- Academia: School Simulator returns to the channel as we dive back in after ten months away to see just what the game looks like now with all the fancy changes!
This is the alpha 3 version of the game with all of the themed updates released for the game so far, so that's Law & Order, Land Expansion, School Spirit, Food Fight and Eventful Days. That's a lot of new content!
Of course we dive in and immediately set up our school, with the name, motto, logo and uniform. Then we choose our school pet (thanks to everyone who voted!) and our exciting new Principal.
Then comes the building of the school but there's all sorts of new and wonderful things for us to look at and I do get easily distracted...
NOTE: This is the Early Access version of the game.

Build a high school with fantastic facilities like science labs, basketball courts, and art rooms, or do the bare minimum and live off government subsidies! Will you offer your delinquent students counseling, or simply send them to detention to let them waste their lives away? Will you hire the best teachers or cheap out and build giant classrooms with a 1:100 teacher to student ratio? Will you build enough toilets, or snicker as your students are forced to relieve themselves in the bushes? The choice is yours!
Academia : School Simulator is a cheerful yet challenging management game from the artist of Prison Architect and the studio that brought you Political Animals.
Student motivation is driven by various needs, including hygiene, hunger, and discipline, and they'll become even more complex as time goes on, eventually competing in school competitions like spelling bees and even falling in love.
Teachers are unique, with different subject specialties and degrees. Eventually they will also have their own motivations that need to be satisfied so they can keep teaching at the highest level.
Build Canteens, Clinics, Computer Labs, Common Areas and much more as you create your dream Educational Complex.
Do you think the janitors aren't doing a good job? Plot out their routes yourself in order to ensure maximum efficiency.
From potted plants to statues and fountains, we have everything to make your school the envy of all! And we'll keep adding decorative objects so that you can have a completely unique school.
Students that look like zombies and eat brains? why not? Want to run a school where the students are literally prisoners? Whatever floats your boat! Image mods are available now, and language and other mods will follow in the future.
Customize your school seal and motto to make a school that is uniquely yours!
Normal mode requires you to balance your budget and provide the best education that you can with your money, while sandbox lets you go utopian with unlimited money!

The Geek Cupboard can you place floors because the janitors cant clean dirty floors if it is just dirt and also it is getting on my nerves that ground soil which is technically an outdoor floor is inside an actual building.

I think the problem is you forgot to sort out the student schedules. Everyone is having their lunch and breaks at the same time so everyone is trying to use the toilets all at once. I think once you get that sorted they should't use the bushes as often. So glad this series is back btw.

this is my fav series so glad it's back it really cheered me up today and penge I don't know if you noticed but the builders are building the walls and they are not locking themselves out of the school. HOORAY!!!
Interesting - I've never seen this game before, but it reminds me of Prison Architect, which is a great game. I wasn't around for the other two seasons, but think I'm going to enjoy this a lot! Not that I expect any less from Penge as every series of his I've seen has been thoroughly enjoyable. Great job, as always! Hilarious that you're worried about them tracking mud inside the school when the school floor is covered with grass.
I hope they'll port this game to consoles one day, I would love to manage a prison architect like this just make it interesting.
Do the Piece-of-Cakes gain influence if they send their kids here?
Haha, I remember when you play this for the first time. It took many Let's Play's before you put a floor into the Cafeteria/Canteen. I kept yelling at my computer screen for you to floor it. Because it was one of the reasons your kids kept getting sick when eating in the dirty Cafeteria/Canteen.

Fun Fact: recent update, if you sell your school you can start over with loads of cash... Sold my last school for 5 million and now I have no idea how to spend all that cash on a new school! Good to know for season 4? *wink*

@@TheGeekCupboard so glad the defecating in bushes is still a thing....made me chuckle 😂 I do like the idea of a science block, arts centre etc I also remember the lofty heights of the 5th form block at school...so cool we had our own building to rule our school from 🤣
1. It looks to me like your garbage cans could be backwards... which might be the issue with the janitors.
2. How do the janitors clean the dirt off the dirt? Do they wash the dirt... or sweep it, perhaps?
3. Suggestion - dismantle some of the bushes and trees that are close to the school walls so the students don't "sense" them nearby and go there instead of to the toilets.

It costs to have the classroom as detention room so you can use one and all the kids will go there and you only pay the one money .

I don't think you added floors to the rooms... but I remember they were (and probably still are) a pain to do.

You pay money for each classroom you mark as detention room. If you have less than 16 students for detention. 1 classroom assigned for that would save you money.

@@TheGeekCupboard Sorry my friend, I was envisioning the Schools I went to, they used to build these outbuildings and you would walk across campus to each building.
In college as well, they had these Huge purpose built buildings. The Computer lab, with all the teachers offices on the second floor. A cafeteria with a relaxation areas, which held the admin offices.
I was looking at your buildings, and it was one long, MAYBE a pathway outside, but was surrounded by a wall, that made it ONE big building.
OR did you mean you wanted to build a smaller school, MY bad if that was your idea. YOUR idea is probably 100xs better that's why I watch you, instead of PRSION, I am going to build my Junior High, they thought it would be a prison, but instead made it a school!
