- How to tell if you're being followed? And what to do when you think someone's following you? How to get away safely? Imagine you’re walking home after a night out with friends. That’s when you hear footsteps behind you. You turn around to see someone walking toward you...
We hope nothing like this ever happens to you, but being prepared for it gives you confidence like nothing else. First of all, if some people are walking by, you can loudly say “Hey!” and pretend they’re your friends. Don’t go to your house or apartment when you’re being followed. If worse comes to worst, don’t stay quiet. But yell “fire” instead of “help.”

Lol...i was going home after my school (it was pretty dark) but someone with a hoodie followed me...i was so freaked out and ran for my life and he was keeping up with me, i thought i was gonna die and suddenly...he caught me. I was so scared and said to let me go and screamed but he turned out to be my friend trying to give me my book...lol

Sometime when i was a kid something like this happend to me i had to run , he was chaseing me with a van so i ran into a street that was quite tight. He got out of his van and strated runing towards me so i ran away. When he was out of my sight i hid in a bush. He ran right past me and off into the distance i was safe. It was the most traumatising experience ever.

LOL this happened to me and brother at night. Someone was following us. Luckily, I knew what to do. We walked faster. He walked faster. We turned the corner. He turned the corner. We took a few more turns until we finally got to a corner where there was a fork and we went on one side, we were also careful to be quiet but fast at the same time. When we did that we lost him, and we took a different route back home. Guys, do me a favor and dont go out for a walk and 9 30 PM T-T

Another thing I recommend is to see if the persons alone, if he’s not alone, make sure you don’t go stop out of nowhere, even if they dash right in front of you try to push them away and run to a near police department, or somewhere that has protection.

@@robloxshitpost4756 Yes but if you take your phone out the follower will try to make a quick move because the people who are being followed's first instinct is to call someone known or the cops and the follower will be scared to get caught. And calling the cops will take a lot of time minimum 5 mins for the cops to arrive and *usually* the cops will ask the person to describe the follower so that will take around 2 mins but the follower will notice that the person being followed is on the phone and turning back to describe the follower and will obviously notice they called the cops. So minimum 7 minutes will be taken for the cops to reach that place and in that 7 minutes MANY things can happen.
It’s sad that there are people like this out there.... we shouldn’t have to be in possible danger every time we leave the house

When being followed in the street make sure you have a phone with you, make sure you called someone when your near any shop but if they are waiting for you raise your suspicions

Thanks for this im a 9 year old kid your a life saver when i was walking outside going to buy food for my grandma suddenly theres a man Hes shirt is black when i walk over him he turn and starts following me and i was nervous but i didnt ask him why are you following me i start walking slightly faster until that i lost him and i run to make sure hes not there and i go back home
Wish I knew this when I was 8, I lost my parents in Walmart so I was looking for them than some random guy just grabbed my wrist and acted as if I was his daughter, I started crying and resisting and thankfully my parents heard my yelling and found me, the guy got arrested and a Walmart employee let me get some candy for free :)

One time, when I was about 14, I was walking down the street & out of no where a car pulls over and the lady in the car tells me the man behind me is following me. I asked her what man, bc I didn't see anyone. And she pointed across the street, down a little. He acted like a very old man who couldn't hardly walk, he had a cane, he walked with a limp, like he needed the cane. He seemed harmless. So I said "ok, thx" & she drove off behind me. When I looked back behind me to see her drive away a second or two after she left, she disappeared & it's a long straight road, so I Def should've seen her drive down the street (I honestly think she was an Angel, bc she was glowing when I tlked to her & she was very very beautiful, and any person just driving down the street would never have known he was following me). But I didn't see her, so then I looked back at the man behind me but still across the street. I was only about 15 feet from where I lived. So I walked passed my place and kept walking. I stopped at the stop light up the street & wanted to see what he'd do. He stopped when I stopped. I yelled across the street "what r u waiting for??? Just go ahead and go... Don't follow me... Leave me alone !!" if he wouldn't have listened, then I would've threatened to call the cops on him at someone's house right there. But he did listen and he kept walking. And after that he walked normal... Just fine, without the cane & without the limp. Like he was faking it before. Once he was out of sight, I went bk home, and actually

when I was like 8 years old there was this taxi driver that said "hey kid, come with me." And I didnt say anything but just stared at him then I went in the market and hid behind the ATM machines and he actually waited for me to come out, but I hid there for so long and he probably got tired and left, after that I ran to some random strangers and held their hand lol they dont even care if I hold their hand and I ran as fast as I could to our house lol

This actually happened to me a few years back... I noticed a tall man following me while I was picking up a prescription from the pharmacy at my local CVS. I tried to loose him, but kept seeing him appear from nowhere. I thought I had finally lost him and as I was walking fast to the parking lot behind the CVS to get my car, I see him behind me again. I saw there were no cars coming so I ran across the street to walgreens, which back then used to always have a security guard. When I get there he was still behind me and there was no security guard, and the register was empty, no cashier by the door. I looked around and only customers walking around. I turned and screamed at the man real loud "Why the F... are you following me", everyone stopped and looked, he seemed surprised and pretended not to speak English. So I screamed at him again in Spanish, more people were coming to the front of the store to see what was going on. He seemed embarrassed, said he wasn't following me and called me crazy, as he walked into the store... I took advantage of everyone paying attention and ran to my car, got in locked the doors and left. I was so scared and tense that I ended up getting a stiff neck, and crying. Looking back, the thing I regret is not staying long enough to report him to the police.

I remember when this happened to me a few months ago i confronted him he told me he wasen't following me but there is a small error in what he thought i was i have a camera built in to my backpack i showed him the videos and photos he had a knife in his backpocket which he tried stabbing me with little he knew i called the cops of suspicion they arived just when he was about to stab me in the chest he got shot in both of the kneecaps i got sent to the hospital for trauma hes now in jail and has 20 years left in his sentance

I remember when I was coming home from the Chinese store, a old guy was started following me. So I started to walk across the street faster, he did the same. Thankfully my dad was there at the bus stop before he left. The old dude looked at us with an angry face and left.
