Unnie I used to translate 나는 한국 말하면 좋겠어 to "If I speak Korean it will be good" instead of "I wish I speak Korean" hahaha.Thank you to teach me how to transslate it correctly

Thank you! I've been trying to find out how to say "would like" in Korean and had people tell me it's 고싶다, which translates to I want. "Would like" is very, very polite in English, and thus does NOT translate to anywhere NEAR the word "want" in essence of politeness. In fact, "I want" when expressing a wish to receive something would be very impolite in many ways in English. I knew there had to be a better expression than that!
