Disney has been a movie-making powerhouse since Walt and Roy established the company in 1926. Since then, it’s gone from strength to strength, turning into something so big that it can’t be rivalled. Now one of the most famous companies in the world, Disney has churned out hit upon hit upon hit, keeping kids and adults entertained for almost 100 years.
So much goes into making these movies, including a lot of storyboarding. What we see in the theatres is the product of scrupulous work and a lot of heavy editing. With that being said, not everything that is drawn up makes it into the finished product. In this video, we’re going to delve into some of the saddest deleted scenes that didn’t make it into the movies.
We’ll touch upon some fan favorites, from The Lion King and Lilo and Stitch to Frozen and Cars. If you think your fragile heartstrings can take it, stick with us. You don’t want to miss this!

There was a deleted scene in Mulan of Shan Yu killing a man who was hiding a canary in his pocket. It was cut for being too graphic for the kids.
Not only is that graphic, that's dark as hell
@Yesha’s blooper glupper It is dark as all hell. I really do wish that they kept that scene though. That scene alone serves as a reminder of how menacing Shan Yu is and how much intimidation and brute force he holds.

I love that not all older females are evil. Especially older sisters. This movie brought my little sister and I closer because we have a big age gap between us and she always saw me as the mean older sister even though I was just being a second mother because it was job to take care of my younger siblings.

In Bambi They originally wanted to show the hunter who killed Bambi’s mom burned to a crisp in the forest insinuating that he started the fire and then got trapped and died.

I read the book Bambi was based on... It had some pretty dark stuff... Like the Great Prince showing Bambi a dead human to prove that humans are only mortal, like deer. And there was another buck who got shot because he was raised by humans and therefore lost his fear of hunters. And adult Bambi had philosophical regrets about having to live as a buck, separate from his doe, except during mating season. Ronno was a character too... he wasn't just invented for the sequel.

We bought the Special Edition of Beauty and the Beast, so that's the one I grew up with, and I was completely gobsmacked when I learned that it wasn't actually the original release

I think the zootopia one shouldve made it.... I think that storyline would be interesting... But im not gonna complain, cuz zootopia was a great movie, 5 of 5 stars i LOVE zootopia just the way it is
The whole premise originally was that predators had to wear those collar from a young age at all times and if they showed too much emotion (anger or happiness) it would shock them. They had a scene with a polar cub getting the collar from his dad like it was a step into adulthood despite being the equivalent of 10 and when he got too happy, it shocked him. The look on his face right before running to his dad for comfort. i think they would had to have tread carefully with that plot since it's allegory for race already
@@ThaOddGurl I feel like they could develop that into a totally different project, or a "same-world" story but in a different country/city so besides tackling race they could tackle culture-shock/different places more like that too. Though then it'd be like basically justifying the collars AFTER part 1 so idk if that would work.
Ikr I love the movie just the way it is, but at the same time the collars though... I am a huge Zootopia fan and have done lots of research, and I found the whole storyline, and I love it

The 2017 Beauty and the Beast has days in the sun which is like that song
"Let It Go" was the main reason that Elsa ended up as something other than the evil Snow Queen. The authors wrote the song and liked it so much that they knew it had to be in the movie. There was one little problem though. "Let It Go" just plain doesn't work for a villain. So Elsa was turned into one of the heroes, and Prince Hans got shoe horned into being the villain. That's why his evil turn felt so forced; it was. He wasn't supposed to be the bad guy, but "Let It Go" demanded a goodhearted Elsa. There still had to be a bad guy though; so Hans got a sudden evil makeover, and Anna punched him in the nose.

Huh, well I felt a bad vibe from Prince Hans when he was first introduced, so when he turned, it didn't seem very forced to me.
A tiny little tweak in Let It Go's vibe would've made it a good antihero song. It's not fit to be a villain song, but Elsa being a hero doesn't really sit well for me either.

One thing I like about Zootopia is the intense metaphor behind it. It's actually about racism. Predators are "black" and prey are "white." If you rewatch it knowing that information you'll actually see the entire movie in a totally different light.

Im glad they cut Human Again. It's too long and gratuitous. It wasn't necessary then, and it's not necessary now.
I feel like Human Again works better in the stage version of the show, which is far more adult. I've never seen the 2002 release, but I have to wonder how on earth they managed to deal with "I'll be courting again, chic and sporting again/which should cause several husbands alarm." Yeah, Lumiere in the stage version is, um . . . . . I'm just gonna say it, he's a real manwhore.
