    Are you pronouncing Philippi correctly, long ī on the last letter? Not being critical just trying to find correct pronunciation of these cities for Bible class.

    The First Original Philippine in Biblical history the Phippians written by Apostle Paul of Gentile Christian.
    2nd is the Philippines
    Country. Original name by Ophir the traveller brother of Queen Sheba. Changed the name to Philippines by Magellan year 1521 to be Christian nation.

    The city of Philippi from the Bible is today's city of Plovdiv. Historians have proven it. today's Philippi was a garrison in Greece and there is no river in it.
