    The key thing your video mentioned that was NOT in the instructions sent with the device was the need to open your the app on your smartphone after initial pairing process started. Once I did that, I was finally able to get the device to sync properly with the hearing aids and control the volume. The other great thing - the instructions mention the remote which is another costly device; however if you use your smartphone you do not need the remote. Thank you for helping me get this setup - could not have done it without this key missing step!

    For TVs that do not have an optical connector, try a coaxial connector. It worked for me. I could never get the RCA connectors to work.

    Thanks for the help. But I have only one optical output on my TV which is connected to the soundbar and that's the only way to connect it to the TV. If I connect the TV Streamer 2 others will not be able to hear the TV through the soundbar.

    • @allisonaudiology
      @allisonaudiology  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      That is correct. I have heard in the past of some sound bars having an optical output, but I'm not sure if that's standard. If it does, the TV Streamer could be connected to the output on the sound bar, allowing any sound that comes through the soundbar to stream. Hopefully this helps!

      @@allisonaudiology I did some research and someone said to get an optical audio splitter (one in two out) and connect one to your TV and the other two the soundbar and Streamer 2. I found a splitter on Amazon for $12.

    How to get the sound output from the TV as well as Hearing Aids. As when I connected, the sound is only coming from Hearing aids.

    • @allisonaudiology
      @allisonaudiology  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi there! When you have the adapter connected, are you using the red/white cables, the optical cable in/out, or are you connecting from the headphone jack? The headphone jack will only allow you to get sound to the hearing aids and does allow for output to come from the tv speakers.
      If you are using the red/white or optical cable and aren't getting sound, I would check your tv settings. These two connections are the preferred method because sound can route to your hearing aids and still provide volume to the speakers, allowing everyone in the room to also hear the tv. If it's connected with these two cables, and you aren't getting sound to the speakers, I would double check your audio settings on the tv.
      I hope this helps! - Dr. Austin

    Are the Resound TV Streamer 2 and Resound Unite TV Streamer the same or different?
    I'm asking because I just got Resound One and I wanted to know if when it says "Unite" will it work?

    • @allisonaudiology
      @allisonaudiology  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi there! Thank you for sending us your question. The two streamers are different. The Unite devices were the original tv streamers when the wireless devices first came out. The most current tv streamer is the Streamer 2, which works with the Ones, Quattros, and Resound 3D devices. I hope this is helpful. If you are needing a new streamer to be compatible with your new Ones, we do offer shipping if you'd like.
      And congratulations on your new Resound Ones! Many of our patients have been very happy with them! th-cam.com/video/Tlrp7ElGdi0/w-d-xo.html

    Does this unit need to be programmed to my hearing aids by my audiologist or can I just set it up myself? I’m looking into buying a pre owned unit ( never removed from box) Audiologist will only offer assistance if I buy directly from them

    • @allisonaudiology
      @allisonaudiology  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Susan, you can definitely program/connect it yourself. Before you purchase though, make sure your devices are compatible with the tv streamer. To connect it, there is a button on the back of the adapter. You'll hold it, watch for the blinking light on the box, and then turn your aids off and on. You'll hear a musical chime from your aids to let you know the sync occurred. Then when you are ready to use the adapter, press and hold the button on your aids (for about 3-5 sec) or look of the tv symbol on your phone app. You'll hear that same tone and then audio should come to the aids from the tv. Press the button or use your phone app to disengage the tv adapter. Enjoy hearing tv better through your devices!

    I have paired my smartphone to the TV and I do have a programme on my app for TV but once I am connected to the TV and after a minute or two the programme automatically goes to the All-Around mode , Have I missed a step in pairing?

    • @allisonaudiology
      @allisonaudiology  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The smartphone should be paired to the hearing aids, and then the hearing aids should recognize the tv streamer. Once you're ready to use the streamer, go to your app and select the tv. If the tv streamer isn't staying activated, something is wrong with the connection or audio input isn't going into the tv streamer correctly. For further assistance, you may also contact the Resound Consumer Group at (888) 735-4327.

    Will I be able to have conversations and watch tv at the same time? Or does just Tv audio come in like when a phone call goes through hearing aids?

    • @allisonaudiology
      @allisonaudiology  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Good evening Tyler,
      The audio will come like a phone call. However, you are able to adjust the incoming volume to give the tv more priority, or less during commercials, so that you can still have a conversation during that time.

    Does the television need to be bluetooth enabled, or with my old model will I need a separate bluetooth device? Our TV does not appear to have an optical out but instead has digital out, so would I need to use RCA cables?

    • @allisonaudiology

      You will need the Resound TV Streamer to connect to the tv. With out the optical out, there is an adapter so that the traditional red/white cables can be used.

    You say to turn off and on the rechargeables by putting them in and out of the charger. Does the charger have to be close to the TV streamer?

    • @allisonaudiology
      @allisonaudiology  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi, it does not have to be close. The aids need to be reasonably close to the tv streamer when turning them back on though.

    Can the resound 1 hearing aids be paired with a macbook air?

    • @allisonaudiology
      @allisonaudiology  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi! The Resound One hearing aids cannot be paired directly to a MacBook or other general Bluetooth device. BUT, there is a simple workaround. The T.V. Streamer featured in this video would be a great option. It would plug into the headphone port of your MacBook and then your Resound One devices would pair directly to the T.V. Streamer. So this T.V. streamer would allow you to wirelessly hear audio from your computer in your hearing devices. You could also use the Multi Mic/Companion Mic in the same manner; as an intermediary connection. It would allow a wireless connection in the same manner as well.
      Be sure to subscribe to our channel as well for more helpful videos on Resound devices. We'll be posting new videos soon!

    I just hope I can hear the tv at whatever level everyone else is listening to it at.. :)

    • @allisonaudiology
      @allisonaudiology  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      That is the goal, for sure! Many of our patients though like the customization and listening experience the tv streamer provides. In our office, we often start with the hearing aids alone, and then demonstrate the tv streamer separately. This way you can tell based on experience which you prefer.

    I had been using Linx2 instruments for 7 years until one got destroyed about 2 months ago. I already had an an appointment to get fitted for new ones, but that wasn't until Dec 22nd (it got moved to Nov 18th.) I bought some unused Enya instruments (they only have one button )off eBay to use until my new ones come in. Nobody will program them, but they work and are better than nothing. I also bought the streamer on eBay and I can't get it to work with these Enya instruments or the remaining Linx2 aid I still have. I can't get them to pair with my Google Pixel 4 Xl with the Smart 3D app. I can make the older GN ReSound control app change the volume on them when I have the phone clip paired, but phone calls won't work through it. My plan is to mail off the Enya aids for programming when my new ones arrive at my audio's office in Galveston. So that I have backups. I go to the Katy area fairly frequently from the Beaumont direction. Where is your office?
