Followed this video and it’s the best my BB has ever sounded. Thanks for sharing.
So glad to hear!!
Great sound, great tunning technique.

Sick Video Ryan
Thank you very much! Please share this with anyone who you think would get value from it.
I spaced out for a few seconds and Ryan started sounding like Kermit the frog...
found it! thanks man
That’s great to hear! Enjoy
Heck yes, I love tuning videos!
Thank you so much 😊
Great video Ryan. Do you know what would be the best tuning for supraphonic 14x5?
Thanks so much! Honestly I’d try the exact same settings! Some additional ones you can try bottom lug 398hz top 235hz with one moongel
@@Theryanprim thanks Ryan! Will try it and i’ll send you a demo on IG!
I Really like high tunning, I have a Ludwig super sensitive snare 5x14, the bottom head that I like to use it's the Evans hazy 300 with almost 400 Hz of tunning (pretty tight) , and on the top head almost 360 Hz, use your snare with any kind of tunning, but do it right having the same tension in each lug.
400hz in Most cases chokes too much. The feel suffers i find.I Like 330-360hz Reso Tunings with all my snares😊
Totally get where you are coming from. For the sound I’m going for if it’s lower than 380hz on reso it lacks the “bite” I want with the snare to have. but I’m glad that you have certain frequencies that you like. 👍 thanks for watching
In my experience as someone who hovers around 400mhz, I only get choking when I over tension my snare wires.
Using a stick on the reso head (snare) is a really bad idea, you are damaging the head as it’s super thin. Use a mallet! Thanks for the video ;)
I've been using a stick on the reso side to tune since the mid 80's. I've yet to ever put a divot, scratch or even a slight mark. If you damage it, you're simply hitting it too hard which is not required when tuning the bottom head.
