I have been collecting Chinese and Japanese porcelain for nearly 20 years now and those Imari plates are quite attractive and nice quality compared to a lot of stuff that is out there, nice find. You are probably right about the value too, likely around $200, depending on their size. Unfortunately the Japanese market has been flat for a long time and even worse now with the economic situation, if you even wanted to learn more and invest Chinese is the go, although it is a total mine field with the amount of fakes and copies.
