I think this video is too simplistic. Football has always been related to politic and heritage. In fact the World Cup is based on that.
Rather than to call everything racist I think it makes sense to see beyond that. Frenchmen don’t mind that these non white french represent them but they do question the players allegiance.
If you have never been to France suburbs then you shouldn’t comment. I’m a Mexican american and I have visited many part of the world. History is more than this western colonialism vs descendants of people who were colonizers. There’s a lot of grey areas in here.
Many people that live in suburbs aren’t proud to feel French. Many French don’t mind immigration but opposed that foreigners Don’t assimilate. This is something that has existed since the beginning of time and will continue to do so.
Is also worth of criticism given the fact that football scouts actually go to these neighborhoods to recruit black and Arab football players. There’s a quote in France in how many players in these suburbs they should get.
Is a lie that England, Belgium, France and Netherlands focus on talent. They actually have a system where they purposefully look for these type of players. This is why the public is frustrated. They feel that the federation focuses on getting these players many who show few proud for the French culture.

I hate the way France had qualified for the 2010 World Cup. Ireland deserved the place in the World Cup finals instead of France.

Ireland were about to qualify. But then in the final minutes of match , Thierry Henry used his hand in the Ireland penalty box to prevent the ball from going out and made the short pass which led to the deciding goal which made France to qualify. It was a blatant handball.
