In this video we are investigating a derelict mansion which was owned by two families. On the one hand, Marcello used to live there together which his wife and children. He sold his antiques on a local auction nearby Milan city. On the other hand, Mario used to spend his lifetime there with his family. There were beautiful remnants of the past left inside - watch and find out.

Oh my, your videos really do just keep getting better and better! I hate to see all these beautiful antiques being lost but you boys do make the contrast with the decay also very beautiful. I have been binge watching since I found your channel, I really have to stop for tonight and go to sleep. You are probably going to get tired of me commenting on every video and block me but I am just so impressed with your work. I am going to say it again, please be careful, I do worry about you boys. You should at least be wearing a mask in a place like that. I will say a prayer that you stay safe as I say my prayers before sleep.
I think someone actually stole the ivory off the keys of the piano. Instead of it being decay. I didn't see any ivory there at all.
What was once a beautiful home,is now in advanced stages of disrepair and decay. It looks like it has been abandonded for quite some time,but still holds a few treasures! Enjoy your time in Italy🇮🇹

My parents collected antiques and I remember how much they loved them. I feel so bad for this gentleman to lose his antiques and his home. The explore was really cool. There was so much to see. So glad nobody was standing underneath where the ceiling fell through. Love how as usual you respect everything. Please wear masks and gloves. Thank you for sharing.😊🇺🇸

Tragic all the books on the floor. Maybe this was a multi family dwelling, similar to apartments or condos.
The kitchen in the second unit is really great. Too bad the floors were questionable.

Hello, the reason for the stove heaters is because the actual fireplace would've been way too hard to heat the house. So stove heaters were used for supplemental heat!!
I can imagine how devastated the gentleman was to have to abandon his treasures. So very sad.
Yes, i was thinking the same. It's really sad and the man must've just gave up on his property.

Great video guys. I love the decaying houses, the beauty and sadness of a time gone bye. The photos were gorgeous , the bed in the last room is stunning. Imagine sandblasting it and repainting it 😍
The black things on the table was either leather or thin wood veneer that crack off the table when the glue got wet .

If you want to find the name of a piano maker, lift the lid of the keyboard and you will find it under the music stand which is attached to the lid.
You captured the essence of the home's beauty and the natural decay so elegantly. The black stuff on the first round table looked like the veneer (thin quality wood glued down) had popped up and crumbled into pieces. Love your explores!😎🇱🇷
I thought the same thing about the veneer. I don't think I've ever seen veneer decay quite that way to the extent it covers up what was on the table!

cultures and the history in these places is really true. Even though the rooms show massive traces of heavy decay, there are still
such a lot of beautiful details to see like for instance these lustre chandeliers and the decorative ceilings. And - yes it is really sad
to see how even so interesting and historically beautiful mansions fall into complete disrepair, when they are abandoned and nobody
is taking care anymore. -- Of course it did hurt me - not more so surprising for you - to see how heavily decayed the pianos already

What a spectacular place! I wish I could save all these places. @20:43, you question about the stoves: a fireplace is high maintenance, having to add wood and stoke the coals, a gas jet heater is zero maintenance. The fireplace was probably only used for when they wanted a sentimental or romantic atmosphere, and the gas jet heater was the regular source of heat used. Maureno, may I buy that tropical shirt that you are wearing? I do not ever want to see you wearing that again, LOL
You young men do such a great job showing us these lovely old homes filled with memories of days gone by! Great on everything, but especially the respect and caring you demonstrate❤
Amazing how a building can fall into such a poor state of repair when someone doesn't live in it, in such a short time. If he moved out in 2008, that is not so long ago. It seems almost as if when a house is deprived of the life force of someone living in it, it begins to decay.
I agree it is both sad to see the mess others have made of the belongings and the decay and at the same time the beautiful furniture and protraits of those who lived there.
This must have been a beautiful place once upon a time! I think the cabinet And one of the upstairs rooms that you thought was either a China cabinet or a place to keep reptiles, looked like it was a display case. Possible if he had a show room in addition to participating in auctions. It’s a shame he didn’t try to sell some of the stuff when the economy had an uptick but antiques are unpredictable. Consumers are fickle creatures. What might be valued at $1000 today, you’d be lucky to get 100 for it next week.

Thank you for this adventure ...I loved the sights , but , I've never been friends with a mosquito ...they would have attacked unmercifully and I would have abandoned the effort ...I hate seeing so many beautiful things abandoned ..don't understand why this is allowed to happen .......there should be a law against this .....you can tell by the furnishings that this was a person or people of financial means .that they would do thís instead of donating to those less fortunate is sickening .

So sad to See such decay, the chandeliers were all so beautiful. The wedding picture at the end is actually for the boys first communion with the Catholic Church he would have been 7 years at that time.

Funny you should mention culture at the end of this video. I was just thinking about how much I've learned about European culture since I started watching you two. I still don't know why so many houses have sinks in their bedrooms, or why bedspreads are pulled up over a lump of folded blankets. Very unusual to me. Hi Remon and Maureno, when you say architecture it is pronounced ar-key-tect-chure. A chandelier is pronounced shan-de-leer. Please don't think I am being mean, I am trying to teach you the correct pronunciation of all of our English words. Sword is pronounced sord as the W is silent. I'm thinking the second stove could be some old form of a water heater perhaps ?? I'm not sure though. Such an interesting location, great filming guys, thanks for sharing. x
I think the stove maybe there to heat their water.Even here in uk some houses still have a boiler attached at the back for the fire to make the hot water

As you state he was bankrupted in 2008 probably he was evicted and the bank now owns the property! He would have little time to empty the property 🥺
What a beautiful home this must have been when it was lived in. It's amazing how much decay happens in what seems like a relatively short time in comparison to the age of the building. Thanks for sharing. By the way, Maureno, I share your fear of spiders. Ugh!
