I had some left over footage from Heat and decided it would be a waste not to share it.
Here are a few extra races from my hands on experience with NFS Heat, enjoy! :)

for traffic they should make it so that it's kind rare but like say a group of 5 traffic cars go through intersection. Add some more variety ffs

@@1000hpHONDA I've seen cars backfiring like that in real life. But say I'm wrong. What's the freaking problem? It looks cool and interesting, why would this even be a point of complaint?
@@SoulCast7 yes, cars can be tuned to backfire like that. But like I said, it's SO overused in the game because every car does it, even non turbo cars, even bone stock and that's just stupid. It would be an awesome sense of accomplishment and progression if it did it more as you upgrade your car, but it does it simply all the time so it's nothing special. But the kiddies like it so it's ok.
@@hpHONDA Well being bitter, cynical and ungrateful about this doesn't make you more mature either. It's just done so well that it's nice to hear and to look at. It's not something I'd get bored of in 5 minutes like Payback's car backfiring or 2015's.
That sense of acomplishment will last 10 seconds. But the satisfaction of hearing your car backfiring like it does in Heat will last longer. Sure accomplishing that would be nice too. I just don't think it's a big deal. You'd get used to cars backfiring anyway.
@@SoulCast7 Yes I agree it's not a big deal it would just make sense to change it so stock cars don't have the same exhaust effect as fully tuned cars for one thing.

Only difference here in NFS Underground 2 Evo was VIII and Subaru Impreza was Blobeye not Hawkeye.

I think three tests should've been conducted: Full drift build, full grip build and an in between build using the same car (for the most accurate results). The car should be a RWD and not FWD nor AWD. Tuning sliders should be default with no driving assists. That way we would be able to see which build is actually practical for racing because from other game plays I have seen, a in between build may have a slight advantage over full grip. Drivetrain, weight and overall power of each car factors into how well it handles and transitions between corners. However, full grip builds still seem to be a bit stiff and drift builds seem off completely.
It looks pretty difficult to initiate a drift on the drift build, was that you leaving it late into the corner or the handling?
There are multiple reasons to why it was "hard to initiate the drift" main one being hes using a AWD car to do it, which is a bit too grippy, other main reason why is hes not experienced with the handling enough, it takes a lot more time to learn and master your skills with the new handling model. Most of the time he didn't really initiate, you can hear the rev of the car when he initiates, the drift build is made to be able to slide and lose enough grip so the back end could kick out on it's own if you have enough power and angle but it's mostly to get you started, other thing is the race he was doing wasn't build for drifting in the first place, so it was out of it's zone advantage.
@@raionshishi8290 Also there is a "clutch kicking" / double tap a accelerator mechanical function in now. It has replaced the brake to drift function. So that may have impacted the initiations of his drift, seeing as double tapping a button while braking coule be a bit difficult at times.
It'll become easier as everyone gets their hands on this game. I'm finally excited for a NFS game in a long time

Doing grip vs drift on 4wd cars is bad idea, both are grippy but the other just slides easier

I don't see myself doing a drift build in this game unless I'm actually doing drift events.......I'm yet to see a proper example of that since all I've seen in the videos posted are powerslides. I haven't seen any chain drifting etc, and if im doing a drift build, I want to have the capability of doing that, sliding close to the apex.....Hope the final product doesn't disappoint

I'm still super hyped for the game, but the fact that there's still not a single good drift video just a few weeks before release, is irritating.. To say the least
There are plenty showing proper sharp cornering drifts, countersteering drifts and everything.
@@rustinpeace770 I saw guys using drift to sharp corner and stuff.. I want to see some long-chained drifts. If you have a videolink to that it would be much appreciated

@@tales200cv6 just watched it. Well, to me that looks like powerdrifting, not proper drifting. I start to get the impression that they sacrificed the driftboost mechanic from the first two installments to deliver a good grip handling. I think the problem for that lies within the Frostbite engine itself..
So, yeah.. Fingers crossed for good drifting in Heat.
There is still no proper drifting mechanic in NFS. Tbh, NFS has never had a proper drifting mechanic in any of the titles. Maybe the Underground series; but even that was a bit weird.

4:10 and 5:11 oddly satisfying to look at the car go in and out so smoothly and stable. Man i really love the grip builds in this game.

@@Bes1997_ Cars just look so stable and smooth, very planted yet still playful and free. I swear if anyone complains about it they are doing something wrong with their tune because so far the grip looks fun.
Raion Shishi agree 200%. I don’t get why most youtubers use full grip tunes and drive them like drift builds, not slowing down for corners, staying at 100% throttle even during cornering and using handbrake. Grip is so good, why do they have to ruin it like that?

Finally Brake to Drift fucks off! Awesome! What I want from Heat is a big swarm of cops chasing all the racers like in this race! Look at that *radar!* Haha! Hope this happens more frequently on heat 4 and 5

i think you drive the drift build as a grip build , so you are slow with the drift build

I'll say it again, the ground effects u pick for your car effect handling too.. big azz wings n canards, diffusers,etc. Putting all the cool looking parts is not what real drifters do... Just saying...

@@kdawwgnet7327 But the game is not real life - it is just a game and why developers do not take this into account. Why should we play then? You can just go to work or study by car. I play in order to enjoy the game or from driving a fictional car - and not from realism, the developers probably forgot about this a long time ago. Who needs realism ???

No. I'm not sure the idea of this comparison has translated well for you so I'll explain: One of the biggest issues that NFS has had & that I'm sure you're aware of is the handling model being based around drifting. This is still the case for the most part, but this time around they've implemented a grip option,
it's also important to understand that this particular Subaru isn't fully upgraded (as I didn't have access to all content) but having had experience with the new handling previously this year, it's safe to say that drifting is definitely not as easy as before, I won't tell you it's good or bad, I'll leave you to judge that...if you decide to get the game yourself. Hope that cleared everything up :)
The map should has some live in it like side cars on the road, cop chasing, more traffics and so on...

5:07 you’re not getting any benefit from NOS when you use it before jumps

If you have a good amount of road travel before the jumps you do get a benefit of speed, it's if you use it just before and or during a jump that's bad and worthless.

Great video but why you didnt put in full drift set the subaru? I would like to know if finally we will have to use counter steer or if it still has auto counter steer, at least in a full drift set. Thanks.
You can't make AWD cars full drift..it will still try to stay grippy
