Wasnt aware of that beach in the 80s Roughly how far/what direction from Free Zuma? A long wave ride might get me back in the water but generally our waves suck. Rise & break too fast and unless you get a good swell are too small. I wouldnt ever eat the fish right off the coast like that even miles out. Was that way 40 yrs back
My wife and I walked along the beach from the lagoon to Malibu pier and right through a magazine shoot. The photographers and models yelled but it was too late. We had blundered right through the intricate writing that had been carved in the sand for the photo-shoot! We probably ruined their entire day! 😅
I think of you as my Tokyo connect. If you come out to the Valley, I will buy you breakfast at Nat's. If you are not from L.A. I have 2 great and under youtubed hikes.

I was disappointed in Malibu overall. Cool cliffs but the beaches seemed smaller than I liked.

I think so. I have both. And I don't use the Rode mics at all anymore

Was the Mic kind of louder than normal? Did you notice that too?
I have a few different mics I use for these walking tours. This was the DJI Mic which generally picks up the best

Back in the late 60’s we would catch 8 to 12 lb halibut consistently from the pier……

As someone who grew up in America it doesn't have that connotation here. In the US it means "Bold and Courageous"
