I like the TKO merger. It would be great to see old veteran UFC fighters get opportunities within the WWE, giving them incentive to retire from fighting early vs sticking around too long and getting KO'd 6 times in a row
Vince is what you get when you give a carney a fortune, the competitiveness of Michael Jordan, the pettiness of every 16 year old who didn’t get a car on their birthday, and infuse them with steroids.
I can see why vince would see ufc as competition, the two are like distant cousins and share a ton of lineage together, UFC fans still have a lot of resentment for WWE bc the two get confused by some still, but really the two are way more similar than they are different and as weird as a move for endeavor to have bought and merged both might seem to some, it actually makes complete sense as someone who is a devout follower of both
7:09 how did this work? Not that I don’t believe it but I thought Spike was a cable program, how did they have local ad time? I didn’t think cable networks had local affiliates, open to being completely wrong about that though.

10:06 I could only imagine Cyborg Santos’ face when he realized he was scripted to get his skull caved in, or Silva and Weidman’s faces when they read the script realizing their legs would literally break and fold underneath them
UFC made WWE pretty much obsolete. Not just because of the fact that WWE is only scripted, but also because UFC is also simply way more entertaining. WWE and pro wrestling itself just doesn't feel authentic anymore (and mind you, I say this as an oldschool wrestling fan). UFC got the characters, the entertainment aspect, the competitiveness, the drama (only that it's not scripted, which makes it even more interesting), the press conferences... Why bother watching the "fake" version of it, if you got a much better alternative, that is on top of that also real, and authentic? UFC and MMA simply conquered this century so far. And they'll continue to conquer, while WWE and pro wrestling will continue to decrease.
WWE is trying it's best, they kinda are trying to emulate UFC a bit (with all the press conferences, which is pretty cool). They're doing better now compared to a few years ago, but it still won't change the outcome. The signs of the times have changed, even Vince couldn't change that. Finally, he lost this one. And even better to see, that he fucked off for good, for all the awful things he did behind the scenes. Dude might be a “genius”, but an absolute scumbag as a human being. Always was! Also destroyed pro wrestling by killing the territories, and making it a monopoly. No wonder this industry sucks today in general, since besides WWE there's nothing interesting to watch.

I personally don't watch the newer stuff. Really just an old school Attitude era fan, but I also recognize WWE is doing really well. I don't like half the movies out there either, but doesn't mean everyone else has to dislike it too. I'm totally cool with it.
Regarding letting UFC on Spike, contrary to what was said at the start of the video, Paul Heyman said that early on Vince thought they were two different audiences and that Heyman was the one who saw it as a threat and advised McMahon not to let UFC on but he got overruled, with Vince have a change of heart later as it started to get traction.
It'd weird because I think there is at least some overlap in the audiences but watching one has never made me dislike the other. MMA is basically pro wrestling if the in-ring action was "real" but actual pro wrestling is more about the story (in ring and out) than the "fight" itself.
Vince is also known for the statement "everything is competition". I think I lean towards the idea that the sport was on its deathbed when the UFC signed with Spike. Vince just thought it would fail. So he started to see it as competition once it found success.
I always thought it was funny that with Brawl for All, the WWE tried to script it so they could get the guy they wanted to win to win.For instance,Steve Blackman had legit martial arts skills and was easily the best kicker of the bunch. He said before his fight that a WWF official came to him in the dressing room and told him that no kicks were allowed. Many of the wrestlers did not know all the rules and the WWF would change them week to week. The whole thing was a disaster right up to Bart Gunn getting KTFO by Butterbean at Wrestlemania!
Bro, Brock was suffering from multiple internal health conditions so Vince sent Undertaker to tease Brock to come back to WWE. He came to WWE a year later, with a condition that Brock would receive full time payment for working part time. You know the rest.

Vince McMahon really needs to be studied in a legitimate, unbiased business school. The man will go down as the greatest promotor of all time.
Hey - Who sh*t on my head?

Such a cool video. Loved how in depth you went. Proper journalism and journalistic integrity.
Taking a dump on the girls face is crazy 😂
Great work fellas
That clip from O'Donnell is wild. Thats how I'm going to describe MMA to anyone who asks 😅
A slogan above my desk. 😆
As usual, another great MMA On Point video.
MMA On Point = 💯
I like the TKO merger. It would be great to see old veteran UFC fighters get opportunities within the WWE, giving them incentive to retire from fighting early vs sticking around too long and getting KO'd 6 times in a row
Vince is what you get when you give a carney a fortune, the competitiveness of Michael Jordan, the pettiness of every 16 year old who didn’t get a car on their birthday, and infuse them with steroids.
I can see why vince would see ufc as competition, the two are like distant cousins and share a ton of lineage together, UFC fans still have a lot of resentment for WWE bc the two get confused by some still, but really the two are way more similar than they are different and as weird as a move for endeavor to have bought and merged both might seem to some, it actually makes complete sense as someone who is a devout follower of both
Dana gets the last laugh. Seems about right.
7:09 how did this work? Not that I don’t believe it but I thought Spike was a cable program, how did they have local ad time? I didn’t think cable networks had local affiliates, open to being completely wrong about that though.
"An undesirable influence on youth" look at social media id rather my son was into mma rather than idolise these modern day clout goblins
I’ve always hated Vince and now my whole hate is justifiable with all the worms spilling out of the barrel
Aww, simp
Dana White is one of the most vindictive people alive, wouldn't be surprised that all the trouble Vince McMann is in now didn't have something to do with Dana White.
Vince will go down as a crackhead
Dana will go down as one of the greatest businessmen of the 21st century

Appreciate you dude! Popping my joints thinking about your legendary vids. 😆
At the beginning Vince looks like he should be demanding pictures of Spider-Man be brought to his desk no later than 3:00 p.m. Sharp

MMA Fans: WTF is wrong with you man?
WWE Fans: First time? 😅
Both are deffective human product.
@@gregorsamsa2271yeah it has nothing to do with wokeness... It's not like Hollywood is dead for the same reason kid ...

@@MMAOnPoint i dont think the sport was on its deathbed since PrideFC was on Top and that was more in line with Vince is trying to put: A Spectacle
19:47 Hot men? Pause.
I'll summarize this video in one sentence. Vince is Daniel Day-Lewis in Let There Be Blood.
They both make Bill Cosby look like a saint.
Crazy thing is Jared from Subway was once in WWE as well. They all forming an offender alliance 😂
Thats a bit of a stretch. I mean, it's Bill Cosby.
@@ReactEditsPapas13 Bill at least had the common courtesy to drug them so they didn't remember. Vince and Dana want to see the fear in their eyes

@@ReactEditsPapas13 Bro, you trying to actually argue over who is worse. On a joke post. You need a friend or something?
The undertaker calling out Brock was hilarious. “Wanna do it? Wanna fake fight me?”
Who knew it would lead to breaking the streak? Lol
When I first heard it, I thought him saying "you wanna go?" was in regards to leaving the arena and having a beer or something.
Bro, Brock was suffering from multiple internal health conditions so Vince sent Undertaker to tease Brock to come back to WWE. He came to WWE a year later, with a condition that Brock would receive full time payment for working part time. You know the rest.

WWE tried to buy PRIDE to keep it away from UFC. Put Dana in the seat without a view when Dana came to see Ronda. And UFC has done much bad stuff... UFC based their company on WWE the good and the bad.

"If he dies, he dies" - Joe Rogan
Vince was just trying to create an enemy out of the UFC because he's a competitive psycho
When two people beef for a lifetime then end up on the same team at the end it tells ya the gig is up step 1 has played out so now to step2.
The UFC would have been bigger, faster without Joe Silva.
How?
@@hakr4751JS notoriously held fighters back when they didn’t comply w what he wanted or tried to negotiate. Would freeze fighters out leaving them sat there for ages without a contract or offer them fights way below their ranking knowing they’d sit out.
He was a spiteful and malicious little man by MANY accounts. There’s a reason you hear a lot of fighters big up Hunter, you never heard them mention Joe.
I think he participated in some ruthless business tactics for sure. I think it helped em in a ton of ways from a sadly unethical strategy. I think more of the harm he's done to the UFC is coming forward in the Anti-Trust case. At the time though, I think it absolutely helped them.
He’s a fire starter. He loves emotionally turning things upside down to push the competition. He knows it’ll make the most momentum since it’s a real life promo. And also giving both promotions $$$
