I definitely agree with a lot of Gabe’s POV when it comes to Social Media, while Jon also has a lot of great points. I guess on my end I’m a lot more like Gabe when it comes to social media platforms. I would hate to think I’d have to nearly be a clown to get people interested, but approaching it as Jon said also makes so much sense to make a brand work in my favor.
Can confirm, as somebody just getting into the industry now, I LOVE watching the process of a tattoo. It's my plan when I'm full time in a studio to make that sort of content myself because I understand there's a want for it from people in my position and creatives in general. Big audience that don't get much content.
I stand with G Money... I'm not dancing around and I'm not selling my personality online and I'm fully booked without any gimmicks. Todays tattoo world reminds me of a song by Gang Starr - Mass Appeal.
I don't do DMs and always refer people to my email and website. I use auto response on the studio page. My personal page I get around to every couple weeks. But they usually find my email after I don't respond anyway.
