Good content Kev Mac. When my mom father's people moved to LA was bacc in the late 50's. They came from Dallas, Paris, and parts of southern Oklahoma . My mom used to tell me that most all black from that stayed in LA were from Texas, Louisiana , Oklahoma, Arkansas but mostly the ones they came across were from Texas and Louisiana . Now, we have close to 200 family members in Cali.

Correct me if I got it wrong... I'm no expert on East Side hoods. But I thought the 88 Hard Times was across from the Avalons by Green Meadows park and 87G's hood was on the other side of Main close to Broadway 🤷🏾♂️. Like over behind that Roscoe's on Manchester.... the 84 Main Streets going the across way.
