Definately true but I think your missing the overall picture. WCKD truly believes what they are doing is good and in many eyes, they are good. So in a sense the guys who created the monsters are not always "bad" or not always "good." I think this movie did a great job at displaying what the real world is like. There is no good or bad as defined by kids movies. The world is harsh and decisions must be made.

It's just so illogical, it doesn't work on paper. The world's dying, the sun scorched everything. Billions dead and we have a zombie virus going around too... Quick.. we need cyborg robots to test children. In the last of us, Joel saves Ellie which dooms mankind. Very similar to the over all plot of this movie. Wckd = firefly's, Ellie = maze runners. Rebels = joel. I would argue that the firefly's are good because they want to save humanity by killing and studying Ellie and Joel is bad for the right reasons. However, if the firefly's diverted a crazy amount of finite time and people to create an elaborate maze including greavers that kill children, what's the point in convincing the runner's you're good when they just had to think about it. Every new runner there wakes up in a box with no memory, that just implies to me that whoever (wckd) is in charge doesn't care about you as a person and treats you like an animal test subject. I hope I made it as clear as possible, it's the characters reactions to this that I don't find believable considering what they went through. This scene is made pretty redundant anyway since half the second movie is finding out they wanna treat them like Ellie. One person calling bullshit in this scene would have made it work in my opinion.

This in turn sets off a fake blood exploding patch on the other side of her head hidden by makeup and her hair. Now she would have the fake blood, makeup, and the remains of the exploding blood patch on one side of her head, and the other would have the remains of burning powder residue that showered her from the revolver chamber, as with the barrel being plugged the flash of burning powder residue would still escape from the revolver cylinder and still cover the side of her head with some of it.. So no real injuries if everything goes right, just a bit of a mess.

So they built multiple city sized mazes and spent all that money, resources, and time just to test out some teens brains? Seems like a lot of wasted effort that should’ve instead been put to effectively finding a cure
Something I did notice in the second movie. First. In this movie, Galley “dies” in the maze. Or so they thought. In movie 2, when Galley returns the teens are all stunned. But then look at Eva Paige. The group watches Eva shoot her self in the head (or so they thought). Then in episode 2, then Eva returns the teens don’t seem surprised one bit.
When I first saw these movies I liked how everything became clear in this scene, but hated how this hard truth helped lead to Teresa’s betrayal. 0:53 That look she gave Thomas, in retrospect I wonder if that was a hint she was already starting to get her memories back
