Building the Toolitry Kit

- In this video we build the toolitry kit. It has that funny name because it can easily be used as a toiletry/makeup bag- OR with our acrylic tool insert, it can be an awesome travel kit for you leather stamps.

I just bought one of Tandy's Toiletry Bag kits today, at Tandy. Now it makes sense that I couldn't find it on their website when I searched for it. It was probably the only one they had left. 😊 Your updated version is awesome. 🙂 I look forward to making this. 23:15
just got my kit this morning.. have put the tool stand part together, but need to finish up another project before i start on this..
did just notice one small thing tho, after making sure to say that the tooled edge (scroll-y bit) of the top panel should be facing the front, what does he do? puts it on upside down (1:00:47).. LOL I did kind of catch when he was sewing it down, about halfway thru, he kind of paused for no obvious reason... betting that is where he realized the mistake.

New sub, greatly appreciate the process explanation throughout. Always helps to know the why behind the actions. Is that the same clear plastic ruler that you have for sale on your website? I believe it is the 18" but just wanted to check. The ones on your website look like they are black. Is that jus the material on the back or are they now being sold as black and not clear? We have a 24" clear one on our website.

We make these from a much thicker acrylic... and haven't ordered any in our blue color.

nice quality work - can you help me with a pattern for English chaps Im on Long Island and making them for hunter jumper so they need to fit close
I don't know much about Chaps. Look for Julie Baugher, she's my go to for chaps. A quick google should put you on the path to her.

Top of the evening Aaron. Was there supposed to be a zipper in the kit? The kit received didn't have a zipper I did receive the zipper pulls and stops. Thank you
Yes. After shipping 120 of them the 1st day we realized we had forgotten them. We tried to find everyone we shipped to and ship the zipper a day or 2 later.
I want to add a welt or piping around the top and bottom panels where they meet the body. Do you think i have to adjust the size of the top and bottom pieces?
No, one of the ones in the picture has piping and it worked out fine.
Hi Aaron, I bought the toolitry kit and downloaded the tooling pattern BUT I don’t know the measurements of the two tooled pieces. Could you help me with that? Thanks. Cassandra
It's drawn on the tooling patterns
The measurements were not on the tooling pattern that I received.
@cassandrakimball6262 the lone drawn around the tooling pattern is the piece of leather that it goes on.
Does the kit come with a teeth removal tool?
No, that's a separate tool

Will this project be available again soon?
It is available as a template on our website and the insert is available there as well. We may make it into a kit in the future but that won't be for at least a few weeks.
