Hey, hey, hey, it's not a rule to have a date at fancy restaurants... Like, sure portions are smaller(usually) than on the other places, but still you go and enjoy that taste. 😁
In taking psychology of human relations, my professors always said “when was the last time you got all dressed up to treat yourself out to a nice dinner?” Most people say never since they don’t eat alone. That stayed with me all these years. They encourage us to find comfort in eating, dining, going on movie dates or trips alone. And so I think you’re amazing for doing this and supporting your friend. You are right that it’s all part of the growth process. And I hope it won’t be your last time in a restaurant and treating yourself to a nice meal or feeling dressed up for you.
I studied psychology briefly and yea, spending time in your own company and feeling good about it is actually very healthy. I cook for living so trips to good restaurants on my own are not that foreign to me. Your professor used a really good example :)
I used to go to the movies alone and really enjoyed it. Sometimes I would go when there was less crowd and I would see other "lonely" cats at the cinema. I actually really enjoyed the experience.
Hell I prefer movies alone than with any companions, even my best friends who basically have the same movie taste. I would eat nothing and just throw my phone in my bag and just be there in the dark to watch. I don't have to be embarrassed if I cry or laugh. God I love it!! It's really just enjoying the movies and enjoy your own emotions.
I love traveling alone, eating a nice restaurants alone, watching a movie alone and even staycation alone. It feels more relaxed and there are no pressures from others or don't need to consider other people's feelings.haha
I dined alone at a fancy restaurant last week while I was on a work trip. I felt so self conscious at the beginning but realised that no one around actually cared and definitely helped with my self growth journey ☺️
Good for you! I hope you continue to experience your own company and learn to enjoy it. People often look over and stare because they are confused and feel like they need to help. This can be triggering for your self consciousness, but as soon as they see that you are doing well, they happily get back to their own meals. ✌🏼

Definitely, I agree with your take on Halal guys and this is coming from a New Yorker born and raised. The quality has dropped significantly ever since it became an FC. If you ever come to New York City again try the Halal cart on 6th on 18thst. I think they have one of the best in the city.
Agreed. Quality has reduced,. Never been to the location you referenced, but my corner halal food court in East Flatbush has the best platter combo. Never a disappointment.
There's a Filipino dish called pinakbet which has eggplant. Instead of pork, I use the entire shrimp for the main flavoring of sauce. Give it a try one day. You were dressed perfectly for your dinner😊 I like your style.
Whenever I go on vacay I buy a gallon of water at a time to have in my hotel room. I fill my water bottle everyday and just having it there makes me drink it :)

Michelin should be exciting. here we go.
i once used vicks inhaler too often that it felt uneasy and like my breathing isn’t as clear if i didn’t get a “hit” every 15 mins or so p.s. not sure if you’ve already considered, but if not, maybe add some filler (still image) at the end to account for the thumbnails linking to your other content so they’re not partially blocking the last parts of the current video?
I like traveling solo because I can enjoy, observe and learn and feel completely fulfilled. There's no unadulterated opinions to distract me from the new city/food/culture, etc. that lies in front of me. You probably noticed the nuances of each dish more so had you been dining with someone. I know it's been 2 years, but I wanted to say that this video was superbly done. The review of the restaurant and the part where you call your friend "a piece of shit, but my piece of shit" were absolutely phenomenal. You have such an incredible personality and present so well on camera that its no wonder that your audience has grown so substantially. Bravo.
I actually go out to eat alone all the time, i also go to the movies alone, and just recently, went to a concert by myself, been doing it since high school when friends didnt want to do the things i want to do, id just go alone and experience it to myself. 26 years later, i still doing it and its just so natural. 🙃 #singlesclub
Why are your videos soo wholesome, I fall in love with you for every video you upload man
I've been really enjoying these vacation vlogs. Fun to tag along.
Loved your video ! It's refreshing to see someone who's so confident and comfortable just being herself. Love that! ❤️❤️
You deffo give us confidence to eat alone at fancy restaurants and have a wonderful time 🥰 inspiration Queen 👑
proud of you for not letting anything stop you from living your life fully, all the best for the future.
She has such an attractive personality
Tina reminded of those beautiful spy girls you’d see dining alone in Bond movies, she even dressed like one too 😁
So cute: Mommy cleans up nice eyy!! 😂. You killed that dress!
Well I can confirm ya do clean up nice! And dining alone or going to the movies alone or whatever is never weird to me. I love it. Don't have to use mental energy on anyone else just yourself.
me and my 11 y/o love love love watching your vlogs. i wanted to share with you the part you were like “fml why am i so self conscious” immediately my daughter said “what are you talking about you look so beautiful!” you really looked so good. So happy we got to join you for a faaancy dinner! 🥰
You all good, girl. Before you can love someone else, you gotta learn how to be in love with yo-self. You got this.
Oh my god Dooby. This emerald dress is a jaw-dropper. Whew girl!
This is a fire ass vlog so genuine and true to yourself and so cool to see
Lil mama cleans up very nice ! The food looked incredible 😋
There's a Filipino dish called pinakbet which has eggplant. Instead of pork, I use the entire shrimp for the main flavoring of sauce. Give it a try one day. You were dressed perfectly for your dinner😊 I like your style.
I love this vlog! Well done for being brave.
Sometimes Dooby's a Kid inside just like us, and it's fun to watch it.
ikr...i like how she has kept her kid side while most adults are just boring and stiff with no time for nonsense
I love your videos, and yes, doing things alone its scary the first time, but I've enjoyed so many things by myself that I don't regret it at all.
11/10 will be so happy if you continue vlogging after NYC ::-'')))))
the quick cut of your shirt with ketchup on it @2:38 made me lol
Whenever I go on vacay I buy a gallon of water at a time to have in my hotel room. I fill my water bottle everyday and just having it there makes me drink it :)
your page is SO relaxing, I am sitting and playing guitar to it while you chill with your Halal guys and rock your realistic jokes and musings. halal guys is tough and probably at this point better independent stands out there, look for long lines as Bourdain would say as you know. Michelin should be exciting. here we go.
You are so loveable and very astute in your food knowledge. You’re going to be a huge star in the food world. ❤️
I like the inception of filming yourself editing the Vlog to have to then edit in the filming yourself editing the Vlog.
Hanon in Brooklyn received a Michelin star this year and isn’t expensive. I can’t stop thinking about their duck udon
I love your attitude! “Don’t have a date” but going to support.. I totally relate! Yes queen
i once used vicks inhaler too often that it felt uneasy and like my breathing isn’t as clear if i didn’t get a “hit” every 15 mins or so
p.s. not sure if you’ve already considered, but if not, maybe add some filler (still image) at the end to account for the thumbnails linking to your other content so they’re not partially blocking the last parts of the current video?
I just found ur video, im not even 1 minute in and I already feel comfort & cant wait to watch more of your vids
Tina “when would I wear this”
Tina 5:00 to go on a date with yourself 💁🏽♀️I’m glad you got it heheheh. You look beautiful girly ssllaayyy
mommy does clean up nice 😍😍 food definitely looked/sounded good
white sauce is yogurt based
I like traveling solo because I can enjoy, observe and learn and feel completely fulfilled. There's no unadulterated opinions to distract me from the new city/food/culture, etc. that lies in front of me. You probably noticed the nuances of each dish more so had you been dining with someone. Learning to be with yourself is the best. Congratulations!
these vlogs are EVERYTHING!! i look forward to them everyday!!
Awesome dark green dress. I rarely see that color, most of the time we see black, red, or blue color dresses. You rock that dress Doobydobap, it's always fun watching you cook. Maybe someday you'll open up your own Michelin star restaurant. Your restaurant can have a fancy French name like the Béatrice or something
These cultured camera angles XDD
1:50 a lot of charm and cuteness right there! Stole my heart T.T
Loved this!! Haven't tried Halal guys but HalAL>Chipotle is definitely a hot take. Could you please review some new York cheesecake?
I dined at a fancy hotel alone cuz my friend cancelled last minute and I don’t want to just order room service. It was actually really nice with great food+service+night view and no one cared that I was alone. One downside is I don’t have people to share appetizers with :(
I aspire to have your independence. Stay hydrated you wonderful human. ♥️
i love dining alone I take myself to really fancy places quite often. Some ppl think i'm weird for it but when dining alone it becomes all about the food
She really giving me mature, feminine vibes who is secretly for mission.🧡
your timing of the use "piece of shit"
is lovely.
It’s great to see you eat at Atomix alone since I really want to go but don’t have anyone to go with LOL
I do this all the time! I am single since two years so I take myself out on a date and eat in peace! I love spending time with myself!
Did I miss 8 or 9. I swear I watched every single one?
hahahha i skipped over day 8/9-- I'll be posting it tomorrow :)
@@Doobydobap dope 💯🔥
5:10 i fkn love your personality, so quirky and bubbly 😍😍😍
You look so cute. Thanks for the vlogs ❤️
You once you get comfortable you really really enjoy it and having to wait for ppl to go out n do things is exhausting a lot passes you by
5:02, what a hall of fame move 😲😍
Halal guys is more about the hype, the smaller carts around the other areas are usually better.
"mommy cleans up nice eh " omg I cracked 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I thought she was gonna be talking about Muslims from the title hahahah cus I'm from the UK
