I really love this video, well done!
I think what a lot of people forget is that Mi isn’t presenting herself as a makeup or beauty professional. She openly admits she is only learning. Her series was started to document her learning about all different things. Something that almost all women have to face growing up. We are presented with so many people who have makeup artists and professional stylists, our view becomes skewed. Also, she almost always consults a professional in the field. She isn’t full of herself saying she is amazing at the things she tries.
Her fashion video was a disaster but it was interesting to watch and I identified with the humanity of it.

Who are the jerks that dislike this?? Even if “makeup” isn’t your jam can’t people just appreciate a well done, well researched, well executed production on an original subject matter? With the online beauty community being so focused on $$ and perpetuating these unattainable standards though repetitive content focused on selling or consuming high end/ luxury items. I would think these videos would be a much needed reprieve.

They talk about race and the film industry. But asians where considered white until about the 70's -80's. That is why they where on film, black , biracial , quadroon people where not allowed to be on film with a white person during that time. I think you should have mentioned that. I grew up in the south, in an all black school taught by black history teachers. I learned hispancs/asians/ middle easterners and jews after the war where considered white.
