Lima is not only San Isidro, Barranco and Miraflores, it is the mistake that the vast majority of tourists make, they are Americanized areas and you will almost never find traditional Peruvian cuisine, luxury restaurants will only serve fusion dishes or creations, something that the vast majority of Peruvians are unaware. The real Lima is outside of these mentioned districts. Lima has more than 40 districts.
No tengo más que palabras de agradecimiento para ustedes,vi también su video de huacachina y verlos tan felices me lleno de felicidad, abrazos y gracias por disfrutar de mi País hermoso
Loving Peru's gastronomy and making people envy your experience, just looking at you eating like a castaway in the desert trying new food and true confessions.
That platano de la Isla (banana from the island) just brought back memories of my grandma, it was her favorite banana. She would always have that for us when we would visit her from the US. She's passed on over 15 years ago, but it brought back alot of nostalgic memories.
Double internal happiness I’m so jealous haha we loved the street art in lima so awesome 👏. We need a one stop shop market in the U.K. aswell 😂. Great video guys 👍😊
My favorite Peruvian meal is Seco de res, lomo saltado, etc etc You guys should go to the “alameda de chabuca grande” in the historic city center, and have some picarones 🤤🤤🤤! I’m enjoying your videos! 👍

I'm glad You liked the food. Tiradito and Pulpo al olivo are nissei dishes, created by peruvians of japanese descent. Ancestral peruvian dishes You'll try Olluquito con charqui, Carapulcra, Chairo and Pastel de choclo filled with meat. From north of Peru Tamal verde with chorrillana sauce, Ceviche de conchas negras, Seco de cordero combinado con frejoles. Food from the amazonian rainforest Patarashca which is an amazonian fish seasoned with spices and vegetables wrapped with a leave and grilled, other amazonian dishes are Juane de gallina, Inchicapi de gallina ( peanut soup with a piece of hen or chicken), Tacacho con cecina y chorizo with cocona spicy sauce, ensalada de chonta, aguaje ice cream and camu camu drink. Other desserts I'll recommend are mazamorra de calabaza, mazamorra de cochino, mazamorra de oca, crema volteada, Champus de guanabana. Sweets like chocotejas, mana, camotillo, bolita de nuez, king kong filled with manjar blanco and pineapple jelly, Mim pao filled con frejol colado, Higo relleno con dulce de leche, Chifles (salty banana chips) We had chinese migration the second after USA in Americas continent and You'll find lots of Restaurants called Chifa one of those Chifa Chung yong I tried before is located in Barranco district, Dishes I like are Wantan special soup, Fu chifu soup,, glazed pork Mim Pao, sweet & sour dish Kam lu wantan, Chancho(pork) con piña, Pollo Chi jau kay y arroz chaufa especial. chifas have also menu which is the special dishes of the day diverse list of dishes You can choose for Entree a wantan soup or a couple wantans with tamarind sauce and a second plate Those menus are usually cheap about 3 to 5 dollars. Japanese people also migrated to Peru and nowaday you'll find lots of Sushi bars and Ramen restaurants, usually they prepare fusion nikkei food like maki acevichado. At Jesus Maria district is located el centro cultural Japones right there You'll find an all You can eat named Katana, other all you can eat in Miraflores is Wasabi and a Ramen house is named Naruto.
Wow thanks for all the info! We learned a lot of that while on our tour too. There is so much good food to try… we had many other delicious dishes not shown on this day :)
Hi guys 👋 New to your channel! How long will you be in Lima for? Great video! Favorite dish? Ceviche hands down but if you can, try a sushi restaurant -- I tried Osaka a few years ago and because of local ingredients the experience was amazing! So many dishes from classics to fusion. Enjoy your trip!!

Chocolate ! Recentrly It is been discovered that The Mayo-Chinchipe-Marañon Culture in the Peru - Ecuador border is where the origin or the First Chocolate was made . Both Cacao and Chocolate were born in the North Amazon Jungle

You guys are awesome. I just came across one of your videos in my feed, which is wierd because all I've been watching is news and politics 🤨 weird huh? LOL . Anyways, now I'm Hooked! My family is Peruvian and I went there when I was 16... like 100 years ago. YES The food there is AMAZING! as far as the fruit, I'm surprised you didn't try the cherimoya. I also remember every early morning a man with a cart and a bell would walk up and down the streets selling bread rolls. These rolls are Unreal! Very crispy on the outside but so soft on the inside... like a cloud. I mean, How is this Humanly Possible?? Never had anything like it in the States. Wish you could have tried it. If you ever go back you gotta try Caja Marca also. They have a wonderful healing hot spring, you'll feel like a million bucks after bathing there, you can rent a private bathing room for Cheap cheap. We went walking near there and found a lot of archaeological places where you can see some of the Incas handy work cut in stone, also Ventanas del Cusco (if I'm spelling it right) . It didn't seem like a touristy area though, a family member took us roaming around. It was the most memorable of my whole entire life in that 1 month!
