@@dvsdawl From what I can remember when I first saw the Neverfull it was going for 650 that was back in the 90s I never purchased it then when I decided to purchase I paid 1200 now it’s 2000 ridiculous
And what gets me they quality lately is horrible am obsessed with the Felicie Pochette I’ve had it in my cart I keep removing it and adding it back now am at the point of saying goodbye because there’s an issue with the flap my friend has it and the constant opening cause the flap to curl up at that price point we should not have that issue down to my LV belt cracked, my husband wallet, and my damier speedy cracked coach has a similar style to the Felicie I purchased it and it’s beautiful well done am so disappointed with Louis Vuitton at this point

It's cute but as a Flight Attendant, i can tell you many of my passengers have lost things out of it. It is not a practical travel bag. In my opinion and experience

That's why I would never use it for flights! I don't understand why people use it as carry on...
I prefer the longchamp Le pliage which zips up! I can lay it on its side if I have to and not have to worry.
The aftermarket inserts are very helpful. They give the bag structure and have pockets and sometimes zippers

Longchamp is jumping with joy as the sales of Le Pliage totes go up 😁 Now that Longchamp makes their City Totes in coated canvas, it's become a better alternative to the Neverful, real or fake. With a zipper too! Not a fan of gaping holes either. Give me a zipper or give me death 😜

The reason the Neverfull is so popular because it’s a practical bag it’s serve multiple purposes you get what you pay for the new bags It’s pure trash they’re not practical for today’s average woman.
I agree. Many newer designed luxury and designer bags feel like they are over designed and just out of touch with consumer’s practical needs. 💖
I got all of mine modified to close. I took it to a cobbler and he added a magnets to all of my Neverfulls.
I’m tired of LV playing these mind games, this gonna get tiring really soon. whoever is doing the brand marketing is gonna be their downfall. Every brand needs its staples, their classics, can't live just on seasonal or trendy bags. I don't care for the neverfull however I see the appeal and practicality and I'm here for all my aunties and girlies out there that want it! LV 👏 CUT 👏 THE 👏 BS and be for real.
It's been tiring. And the annoying part is that it's not only LV and Chanel. All these luxury brands have been playing one game or the other. It's just these two companies that want to play ALL the games at once. I'm so tired of their bs.
The neverfull is the best mommy bag. It’s very durable and lasts forever. Easy to throw all your things in and easy to retrieve items. It also looks much more chic than other mom bags. However for work, school or travel I don’t think it’s the best. Maybe for travel on airplane but that depends where your flying. Btw it’s NOT discontinued you just have to get on waitlist for it.
Actually they will not have it in boutiques but only online apparently… and a few comments further up a flight attendant left a comment saying the NF is bad for flying because they experience a lot of people loosing many things from the open NF during flights.
I never had a need for the Neverfull and don't like open tote bags. I'm really done with this concept of brand loyalty. Fashion is supposed to be fun, now it's a dictated quota spend.

Me too. When I felt like having a “designer” bag as a beach bag, I got the MCM tote which was like a fraction of the price and a better quality. I hope they don’t come for the Speedy next because I thought that was the most copied LV bag 😅

To be honest, all their strategies are gonna backfire on them. The constant price increases worked when the bags were cheap, but now it's getting to the point where the price is no longer justified and they are actually keeping up with the charade. This is one of the reasons why I feel the NF is being "discontinued". Everyone who wants one already has one and everyone who doesn't is kind of out of their price range now and sales are definitely declining. Pair that with how well fakes are made these days and what's the point of paying $2k+ when you can find one for under $500. Luxury as a whole is gonna regret their whole approach in the coming decade or so.
I don't imagine people in market for a genuine are in the same realm as a person looking for a fake.

It is very light, opposite to birkin which is as heavy as a dead donkey! Neverfull is light and comfy. I have like 5 different types of it, in different leathers. I will miss it.
Its not gone for good, but just becoming hard to get apparently.

I have had my neverfull for over 15 yrs and I use to when I travel it’s convenient

I love louie, but I agree with you, I don't love the lv leather, It was an expensive lesson to learn. My louies are all not current, maybe I just like a vintage look, or the new looks is not doing it for me.
Maybe if Louis Vuitton came off their high horse, the NF would be an extremely lovely bag. I have one and its my first LV bag. I use it all the time because you can put your small dog in it and away you go. I don't like seeing a sea of fake ones, but I blame that on LV. If things were more affordable, they would not be making fakes. And I don't look down my nose at anyone who has a fake. Everyone likes beautiful things. The monogram to me, is classic Louis Vuitton and what he started with. We don't have to have a $10,000.00 bag to be respected in the fashion world. Personally I don't care what people have. Just what I have and like. I wish I could get ahold of a Jeff Koons collaboration with LV in a Mona Lisa NF! I definitely would get one!

I read the book and since then I have no respect for him. She claims that he took her child away from her and that she had to secretly get her child back again. Its so sad. 😔

I got this bag about 9 years ago & I barely wear it now. But I do pull it out when I have to go on business trips for work. They’re great for travel. It looks much better over time!
I listen to one TH-camr earlier today and she claims that she has got another information from different sources that Neverfull will still be available, however LV will create a 2-3 months waiting list. And there will not be possible to buy it online anymore. SAs have not revealed though why LV has decided to pursue this new strategy. We can only speculate 🤨
That’s what I keep hearing. That they won’t be available online. You will need to go through a CA & go on a waitlist.
This is insane to me. Everyone who wants a Neverfull already has one. The only people who don't are ones who can't afford it and need to save up. Now they'll be forced to wait a couple more months where there is probably a price increase lurking around each corner? And they wonder why the counterfeit market is so successful 🤷♀
Hi Julia 🥰 yes that is also possible. The way this will play out will most likely depend on the specific market the bag is sold in. This means that some US boutiques might offer the bag in a different way than lets say some European countries would do. Same applies to the online shop. We shall see soon enough how this plays out as LV starts implementing their alleged new strategies and customers start reporting about what they experience in the shops worldwide.

How come y”all don’t buy stuff like On-The-Go, Trunk Clutch, Petite Malle?? Those are the 3 prime bags imo for LV. Everything else is coin theft. There are a few honorable mentions like the Palm Spring Mini, Vertical Trunk Pochette, Hard Edged bags, and certain extra mini’s and mini’s 😲
I am glad I am not the only who feel like open totes are anxiety inducing. But somehow all the big brands have that one super popular open tote Dior, Chanel, LV, Goyard. As cute as they are having to worried about my stuff spilling (you cant store it on a plane without buying another bag organizer!), getting rained on, getting stolen etc etc would probably take the fun out of using the bag😅

maybe LV wanted to shorten the queue ahead of graduation season/summer, when people go bananas over the neverfull? They don't make much out of selling those bags compared to the leather ones, so they don't want to waste time on them anymore
It's insanity to waste money on these expensive bags. Save and invest your money for the future. Take affordable experiences.
No one needs a million bags, shoes, etc. The less I have, the happier I am. I clean fast and have less dust collectors so I can do something else.
Be confident and have your own style. Don't copy everyone else and wear things others have.

@@SuperDacob I didn't grow up with much. My parents took us to a lot of free things or minimal cost. We had a lot of hand me down clothes.
We had used cars because dad was auto mechanic. I keep my cars a long time if I can. The last car I got was brand new but in 2004. I've only had 4 cars over the years.
Driving to Disney when I was around 14 we stayed in a motel that the toilet blocked the bathroom door from closing. It was late and we stayed there.
My dad said you can't take things to the grave. Our parents told us how their friends complained they had no money to do things because they were buying things behind their partners backs, or they just wasted money on nonsense.
Our parents said to make sure you have money in the future so you can retire and not worry as much. Make sure to put away money for rainy days.
Our dad and mom told us we didn't need a gazillion things to be happy. Instead I took photos of some things I wanted to remember.
Our mom had us cleaning the house from about age 9 and added more chores as we got older. This made me realize I don't need dust collectors because I hated to dust. I love vacuum and food shop.
Our mom also stayed at home until I was 15.

I have the Dueville tote and I agree that it looks fake. My roommate that was a vice president for a Rolex in Hong Kong she gave it to me. All she had was Chanel bags and dresses but she took the straps, so I had to get my own straps on Etsy lol. But I don’t like that bag either. It’s been sitting in my closet for three years I’ve never worn it.

I use a DE Neverfull GM as my work bag. I keep an organizer in it and put it on a cushioned chair all day. I’ve had it for 2 1/2 years, and the corners look awful. If I didn’t baby the bag, the corners would probably be completely worn through. The quality is not good enough for this bag to cost over $2000.

I bought the Neverfull GM twice because I made the mistake selling the first one and didn’t realize how much I would miss it. The second one was seven years ago but I would not buy again because it is way too much now.

I've heard that Goyard bags don't age very well though and become crusty. I wanted one but after hearing people's experiences with it, I don't see it as a great investment. (And by investment, I mean the bag lasting over time, not me reselling it lol).

My friend worked seasonally during the holidays a few yrs ago for LV she and she told me they deliberately understocked the Neverfull to upsell other items. After the holiday season, they got so much restock they didnt know what to do with it.
I personally love the 2000s epi leather. I respect the Neverfull, but no desire to own it myself.

Everyone’s going crazy. But I bought one two days ago. All I did was call customer service and ask them to put a request into one of the stores that showed in stock on line. The ca called me the next morning I paid and they sent it. There’s plenty in stock. And I had no waitlist. I think it’s probably inaccurate information that got leaked. I could be wrong though I’ll list below the current stores that have them available for phone orders.

I love the kirigami pochettes, the make up pouches and the packing cubes. They are actually hard to come by here in the boutiques en France. I prefer the monogram to the leather anyday!!! I am really not feeling the capucines, though.

I stopped buying LVs back in the millennium era , all I have are the collection of trunks from the late 90s . I love looking at the vintage crafmanship…. Classic . Theses days … all gave me headache with too many design , too many colours … too many fusses over a collection ! 😂
I have a slightly different take: counterfeiters like to copy what's "in", the popular go-to styles. If LV limits the accessibility, therefore the desire for the NF, will the counterfeiters make fewer trying to catch the next bag that will be "in"? In any case the NF is WAY oversaturated, so good riddance. I also believe that this is LV's way of gatekeeping, trying to bring the NF back to luxury status. I jokingly commented on Jessie's Style channel that maybe that episode of Succession with the Burberry Tote triggered a moment with the LV bigwigs where they realized they didn't want to be associated with something as pedestrian as a work tote. even though it wasn't their brand represented. I'll add to this silly conspiracy theory by saying that the son of Bernard Arnault has been in NYC for the reopening of the flagship Tiffany's store, and if he's been spending ANY time walking around the city then he's probably seen his fair share of the NF's, and maybe made him gasp in horror. 🤣
The thing is, I think that by limiting the accessibility to the neverfulls, LV will just enhance its desirability instead. Look at the birkins and kellys and look at the minis at chanel… the minute they decrease desirability, the fomo in the people grows higher! And I think they are counting on it, allegedly! But only time will tell and we shall see soon enough how this plays out…
@@SuperDacob True. But the Birkins and Kellies are exceptional quality (Chanel was supposed to be as well, but well, you know), whereas a NF is...a NF. It has never even been considered a "classic", from what I could gather. We definitely will see what happens within the next few months, get the popcorn!

@@SuperDacob I'm using public transport every single day. If an open bag falls... If I fall asleep... All those little carried treasures are exposed. Sometimes the accessories cost 4/5x the price of the container. It's not for exposure or to show off but my pleasure only and I prefer to keep them safe.
And I already said that's why I love Pliage from Longchamp. One zipper and it's closed. I also have it in their previous leather 4x4 in black with red lining. Gorgeous. And as you said If you know you know...
None of these brands want to make totes. Yes, we would all love to have a ton of impractical "fashion" styles, but that is just not practical for most women. The few luxury bags I have are all totes or travel bags. I'm always on the go. I usually need to take a bunch of stuff with me when i leave the house. Im never going to spend on tiny fashion bags because I have no use for them on a day to day basis. If there were a better selection of larger bags, I would buy more bags.

People who are new to this brand and to these bags still do not have them. Lets not forget that there are always people who just start getting into these brands and for them its all new and exciting too so I say we should not forget that and also be inclusive of them and their journeys. We can learn from each other too. There is something so refreshing and special about the opinions of people who just discover these brands. They still have a more innocent vision about them that I always love. 🥰
@SuperDacob Yes I agree. It's just I think they are retiring this bag because I can't go anywhere without seeing over 80 percent of people carrying this bag! My friend recently said to me why would I want a bag that EVERYONE has. LV sees everyone has the bag and it makes the brand not exclusive like LV is known for. I mean my dog literally has this bag as well.
I never care for the neverfull. But I always liked the speedy. I used to own a speedy 30 but sold it since I don't use it because it doesn't have the crossbody or shoulder strap functionality. I eventually might buy a speedy 25 with a strap or even speedy nano since I am petite.

The mini pochette is readily available in most LV shops dear. The Pochette Accessoires isn’t. 💖
I recently purchased the mini pochette. When I called my SA she said they have it available but when I picked up the manager said let he check again to see if they have it. I was surprised but I feel lucky to get it. 😂

The neverful is what I used for a gym bag but that’s the only way I use it.
Its an easy all round errands bag in my opinion so I really don’t see why they should limit it like that. Its one of their power horses but hey… only time will tell if they made the right choice and if the choice they made backfires…
The goyard tote is the trending bag in that style in nyc, i swear everyone has either the longchamp or the goyard 😂

I love the NF but I don't like open totes. I bought the Longchamp Le Pliage City Tote in coated canvas and I love it. I can throw a speedy 30 or a trousse 28 in there with room to spare and it has a zipper. Purse security is always on my mind 😂

2. I worked there and client advisors are essentially penalized if they sell one ($1.80 commission and selling anything canvas counts against your percentage of sales and can lead you on the path to getting fired) not making this up.
Also Dacob, your videos are super fun. And you are right about the speedys we’re gone about 2 years ago… that’s when I started working there. Actually the neverfulls were gone too. Then they stuffed the stores for Christmas, it was so weird and they all smelled like wet basement 🤣 all us CAs would desperately try to sell leather so we wouldn’t get put on notice with our jobs and of course trying to make a little commission. God forbid you sold a zip keychain by itself.

This is so funny... I started my LV journey in 2013 and my 2nd purchase would have been a Neverfull. My SA disencouraged me and recommended the Delightfull instead, because the strap would give me much more comfort for wearing. I followed her advice and haven't regret it one bit. My bag was at the time more rare, and still keeps up without issues. I have seen they revamped it too and increased the price. My OG version still stands. ❤ very interesting video Dacob!

I bought an authentic never-full from a LV store in Las Vegas but after a couple of years - I gave it to my sister. She used for 6-7 years until it got nasty - she donated it to Goodwill. I bought a good faux for $30 in South Korea in 2011, I still carry it - still looks good. It's not a secure bag but it's a good for shopping.
Am getting two versions of this.1) NF will be available waitlist only with 3-month average wait or 2) NF available online only.
If its #1 then its clearly a Hermes-like strategy, which Chanel also uses with the minis, and has attempted to do as well with the classics but failed miserably. The concept also allows LV to strategize around their customers with upsell marketing techniques. This also forces customers to walk in to LV, increasing the chances that they walk away with something else.
Online makes it super convenient for customers to get what they want, pretty much hassle-free but leaves LV with no opportunity to upsell you on anything.
I think they are trying to get people in stores, as sales are down in US.

I got a leather Neverfull this year, because I live in Hawaii, so it fits the casual beach vibe. It is pink, my favorite color, so I had to have it. I got a zippered insert for it, which completes the functionality of it. I will say I should have got coated canvas, because the leather really adds to the weight and takes away that carefree feeling.
