are going to be 6 phases in the full game
I know this because I'm a dev :P
@@Frankfro66 thanks :)
Just sat down to eat a bowl of cereal, nice timing!
We need a reaction video of merg watching the real animations of help from the void
The fact that another hftv video didnt appear yet. Shows this is harder than harder harder hard
The ultimate duo… unstoppable power… disbelief and pure determination… the duo that “COULD” save the timeline. But merg tries to beat them anyway . Two of the hardest au characters. Yet merg still tries to beat this, respect for this dude.
I may be busy rn but I have priorities I’ve been waiting for this vid
