A flabellum is (apparently) a ceremonial fan - I think like the ones you see in films with someone stood behind a king keeping them cool. I guess a barbed one has spikes on the fan, so a two-handed version of a Japanese war fan. Perfect weapon for a Goliath.

subscribed after your new rulebook review. was lucky and got a copy myself. i really like your detailed look on the books and now apocrypha. actually never saw any1 talking about that before. seriously deserved sub for any1 who plays or wants to play Necromunda. would have loved for the new book to be really complete with gangs and apocrypha rules but i knew this wouldnt happen. still sad cause its hard to get new players in cause of the financial efforts.

I still have my cardboard template for the vortex grenade. Fairly sure it's from 2nd Ed. 40k box OR the Dark Millenium supplement.

Another rule presented in Lost Charter is for Squats to have the Resistant to the Wyrd. It is rather situational but does give them a new rule like Nomads got with their Spirits, Grinders got with their Blessed by the Lord of Skin and Sinew and Enforcers got with the Automata Programs. I believe that all of these were to help give these gangs something to match the House gangs special rules such as Chem Alchemy, Gene Smithing, etc.

I switched it to corrupted goliaths and gene smithed them all to proto goliaths pretty much. Just gave me more options

No, they're exclusive to each issue of Apocrypha so worth downloading them for sure
