Dream whip and Cool Whip are whipped cream substitutes that hold their shape instead of flattening over time like real whipped cream does. If you can’t find an equivalent, just use real whipped cream but make it just before serving.

Yes I also read a few recipes and I definitely like this recipe with cream cheese the best. Then I tried it without the egg yolks and it never set up! So I like your recipe, and another recipe wants you to add 8 egg yolks and bake it just for 25 min at 325. But 8 yolks is an awful lot and gets expensive so I think I cannot wait to make this recipe. I have never made dream whip so I cannot wait to try it and I don't like Cool whip either since after one time I let it set out room temp and it turned into something horrible. It was disgusting so I've never used it since! I really do like whipping cream the best although today Walmart was out of it!!!! Seems like half the shelves are empty and what's up with that anyway! But I cannot wait to make this, thanks for sharing.
