I take my 599 to the shops in between, you can still do it today. Pointless seeing these cars unless it’s doing what they were designed to do…. Makes me sad to see that caged animal plodding along.
@@chriscooper3384 unfortunately, just taking a short drive in a valuable car like that, .. costs THOUSANDS of dollars in maintenance (cleaning, paint correction, repairs, etc..) to keep it's $62M value up. Hence these cars mostly sit on display. and most of that time have a cover over them for protection.
@@chriscooper3384one can't do that anymore too expensive to drive on normal roads. Insurance wouldn't even touch it under a low amount of miles a year. It's such a shame.

Money doesn't always bring people happiness, quite the opposite and people with alot of money are generally the most miserable and unhappiest cos what they've got isn't enough for them.

I did a bit of research for fun, this is S/n 3387GT, produced in March 1962. It is the second 250GTO ever produced, it was tested at Monza before being delivered to Chinetti in the States where it raced until 1965. The car was repainted red in 1962, and repainted into it's current (which were the original) colours in 1997, and was brought to the UK when it was offered by Talacrest in 2016, who sold it for $56M.
G12345 plates are usually old school Gibraltar plates, and it’s not unusual for very expensive cars to be registered there for various financial reasons. Not sure about the front G omission though.
With the headlong lemming-like rush to buy soulless electric vehicles pretty soon all of these magnificent machines will be collecting dust in museums.
It's worth 62 million because they said it's worth that in reality it's probably worth 10 grand how they fix the classic car market so that poor people pay 10 times what is actually worth classic car fix

I had to fit shortened tailpipes to mine as I kept clogging them up when reversing into the mudbank at our local garden centre.
Imagine putting 3 bags of compost on the passenger seat and a few ferns strapped to the roof.
