It's amazing when you consider: Karlarch is not in the game's cover art, she was barely in early access, and wasn't a companion you could recruit until the full release. Yet, she instantly became the community's favorite! *Shadowheart Disapproves
I just hate that they gave her a man's body(women can only fit their own head across their shoulder 2 1/2 times but men(all men with xy chromosomes no exceptions) can always fit their head 3 times. This is why it's usually really easy to tell a trans man to a woman as their shoulders are far too wide and hips too thin. The hips part can differ and is a general rule of thumb but they literally just put tits on a bros body then slapped a cute girls head on it and it's super uncanny to any man who has dated and interacted with a lot of women intimately it immediately jumps out at you and I literally feel bad for having to shut her down over shadowheart because she's so nice and cool. It's just so weird , I think she must have been originally designed as a trans character but then changed it last minute. I have no issue with that it's the weird half measure that puts me off. Like clearly asterion is fabulous asf and I love it he's my fav of all the origin characters by far but he owns it and everyone is better off for it if you get my drift.

its amazing to see how much of the VA personality transfers/reflects on the Karlach companion. Samantha truly knocked it out of the park with this performance.
I'm glad you brought up the moment after you kill the paladins that were hunting Karlach, when she just goes absolutely apeshit, destroying everything and setting the house on fire. One of the few moments in the game that really caught me by surprise! I kept thinking "okay, she's had her little tantrum, now she's gonna calm down" but she just kept going and going. Such a great character moment.
First time I met Karlach I was about to get in a fight with her. I quicksave beforehand (as you usually do :D ), I start the fight and she says something in the lines of "I could have used a friend" or something. I immediately quickload and get her in my party. Almost 100 hours later, she's the best companion.
Karlach is my favorite character, she's a German shepherd: tough, protective yet sweet, adorable and just very caring. I just love the fact that she's the only party member that is liked by everyone else, Including Minthara. So thank you Samantha for bringing her to life the best way possible

I played the game when it still had the bug that got Dammon killed at the Last Light Inn, so it wasn't possible to save Karlach. What a job Samantha did on the scenes after killing Gortash!!! A completely unexpected smack round the back of the head with a +2 warhammer. Absolutely nailed the anguish and the pain of her impending death.
Karlach, is absolutely Perfectly imperfect. She reminds me of Xena the Warrior Princess. She's got her Zanny persona, ñ naturally beautiful thee way she is. Her Mood, is like so, what, let's kill, laugh, cry, dance, ñ drink Solger. Samantha is amazing, ñ I absolutely adore her Acting ethos. Thank you so much Samantha. She is my favorite NPC. Completely unexpected personality. Shadowheart turned out to be exactly what I thought, but I didn't see Karlach coming. Of course there was little Karlach content, she was not this funny in EA.
Karlach is my Favorite Companion in BG3 she is so sunny and happy to be around :) while playing now I am heading to get a second piece of Infernal Iron to heal her heart.

I find it sad that you’re so wrapped up in whether she looks femme enough to be a love interest. I think everyone loves Karlach for the amazing personality that Samantha imbued into her character. He body is strong, sexy, and in no way reads “manly”. If you’re don’t like a muscular woman’s build, that’s one thing - but that doesn’t make her manly. In the end, it’s your loss. She’s a brilliant character/love interest.
