Loved this game as a teenager. This and Man o'war hold a special place in my heart.

Battlefleet Gothic and Warmaster were two of the best games GW ever made.

Its the best game GW have ever done. Factions were mostly balanced due to having the same weapons with only a bit of variety for most of the factions, only really Necrons and Eldar broke the normal rules for them. Tyranids were just weird mind.

Only ever played a handful of BG games but thoroughly enjoyed them at the time. BG was a very different beast from the other GW products. Real classic from 25 years ago (where did that time go!) Now do Man'o'War :-)

Knocking it out of the park Damon. Can't wait for you to do Epic Space Marine. That game is what got me into 40k. I've still got mine at my parents somewhere.

This and Star Wars Armada are some of the best fleet engagement games that were available, would love to see BFG return

This was a great game. I played imperials and my bro orks. It was also nice not needing terrain beyond the cardboard planets.

New to the game... but couldn't you hire 5 Beastmen Gangers for 100 creds instead of one Ogryn Ganger for 105 creds? Wow.

Why do you feel the need to qualify your ever opinion with "Oh it's not very high-brow" or "yeah the writing isn't very good, but..."? I think once or twice would've been plenty. It becomes offputting when we get to the 5th time.

You can make a full gang of venators with three boxes: Imperial Navy Breachers: Assembling the full Kill Team gives you options for the leader and lots of combat shotguns, Hatch cutter can be played as a Rogue Doctor too. Slave Ogryns: Thanks to the new rules these guys can be included as part of the gang and not brutes, which means a better armored and improved melee monster with the two agumetic gauntlets, and the arcwielder can be converted into a (heavy)flame thrower. Goliat Rockgrinder(truck): Not only is a legal vehicle for Ash Wasteland, it also includes extra bodies that can be fit with the spare heads and weapons from the breachers. Additionally, it has bits to make the flamer kitbash for the Ogryn.

Love your content mate! Just one thing I'm not 100% sure about. The killer baby, isn't that wargear and not a fighter profile? Could be wrong as I don't have the book, but if it's technically wargear, I don't think you can have it as a leader.

I had a question regarding orlocks, I’m new to the game and trying out this list. The arms master comes in at 180 credits however in my book and apps I’m using to build the combat shotgun is listed at 60 credits for the arms master as apposed to the 55 credits for everyone else. Is this a misprint? Or are they 5 credits more expensive? I don’t want to cheat the other players and sneak an extra 5 creds.

Mordheim is a lot of fun. I dunno if it’s quite the holy grail of amazing ruleset people make it out to be. I think maybe more a combo of solid-enough rules with a fantastically compelling tone and an exceptional community.

And where would one find these online communities and resources you speak of? Besides Google, of course!

Mordheim feels a bit like OG Necromunda, without the current bloat for good or ill. I love many of the crazy options Necromunda brings and things like Brutes/House agent equivalents for Mordheim could be amazing.

Mordheim is my fave game GW ever released. I still have my Witch Hunter warband from it!

You forgot to mention the Red Gobbo! Awhile ago, I picked up a used baggie of grots for $20 and imagine my surprise that he was in it! I've been looking for him forever to start my Revolushun! I love the lore of the Diggas as well as their Necron protectors and all.

Really keen to see more Mordheim from Wellywood. The quality of your Necromunda minis is ace, can only imagine your Mordheim efforts to be equally awesome.

Great review thank you! Gotta say I am really not happy that there is no accommodation for a psyker leader, I always used venators for an inquisition acolyte themed warband. I mean I could still do that but without the psyker ability it just doesn't feel right. This is really obviously a cash grab move for the abhuman warbands, not that the opportunity of playing them is a bad thing. As an arbitrator (on occasion) anyone wanting to play with an abhuman leader is going to have to come up with an amazing back story...not to mention converting everything properly. Lets see them beastman armoured conversions.

Oh my... Carnival of Chaos were such awesome miniatures! By the way, if you want Mordheim reference images, I recommend solegends. They have pictures of almost all Citadel Miniatures catalogues.
