My lovely wife got tired of looking for my wallet and car keys. So she bought me 'tiles' for Christmas. When she pages the tile, they will play a tune to find it. Put one on the keys and one inside of the wallet. Sure nice to be able to find them in record time. LOL

another legendary piece of wisdom from August at 3:15: " ... its such a happy thing to find it (the lost wallet) that its almost like you are glad you lost it!" :-)))
Thank you August, for your consistency and your hard work. Short story: today someone asked me if I went to school to learn "this stuff". I said, "yes! I'm still in school, actually." He said, "where?" I said, "If I tell you, you would laugh." "Where?" "University of TH-cam..." 😂😂😂😂 "...I have five principal teachers." YOU ARE ONE OF THE FIVE AUGUST!
Im with you. After setting up. I put a knot in the end of my rope everytime. Just to be safe that way i know before going up, that its there 💙 my good friend who taught me a lot of what i know about climbing, is the one that warned me about that so i decided to just play it safe💙
I just took down a pine spiral myself and funny enough it was for a childhood friends parents and so i refused money we worked out the payment as him ordering a speed line kit for the removal saved him $800-$1000 and i have a tool ive had my eye on and I have to say the speedline kit on monkey beaver website 10 pack for $275 amazing quality straps and double action rock exotica those run $20 a piece most other sets ive seen come with accesory caribiners at best I already owned the 1.0 suspenders cant wait to order the 2.0 saddle with the upgraded suspenders its awesome having someone that uses gear create gear! My question when are the climber friendly monkey beaver spurs dropping cause id like to place my preorder asap 😂
We appreciate the things you do for us guys. You'd think watching a guy cutting limbs up a tree would get stale. But you always seem to find interesting new challenges to keep us coming back.
Something to be very cognizant of in regards to that rope length. There was a company in northern Cali (I'll refrain from saying where and which) this last year that had someone grab a shorter rope than expected to do double line system off a crane. Repelled off the rope and he's seriously injured for life. So many safety measures to keep track of in this line of work.
That was a tall tree. I never saw a tree get that tall in the wild, here in the Netherlands. Or i did not notice the forest was this tall. Was the corkscrew the reason to get it down on the ground? Was it to much tree in that one cluster, and one had to go? That speedline top was real smooth! Great job overall. And i laughed my but off when you talked (and showed) about being a business owner :P Good luck on drying those machines in in the next few years. Ow allmost forgot, happy for the wallet to be found, that's so much hassle, which now is avoided.
After being violently ripped down the trunk until my steel cord lanyard held me half way down on a Knott or say natural bump on the tree. I cut the line pulling on me and climbed down and jumped a fence into a backyard and waited for the ambulance to arrive. 4 broken ribs a broken sternum a bruised lungs. Kidneys, and a laceration on my liver which thank God healed itself. I was back at work in 2 weeks after that no bullshit. Painful recovery but I healed 100%
I broke 3 ribs split my kidney in half broke my sternum inch and a half in a quad wreck that shit it brutal pain bro , luckily I was 14 and healed good
Besides the smell and scaffolding of pine limbs here in Pa, I can admit not my most notable tree species I’ve worked on . But really really fun to free climb and race when the scaffolds come down to 6 feet off the ground all the way to the tips 🤣🤣💪🏾
I suppose I'm one of the strange individuals that prefer the helmet cam (in most cases). For me it enables the ability to study the different cutting methods you do more closely, it's more of a first person experience I guess. As a fairly young tree man myself, I try to absorb all the knowledge you share! Thanks August!
I remember my grandpa who I was about 12 telling me to quit fiddling with it. I’m 50 August. He’d be about 130 years old now so good on you. Ol’timer lol
At 13:36 "owning your own business....." 😆🤣 Another video loaded with everything from comedy to life lessons. I was happy to. hear you say your wife found her wallet. 🙏👍 Thanks for sharing August and keep yourselves safe! 😃👍❤🌲 Randy
What am I thinking? I had a tree today that had a huge limb over a barn that I rigged from above and the way I rigged it (with three points of contact) with a throw line at the tip pulled in the favorable direction from the ground... anyway, I looked at it before the cut and though if August walked up right now, he'd laugh his buns off. It was successful but didn't look as smooth as you gents rigging. Thanks for the vid!
OBS is a great program. I’ve been using it in conjunction with Davinci Resolve. We use it for all our Lives as well as editing all our video footage. Always enjoy the videos. Glad to see a new one out for sure. You guys are the best. God bless, be safe, climb high.
When you first showed the Speed Line slings, I love how you put a comment about carrying that much weight without the Monkey Beaver Suspenders would be annoying. I used to be a recreational rock climber and if you think the wright of those speed line slings is annoying, you should try climbing with a full rack of slings and all the fall protection stuff that rock climbers carry. Yeah, our sit harnesses are a lot lighter.... the super lightweight harnesses are like climbing with a harness made from dental floss and they REALLY cut into you with that much kit hanging from them 😂
Gosh dang August! You're really upping the anti with those speed limbing cuts. That editing was fast. 🤔 I'll have to top it somehow. Let me just think...🤔🤔🤔
23:52 OBS is such a great live stream platform, you can set up scene to include yourself and what you are showcasing. A large video of yourself, or just the content. Our church does its livestream and recording at same time. It saves hassle of re-edit because it is all done live.

Your wallet probably got shoved underneath the seat on your car or alongside the seat.... Or it's in a different pocket on a different coat.... Or maybe in a certain pouch in one of your bags or one of your monkey Beaver harnesses. Then there's the down behind thing... Your guess is as good as mine there... How about down inside the sleeve of a coat.... Or in a special place to hide it so nobody could steal it.
My wife has come running back inside looking for her wallet while holding it in her hand, not once but several times. Funny things happen to your brain after 50.

Maybe it’s been discussed but why do you seem to prefer drt over srt? Srt tied at the top with a shorter tail would reach the ground
Yep it would. Sometimes I do it that way. On theses, I find it easier taking the slack out as I go back up with the DRT.
