This historic landmark is located in the heart of California's "Billionares Beach" home to many rich and famous Hollywood celebrities. Surfers from around the world come to Surfrider Beach adjacent to Malibu Pier, known for its three-point break that offers rides of 300 yards or more. The festive seaside atmosphere of good food and fun is returning to the famous pier with Malibu Farm Restaurant and Café and gift shop located at the end of the pier.

I was disappointed in Malibu overall. Cool cliffs but the beaches seemed smaller than I liked.
Indeed.. The beaches in Orange County are much nicer
That looks quite nice especially with the views of Malibu from the pier!
I’ve been in love with Malibu and the Malibu Pier all my life; and the Billionaires’ Beach is my favorite in all of Orange County.

Love this video Chris,we were going to visit while in L.A in 1996 but didn't have time.Did you know they filmed Baywatch and Baywatch Nights there sometimes?

Wasnt aware of that beach in the 80s Roughly how far/what direction from Free Zuma?
A long wave ride might get me back in the water but generally our waves suck. Rise & break too fast and unless you get a good swell are too small.
I wouldnt ever eat the fish right off the coast like that even miles out. Was that way 40 yrs back

Chris, Are the DGI mics better than Rode 2 mics?
I think so. I have both. And I don't use the Rode mics at all anymore
My wife and I walked along the beach from the lagoon to Malibu pier and right through a magazine shoot. The photographers and models yelled but it was too late. We had blundered right through the intricate writing that had been carved in the sand for the photo-shoot! We probably ruined their entire day! 😅

Was the Mic kind of louder than normal? Did you notice that too?
I have a few different mics I use for these walking tours. This was the DJI Mic which generally picks up the best
I think of you as my Tokyo connect. If you come out to the Valley, I will buy you breakfast at Nat's. If you are not from L.A. I have 2 great and under youtubed hikes.

I thought the water was cold there , those people at 2:23 didnt have any scuba gear on , just bathing suits
The water was probably around 70F when I shot this
Spunky Princess, might want to know Spunky has a derogatory meaning in UK, maybe not best to call her that on a video with international viewer's
As someone who grew up in America it doesn't have that connotation here. In the US it means "Bold and Courageous"
Food was not that great actually, only expensive really!

Lived here in Torrance the South Bay my whole life but have never made it to Malibu Pier thank you so much !🌊🤍⛱️ PS I'm sorry San Diego lost their football team but I for one am thrilled by Justin Herbert and the team & their fabulous SoFi stadium🏟️⚡🏈
