      Hi Sam. What would you say which is better Nefer or Ma Nishtana? :)

    • @MyWorldofFragrance
      @MyWorldofFragrance 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@tony_1883 Oh my, they are two different experiences, so depends on what you like. Ma Nishtana is the ultimate temple incense, Nefer is more of a smoky affair. 🌹

    I got Savitri and sold it after about 3 wearings just found it didnt have enough for me, compared to MAAI which I would pick every time for over this. and oddly I loved Hayra lol. took me back to Thailand in a heartbeat. normally I am with you guys buy at odds here. love the channel

      Interesting. I’d never thought to compare MAAI and savitri. I suppose they are both animalic chypres. MAAI is certainly bigger and darker, and is sensation. I think savitri has much more brightness to it, and could actually see myself wearing it a little more day to day.

    Love every vid you guys make. Thought Chetyre was the most interesting of the bunch and TOTALLY agreed with Joe on Hayra: aquatic incense thing. Made me wonder if it was his pitch for Squid from zoologist and he tweaked it up for his own line.

    I think quality and quantity can go hand-in-hand; rare, but it happens. I love roses, any type, but I can never find a rose fragrance that isn't too jammy or feminine. Chetyre does sound like something I'd wear- your description hooked me. Ok that Roasted Coffee etc etc is almost a tongue twister😅. On a side note: I hope your lockdown eases soon so you don't have to sit outside in a box ugh. Here in the states, at least in my state, ppl are still not wearing masks and cases continue to rise. Thanks guys for your breakdown of Prin's frags! 🍻

    Very interesting video, as always. I want to echo Jo's sentiment about Coffee note: do you know what is the reason why there are not that many good coffee-based fragrances? All of those that I tried were buried deep in some sweet or spicy notes. Are there some technical limitations why one cannot get extract a realistic coffee note off the beans?

      get scotch peat, if you like boozy soil like feel..

      @WaftsfromTheLoft  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I tend to prefer the Prin and Prissana lines. They tend to be the slightly more complex ones, but also a little more challenging. From Strangers I’d try Scotch Peat and Sangre Dulce, Salted Green mango is a great one for the summer.

    I've got samples of Burning Ben and Scotch Peat. Unfortunately I get an eye stinging ammonia smell. Not sure if it's my skin make up or if if I'm anosmic to certain notes, but it's a real shame as I want to enjoy them.

    Does the roasted coffee one give any of the Kerosene “Follow” coffee notes? Or completely different?

    • @WaftsfromTheLoft
      @WaftsfromTheLoft  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hmm, it’s been a while since I’ve tried Follow. It’s certainly closer to Follow than something like new Haarlem

    They all sound very heavy handed, unwearable and unfinished based on your descriptions.

    Pryn Lomros is not for me. He discontinued San Clemente, my favorite from Strangers. Also, I’ve grown tired of waiting for the original Pryn Parfum to restock. He’s running too many brands simultaneously and disappointing on all fronts. I have no desire to support or promote this brand further.
