Stewart, I was very unsure about the black, but...I suppose it's ok. LOVED the color best before. I'm sure this video will be emensely helpful for anyone that's been on the fence. These are all great facts about this product and all the blades. I was guessing way wrong with weights! Yes, please give us a video from Greece. Thanks again for your time with us! Stay safe, Vickie
Hello Stewart. I also have this Proxxon device, it is very useful. Almost the same device is available from the Merlin company, called King Arthur Tool, and is promoted by Nick Agar. The difference to the Proxxon is that the King Arthur Tool has many more sanding accessories. Grating discs and much more, all recommended by Nick Agar. And it all fits on the Proxxon too!!! Unfortunately, the things are incredibly expensive, but if you want something special... Greetings from the north of Germany.
First, let me reassure you that the technical difficulties with the sound were all on my end, so that's one less thing for you to concern yourself with. 😁 Though watching you wave those cutters around as a mime was mildly entertaining. One of these days I should try power carving. At the moment I don't have any projects that would be carving worthy, so that will have to wait. I really liked the effects that purple paint was creating, I hope that will show up again. Enjoy Greece! Your travel schedule is contrary to the ideal of kicking back with a glass of wine everyday as your retirement plan.
You could plug it into a dimmer switch to slow it down. Most of them are rated for 250watts. A 13A plug, a dimmer switch in a switch box, a socket in a box and a length of 3core flex is all you need.
Brilliant video Stewart, so informative.
Keeping this for reference.
Take care Stewart
Cheers, Huw
Glad it was helpful, Huw!
Great video Stewart, I love my Manpa belt cutter attachment for an angle grinder, plus my 1/8" shank Manpa cutters.
Thanks, Jeff! They are super cutters indeed!
Yep, got the Merlin! Love it!
Got my hands on one very briefly in Spain...felt nice!

Thanks for the tip, Kevin - will look into it!
Hi Stewart. I bought a new corded Proxxon a few months ago here in the states. It has variable speed control, so I’m wondering why yours doesn't.
No idea....but I would love the option!
Hey Stewart,
Can I use my chain saw jig to sharpen that cutter?
Haha....give it a go!!
Hi there Stewart :) , the Proxxon with Battery has Speedcontrol . Why they didn’t put it on the one with Cable ….. strange.
I know....debating whether to get a battery one....
Which of your videos featured the Arbortech?
Good question….can only find this one… th-cam.com/video/9t-K7vVZNVQ/w-d-xo.htmlsi=Gl_6axWY0wkTz0Gs
I know, bad joke.
I've heard worse!
sorry, I should have watched your video until the end. You already knew all that, sorry.
No worries!
