Oli, you are certainly a very talented trumpet player and sound engineer! I have always had great respect for trumpet players who work the studios and sound stages for movie soundtracks. Keep up the good work my Friend! 🎺🎶🎵👍

Hey, have you thought about releasing book with your scores and background music on CD (for instance). You created really nice covers and solos, I think more advanced players could play it and support you as well :P

that's a good idea! Not something I can probably do anytime soon, but definitely something to think about for the future. Thanks for the idea

@@oliparker Perhaps something that could be a subscriber perk in the future? Rather than a book which takes loads of time and money - just have it online somewhere (:

Jazz improv is a feeling. You have to know your instrument very well!! You've got it nailed!!! I envy anyone who can who can improvise extremely well. You are outstanding!!!I can feel it, but I don't know how to play it!!

I love the idea of instrumental only. These difficult but soothing rhythms would be fun to play for me on trumpet (I’d call it difficult bc I’ve been playing trumpet since the 5th grade and I am now a freshman.) But I’m ahead of my game, especially compared to most freshman trumpet players, and I think I could really manage to play this song only within a few weeks up to a month.

hey Oli, was wondering if you could give a couple of tips to an intermediate trumpet player? Just wanted some insight on what you find effective and beneficial so I can apply it.

Wow two different versions of Havana that you made?? That’s pretty cool. It’d also be interesting to hear your backing tracks without your amazing solos, however since what you’re posting is a cover and all, I’m not sure how that’d fare with copyright bs but I think you should give it a try

I love your music I think you’re an amazing musician. I’ve seen you use different mouthpieces what kind are they? Also what kind of trumpet do you use?

    • @YanoshSquarepants

      From the video description: -
Trumpet model - Bach Strad Model 37
Trumpet mouthpiece - honestly don’t know for sure as it doesn’t have an engraving and got it years ago, but I think it’s either a 3B, 7C or 7E as I also have another 7E and 3B and those were the only mouthpieces I used when playing classical stuff so it wouldn’t be too dissimilar from them.
      Flugelhorn - Yamaha Custom
Flugel mouthpiece - Phil Parker FL66

If you ever plan on making a part three, I have a question..
Did you ever think you were going to take off having over 50 thousand people see you making music and trumpet solos when your first picked up a trumpet?
