Hello Kelly, Love your tutorials. Thank you for all your videos have learn so much. Made your design on Canva and took it over to Printify, when I preview it, the design does not go all the way down to cover the whole tumbler, it lives a white ring. What am I doing wrong. Thank you!
Hard to say without seeing what you are doing but sometimes you can just resize your design to fit. Make sure you check the dimensions for the tumbler you are using. Some are different sizes.
Thank you for your videos Kelly! I hope you got my message earlier in regards to blankets and files-images that will work size wise for full all over print but more so for using Canva to create it maybe a child’s milestone blanket and getting the main image for example a panda. In printify I think dpi is 150 but if you take an image from CF as you did in this one it’s usually too small so I assume we would have to upscale it, use certain images or maybe only a few elements from it if able to separate them. I have been looking for days on you tube for blankets and not just patterns bc that is covered it’s more for any of design and to make it custom and and be able to go back in and personalize for customer and move those images a tad if needed for a name either in corner or all over. The shape cloud in CF only allows one font and we are competing with sellers that have multiple fonts and colors so maybe that’s too saturated but they don’t have as many with the name and initials with elements. To maybe match a theme in a nursery. There are many paper backgrounds in CF like you used today but not all can be separated for us to move but I guess we could just print over the elements or images with dark font or some blanket are 2 sided print but I think that’s more costly. The swaddle blankets seem ok to just use patterns with maybe a corner name-the youth ones are bigger and they are more custom like “dinosaur” and the name throughout or in the mid section and that’s what I don’t know how to do if we have to create sections at a time re upload copy/paste how would you get that name in the middle? After doing all 4 squares crop out a 1/4 off top and bottom (mid section) and put “NOAH” for example is one I saw on Etsy earlier. Anyway, ensuring the print size diminutions and personalization is what I need badly and in the comments on other videos are a lot asking same questions. Ty!!!
I will add this to my list but it will be a couple weeks before I get to it. In the meantime. I use canva and printful for blankets and to make sure they are large enough I design on a 5400 x 4500 pixel page and when you go to download you move the size from 1x to 2x it will be large enough for the biggest blanket on printful and I find them to be good quality and very soft.
@@therapydesigns6426 ok I will work on it and I may be able to get one done with one design or background. I still don’t know how they do the all over print (names) I have found word generators but they don’t integrate with Etsy so I’m not sure how to fulfill that
No I don't have a specific video on that yet. I have printful integrated with my seller central account and do have some videos showing how to use printful. I also have pro and con videos talking about the differences between Amazon merch, Etsy, Amazon Seller Central and RedBubble. Check out my channel for more videos
Hello, thank you so much for your tutorials. I am brand new to this type of digital crafting. Could I take a freebie "commercial use" paper from CF, make edits like you did here, upscale, etc. and sell the end product as a digital tumbler wrap?
So if you create something with multiple elements and save it. Do other crafters have access to it? Can you sell it digitally? Or only by placing it on an object?
You can sell it digitally because once it is saved as a PNG it is grouped together as one image and can not be broken down into it's individual layers.
They each have some different products at different price points. You can always use both to integrate with Amazon or Etsy and add products from both. Really they are just different 3rd party print companies.
Hi, Kelly, Do you have to have a merch account with Amazon to sell POD? I do have an account, but I use it for FBA. I just applied for merch, but I must wait 14 days. Can I use Printful and Redbubble integration instead of waiting for Amazon approval?
@@therapydesigns6426 Thank you for your excellent assistance, Kelly. I appreciate your prompt response. Initially, I wasn't keen on pursuing FBM, but now I am interested and will pursue it. Have a fantastic day!
Hi I have a question.. whenever we design a tshirt or clothing we export designs with transparent background but do I need to export designs without any transparent background for mugs, tumblers or phone cases?
Depends on whether or not your design fills your whole frame or not. In my example, the design filled the whole frame so there was no background to make transparent. You need transparent backgrounds with clothing that comes in different colors when your design does not fill the whole frame.
There will be a seam anytime you do an all over print unless it is a seamless pattern that is perfectly placed. You can minimize it by trying to make sure the sides of your design are around the same or by doing a single design on a solid colored background.
Will doing it in pixels get you the 300 dpi? I'm struggling to get my design to print in any decent quality and my hubby says its coz it's not 300dpi?? Please help xxx

I believe so far as you take it and make some alterations to make it your own that you can.
@therapydesigns6426 Thank you so much!
thank you so much for the dimensions! i am using printify rather than printful but it seems like the back of the tumblr is not "seamless" - any tips?
you can not change how the print company prints it and some products will have a seam no matter what you do
How do you make the design you have seamless, i mean when you create your design the borders match....
If you do not want any seam on the back of the tumbler you would have to use a repeating seamless pattern vs one decorative wrap

You can sell it digitally because once it is saved as a PNG it is grouped together as one image and can not be broken down into it's individual layers.

You can integrate Printful with Amazon Seller Central to do FBM without having to be accepted like with Merch By Amazon. I do both.

Also please make a tutorial on how to design pod skirts in canva..
What do you do if there is a seam on the back where the designs are not seamless? How do you fix that?

Mine always prints fine but if you want to improve the quality just increase the size from 1x to 2x when you download off Canva
