I liked both, but in 1 the graphics and detail are better (I checked it on my PC in 4K). How come all the games are downgraded in 22-23... it's a shame
Thank god someone mentioned this. There's like a weird cartoon shine to everything now. The screen stretches out way too far if you boost and drift. Love 1 but was so disappointed by 2
I remember playing Stunt Track Challenge on the PS2 when I was a kid. I still have it now. I actually got the first Unleashed game on Steam when it went on sale just a while after they announced the second game. Compare them both and you can see how well the graphics improved
The first game looks better to me. They could have just added the Jump and the ram abilities to the old game. This game is about collecting cars, so why did the new game forget all the cars we've already unlocked? Seems dumb to start over. The whole point was to collect them all then the first thing they do is lose our collection.. 🤨
@Defooriginal thank you. The fact the cars from 1 were not in there by default is crazy. This should be the arcade racer equivalent of Gran Turisimo. I know licensing can suck, but shit. Cmon, you're Mattel. They should be begging for your license.
@@Defooriginal "They could have just added the Jump and the ram abilities to the old game" I disagree. Unleashed 1 was built without jumping and dashing in mind. If jumping alone was included, all of the tracks would be exploitable and it would be easy to find shortcuts, and end races and online matches easily. There would be zero challenge, and would be pointless racing with such a stupidly exploitable feature. Unleashed 2 on the other hand, was built WITH jumping in mind.
The difference is that the reflection ray tracing effects, and when we look at Unleashed 2, Milestone improved the reflection ray tracing using AMD fidelity X. which boost the on screen resolution. Unleashed 2 also have a more vibrant color palette.
For me: - Cars have this weird cartoon shine to them now, they looked more realistic before and more plastic now - The changes to the camera are annoying, especially when boosting and drifting, it looks like the image stretches out too much - Car upgrades aren't really upgrades because you have to swap good features for others (1 occasionally gave you less boost when upgrading so 1 isn't perfect for this either but it wasn't as bad) - Upgrade system completely undermines the "rocket", "drifter" etc categories - The map is somehow more confusing and forces a more linearpath. I kept finding myself stuck having to do less fun challenges because there were no quick races, even if there were quick races to my left or right but the path forces me to go straight. - Boss battles are just boring now, hitting the cardboard things aren't as fun as racing others - I'm not a fan of the changes to boost pads etc, being flat just looked cleaner for me - The least fun parts of tracks were when you had to slow down off the track and follow cones, constantly losing speed, easily way more of it here - Boost meter in the middle gets in the way and sometimes covers the car. Every other racing game has it to the side for good reason I think -DLC doesn't appear on the map so just feels like more tracks / cars more than a full DLC I would give all the updates up for the ability to change camera angles, see stats like best times(not just for most recent race but overall), stats for others and the ability to race ghost versions of ourselves. I hope they learn from other racing games Over all it just didnt feel as good driving but this one's hard to describe why Its not a bad game at all, id still say its one of the most fun arcade racers ever made and the ability to sidestep and jump are genuinely great additions, some of the tracks are tonnes of fun and im SO HAPPY the random boxes and mandatory shortcuts are gone. For me I just preferred 1
this HWU 2 is more like Speed Racer in PlayStation 2 game🤔 i've done playing speed racer, this HWU2 is very similar. but in speed racer, their ramming is move good than HWU2😂
Tbh. Beat that on the wii is the best hw game I've ever played. I just bought unleashed on steam bc it was super cheap even with all the dlc for $11.99. I have til the 11th of July to buy turbocharged but it's gonna be expensive. So I might wait.
It really is, especially since they changed how progression and upgrades work However you will lose some cars in 2 that are in 1, such as the character cars and McLaren You also lose all seven locations from the first game in favor of newer locations here

It's because the devs are finally realising they f'ed up by prioritising graphics over physics mechanics and gameplays
@@ummehabibaa5880 So the gameplay in part 2 is almost 1v1, like in part 1, or am I wrong? They even simplified it in some places
Well that's not the case on console

Looks like HWU2 should have been a DLC with new stages, motorcycles and some additional trackpieces...
I disagree because with the amount of new content in the game. The DLC would cost maybe over 50 bucks usd( The base game cost 50 bucks usd)

So basically the second one is more blur and has new annoying sounds...

thank you for sharing
Wich one is better in nitendo switch? Only get little diffrent for HWU2 ?
Did u get the answer?
Old one but with updates 2nd one
Just like mk11 and mk1
They look almost identical when playing because I need glasses
Which game has best graphics on ps5?
idk i haven't tried it yet on ps5

The collors in HWU2 are overly saturated. That is so unnecessary. At least the second game is less annoying and a bit easyer.
Is drifting better on turbocharged?
Slightly
If everyone agreed with me? Hot Wheels Unleashed is just Hot Wheels Beat That! 2 and Hot Wheels Unleashed 2 is just Hot Wheels Beat That! 3
Well no it's more similar to stunt track challenge

Nice bro 😎🎉🎊👌👏🔥
Thanks 🔥
Its no ps1 micromachines 🤷🏼♂️
Unleashed 2 is boring
For me, it's great
Para mí no está mal Pero el original siempre es lo mejor
Someone doesn't know what true arcade racers are...
