Level 1 and Level 2 seemed happiest...levels 3 and 4 and 5 seemed more serious...level six filled us with confidence for the final boss!!

Thank you for posting! I'm sitting here with a smile on my face remembering the summer I got this game for the Master System. Life was good.

BT (in the UK) used to have a home telephone 4-pack that you could buy which came with this as the default ring tone

as for the woman, it's Mary (as depicted in Double Target, whereas in Quartet, she has brunette hair and her likeness is more inspired by Sigourney Weaver in Aliens).

That was an easter egg, right? Took me 30 years to find out oo Sound Test
At the title screen, press Pause x 4, then press button 1 on controller 2.

Yeah. Pretty hidden. I wish all the Master System games did this.

Sega Master System port of this game really did try to capture some of the arcade versions magic.
Sadly it fell short and thus any future Sega console ports attempts faded away.
Excellent tune, SMS really did have a unique sound.

I''m pretty sure there was a buttload of arcade ports for The Master System years after this.

Nick Tronson I think you misunderstood me, yes Sega made many arcade ports to their home consoles.
I am talking about the game Quartet, Sega Master System was the first and last stop for a home port of Quartet on any Sega console outside of a ps2 Sega System 16 compilation disc having the arcade version. There as a few computer ports like the ZX Spectrum and C64 but those too were not very good.
