The northeastern side of hurricanes is the worst. Harvey was a big rainmaker but this one is pretty average and not a strong of a hurricane so that sounds normal. I'm glad you didn't get much. I saw some pretty neat pictures of the water pulled out to sea.... Unfortunately it's rushing into areas north of you as it pulls around the low pressure.
