Thanks a lot for the shout out and the locations to the awesome 4 tough locations. We are having a great time exploring them. Randy and Mr M are also with us. Gly you're not scaredy-cat you just have good common sense your brave just to go down in those mine's so deep freaks me out when people try and squeeze through cracks and get stuck I can't even watch that those were some neat minerals love you show keep up the good work thank you
I really appreciate your rant Gly and I wish that they would have come to stop you while you were there so you could educate them on the real points of a mine claim etc keep up the excellent work my friend and stay safe Love from Lincolnshire England
Awesome to hear Frank is going to visit those mines! Love the content Gly, since finding your channel 2 years ago when the world was in an interesting place you’ve given me something to look forward to every weekend. Thank you for the time and effort you put into these videos
Gly, what you are showing us is why I love this channel. Showcasing these samples and the related descriptions are fascinating. Have you ever found turquoise out in your explorations? I used to find pyrite pieces in the landscaping rock around the pavement edges at a company I worked for a couple of years ago.
“Gly”: Yes, I have found turquoise but it was of a lower grade. Some of the high-grade turquoise I found was located north of Tonopah Nevada but I couldn’t pick any up and take any with me because it was on somebody’s registered claim. However, it sure was nice to look at!
Good morning Gly! Love it when you get the drone back. It's looks and almost sounds like you're trying to catch a Jurassic dragonfly. 🤣😅😂 Makes me chuckle. Can't wait to see what Frank and Sharon do in the Yellow Rope Mine. That video had me hanging on the edge of my chair. But, always listen to your gut, Gly, and keep safe.
Good show gly. My dad and I went into a mine one time and found a bunch of selinite crystals. Some of the crystals were 2-4 inches in length. Very delicate stuff very beautiful stuff. Very oxygen sensitive. Dad wound up putting them under a glass bell jar to preserve them. Just thought I'd share that with you. I'm mean no insult. Just sharing. Enjoyed the show. And the biggest problem with people that you ranted about is greed. But you know that. Looking forward to your next mine explore mine diver. Oh yeah im not a good speller. 😉😎👍
It's not just a problem with miners. Logging companies and ranchers do the same thing, and sometimes go even further by erecting gates to keep people off public lands.
Of all your mineral findings, I like the large vein of Azurite the best. It has awesome quality and color. I really enjoyed the adventure and the video!!! Gly, in reference to your rant, I have four lode claims in Arizona. I enjoy having visitors and I'll even help people find minerals if they ask and are polite. I go far enough to host rock clubs for UV mineral searches in the dark as well. I do, however, get really pissed off to have John Q. Public destroying my sample areas with their quads, crushing irreplaceable specimens, stealing my claim signs, pulling up the corner stakes, and dismantling monuments because some idiot thought miners hid their gold under the stack of monument rocks. I spent nine hours in two days in 100 degree plus temperatures separating a large slab the size of half a pickup bed of mixed chrysocolla with large silver metal veins in it - only to return to find roughly 20 Ozs of metallic silver vein and about 300 lbs of high quality chrysocolla and turquoise mix missing two days later. The access to my claim has a road exclusively to it and goes nowhere else. I would love to put barred gates across the road to protect my investment, but have refrained due to the BLM "public access" rule. There is a moratorium on patented claims, so I can't protect my claims or post the claims for trespassing, but I do plan to put trail cameras on the claim and I will prosecute to the full extent of the law all those that jump my claims, steal my minerals, and vandalize my equipment. The signs I place are the Legal Yellow Federal Claim Signs which plainly indicate that mineral specimens shall not be taken, but then some meatheads steal my corner posts to build campfires, tear down my Legal Mining Claim signs for souvenirs, and all while stealing my minerals and precious metals. I have to pay a yearly fee for each claim which I hope to recover by sales of specimens, but the cost of re-surveying and replacing corner markers as well as rebuilding rock monuments and signs is so discouragingly expensive I want to tar and feather the ignorant and willful folks that damage my investment. An experienced surveyor will typically charge $84-100 per hour. While the average price for a survey is usually under $400, there are many factors that could raise that price to well over $700, which includes rugged terrain and hazardous wildlife such as Rattlesnakes, Scorpions, Gila Monsters, Mountain Lions, and Coyote packs. All I ask is that people respect the claim, repair any damage they cause, and that they don't steal my minerals.
“Gly”: There’s no doubt that the general public can be really frustrating at times exhibiting little to no common sense. Most individuals are law abiding citizens but for some reason when they find themselves out in the middle of nowhere with nobody watching they do things they otherwise wouldn’t. Unfortunately the problem is only getting worse and it stems directly from how individuals were raised. Our generation is a far cry different from what we see today.
@@AbandonedandForgottenPlaces It seems that ethics and respect are no longer acceptable attributes and have been replaced with opportunism and selfishness. In any case, I will continue my course of action and will continue with respect for the individual with my help in the field. I did have one encounter that surprised myself and the group of four wheelers. They were digging around picking up some nice crystals when I stumbled across them. I explained about claim jumping and asked they return the rocks. They were totally ignorant about the laws concerning claims and did turn around their attitude after explanations. Perhaps education is needed to let folks know their responsibilities as far as claims go, and will work toward the educational goal. Who knows, perhaps this old fart may make his own "You Tube" video for the unwashed masses...
Loved your rant Gly. Sticking up for the public's right to enjoy our lands, while we still can, is a noble cause. Reminds me of people with fishing holes. They think they own the spot, and nobody else can touch it, and can get aggressive, even dangerous towards other people on the water just because they've fished there and had good luck. This is completely unacceptable behavior, and I really appreciate you educating people on the matter.
Those rock specimans were bad ass. The blue, love blue are gorgeous. Looks like u had fun in Quartzsite. Love the geology, I'm a geologist as well and there are some beautiful rocks out there. What a history and geological lesson today Gly. I have a pyrite specimen that has cone shaped and that's all it is. Came from Mexico, bought it at a rock shop in Utah. I have lots of galena, lead and silver ore as well while hiking the Wasatxh mountains in Utah.
Thank you for clarifying the claim status rules for people. I have had run ins with people trying to threaten me and my friends when they had no right to do so...
Thanks for another great video Gly! Been watching from the first of your shows, as a long time Nevada miner, it lets me go along to many more places than I could ever get to these days, and I thank you for your channel. Oh the places I could show you in Nevada!!!! Always love the collaborations with Mr. M, - Randy, - and Frank. I watched to the very end here and must agree. WAY TOO MUCH of our public lands are denied to the public, or simply taken away. Minds me of a certain section of new road, leading from a certain Capitol which now connects to another major highway -- and the entire highway they put in and opened to the public to drive on.... is fenced and gated (AND padlocked ) on both sides, very nearly the entire way. Lots of signs about if you need to get inside.... and blocking access to many claims, and even a ghost town you can see from the road. Sorry, didn't mean to write a book, but there - MY rant in agreement. Thanks for all you do!
That chalcanthite reminds me very much of a hydrangea flower. Very beautiful. Good for keeping vines free of botrytis too when applied as a solution! Astonishing videography as ever. How I do envy you Americans your wide open spaces.

Hello Gly, maybe Frank will go to the Death Stope and do a "rope a Stope". Haha, a little Mohamed Ali reference. I would also like to see what's at the end of the yellow rope. His video's a real good too. But I believe you are right. You have to follow you gut and if you go outside your comfort zone in a case like this would not be wise. Still love your video's the best of all the exploring video's. I love how you explain things about the terrain, rocks, geology, etc... You drone is so cute too.
@@loyalkuhn5778 I thought it was good. Though I think I heard either Mr. M or Gly say "dope on a rope" Once when he was about ready to repel down the shaft.
At 14:57, your Jeep's hood shines so high that I can see your image in it. (Old Bob got a bath)..ha. Woohoo! love those cubing crystals of Galena. Fantastic Pyrite cubes!! At 23:41, Vanadenite as seen on the mine's ribs and pieces lying around in your "throw back" insert.....I just would have liked one of those pieces. Auzurite, as seen in the mine you walked thru, were fantastic! Your specimen is of great quality. I want it! Scuderite, haven't seen that in my travels; nice rock. Copper Sulfate, marvelous! but "no licking"...ha,ha. After your rant, do you feel better? Hope so.
Great video Gly. I am glad you spoke up on the difference between the types of claims, and you are right to rant about how some go overboard in protecting mineral right claims. Hopefully you not just educated US, the public but also the those who think they own the public land they only have the right to mine minerals from. Great video. Boy I really do love that blue copper sulfate rock. Wow!! Wish I was in a situation financially to bid but 2 boys in college and being a single mom is rough. Stay safe and healthy, gotta go and fix my Raman noodle dinner. lol
Gly, NEVER push yourself to do something that your not comfortable doing. Also glad to see old bob for how old he is, be able to get up that steep hill.
Thank you for taking 'me out of my world' for- awhile? Shameless escapism! I'm losing my place to live (security guard) soon (northern Nevada is filling Up!)...and, So? Heading south for the warmth. Seeing Arizona 'Your way' is most entertaining... Plenty of campgrounds, & state parks still to visit... I do know Central Nevada pretty well, and plan on getting used to my new/0ld lifestyle, somewhere around There(need a hot spring) People are being displaced everywhere = time to Hit the Road!
You made some very good points with your rant! I have never tried to mine, just explored in my "young" years and not knowing what rights these people have most likely would have made me turn away. A very good educational video as all yours are. This one thogh I think was an exception. Later buddy and keep it going!
Absolutely another good geology lesson. I have explored the Mojave Desert for the last 25 years and always wondered. What where the signs the miner looked for? It's not like the landscape changed a whole lot over the last 160 years. Just as desolate. Where would you even start? Obviously geology is the answer ,hence I am enjoying watching your channel tremendously. Thank you so much.
I don't know if you remember the Japanese children's animated TV show Speed Racer, one of the gadgets associated with the Mach 5 (Speed's car) was a "Homing Robot," which essentially was a drone (I do recall in one episode it physically carrying a box camera to take pictures). The Homing Robot had a launching/landing spot built into the car. I thought of a person was using a drone to take shots while driving having a landing pad built into the roof for similar part of the vehicle would be a useful similar feature.
There is cobalt and silver samples on Scotty and Shaser creeks off of Peshastin creek on the north side of Blewett Pass in Washington state, I used to dredge gold there.
Gut feeling Gly. Yep. 14,700+ hours of jet helicopter time hanging off skids. Gut feeling was key. River rescue at night?…. “gut feeling, risk vs. reward” - 95% of the time it was, hmm, ya, we can do that. The other 5%. Nope, No way. It’s not just density altitude vs. performance, it’s what are the consequences if things go sideways. Stay safe Gly ! -Bry
Gly, would have been nice to catch up with you in quartzite. We spend the winters here, I've been in and around a lot of mines in the area. Really enjoying your channel, keep it up.
"Sign, sign everywhere a sign, Marking up the scenery, breakin my mind. Do this, don't do that, can't you read the sign. And the sign says you got to have a membership card to get inside; hoo." What more can I say? This has been a problem for me since I was a kid.
Some poor dudes skeleton was at the end of that yellow rope, think you shook his boots and backpack off thou..Like to see some really nice samples of Olyite and Leverite!
Frank and Sharon go into places that I would never think of going. They do a good job it just seems like it's very dangerous work. I've never seen any apparitions in Frank's mine work but Gly has shown two episodes with possible apparitions. One has to take them for a warning. Also, do you leave the keys in your Jeep when you leave to explore?
Macro lense, for close up detail . Maybe b roll input into video in post editing . This would be an absolute golden addition to your already very high quality videos.

Stay safe and healthy, gotta go and fix my Raman noodle dinner. lol
“Gly”: Thanks Lisa!
Gly, NEVER push yourself to do something that your not comfortable doing. Also glad to see old bob for how old he is, be able to get up that steep hill.
“Gly”: His skin is 1998 but everything else is brand new… well… mostly.
They got you on a trail cam but you got them on TH-cam. Gly Flexness 💪😎👍
Love it
Greetings Gly! Omg it looks like you and I hit the same vendor for the Copper Sulfate. Mine looks similar to the fifth one 😏... Hope all is well.
Always good to see a video up on a saturday morning.
Music gotten better, going to add Kid Arizona to my car playlist.
good job on another one. love the show thanks for sharing your knowledge.
Great video gly.and thank you for sharing this video with all of us.you do a great job and great videos
Good to see and hear you again.
It's not often that a rant is, not only educational, but very much needed. Rant on. ✌
Great video. Loved the end . You are 100% right.
YES !!! Thanks for focusing on the minerals !
I love seeing theses, hope to see more 😁
Outstanding Crystals !!
Good for you Gly for stating all that at the end of the video 👏👏👍
I love beautiful rocks. I have a nice collection I’ve found here in my state of Arizona 🌵 Nice vid👍🏻
Im new here..thanks. Im so excited..you have my attention..

YELLOW ROPE at last...thanks Frank .

I didn't get the notification . I had to check your channel to see if you had a new video , Happy your ok .
Loved your rant. Someone needed to tell the public what you just now told. Thanks for that.
Good morning from Perris California. Clive's videos always rock!
Nice to see a local in this channel. Greetings from Hemet.
There is cobalt and silver samples on Scotty and Shaser creeks off of Peshastin creek on the north side of Blewett Pass in Washington state, I used to dredge gold there.
Cortland, NY here. Love your videos, Gly...
That was very interesting. Thank you for the knowledge ♥️♥️♥️
Fantastic video sir, i like the nitty gritty details.
cant have too much information, not possible.
Mav3! F'n awesome, dude! I want one, but have not been able to justify it yet! Especially since I have 3 drones already...... heh heh heh
Gly looks like you're running around in my backyard😆 it's been a warm winter them pesky Rattlers are still out 👀...
So what kind of sign defines a patent type claim site?
Good morning gly from a cold snowy kentucky.
Got that problem here in Washington too Gly. Thanks for the PSA!
Are you at the Rock and mineral show here in Tucson for the next few weeks? It has amazing samples and great prices!
“Gly”: No, unfortunately I won’t be able to make it over there this year.
Good job Gly. I'm behind you 💯.
Thank you Gly, have a great week!
Good morning my friend I enjoy all the minerals they are so beautiful minerals I would love go back to mineing again hopefully this year
39:00 Don't lick Copper Sulfate. It's like the 3 rules of plumbing. Payday is on Friday, water runs downhill, and don't lick your fingers.
“Gly”: Haha! Yep!
Thanks for your rant! Very educational. Thanks Gly
Thought it was a Shovel at the end of old yeller rope He HeHe!!!; )
Thanks very much for this information, I didn’t know this and you are right I would turn around .
Have you changed your eBay site every time I go to it I see nothing for sale or auction?
Damn Gly your in my back yard and you are so close to a great mine that’s almost untouched I feel. Anyways I hope to hook up with Frank this year
Gut feeling Gly. Yep. 14,700+ hours of jet helicopter time hanging off skids. Gut feeling was key. River rescue at night?…. “gut feeling, risk vs. reward”
- 95% of the time it was, hmm, ya, we can do that. The other 5%. Nope, No way. It’s not just density altitude vs. performance, it’s what are the consequences if things go sideways.
Stay safe Gly ! -Bry
What drone is that? I tried a search but couldn't find it
“Gly”: Skydio 2
Yes the mavic 3 is a very nice choice as an upgrade though
Oh my God Mr Gly Mr coolness the blue rocks and the thumbnail are absolutely gorgeous
That Azurite mine was a blue wonderland
Bless Old Bob but you need a Paris Dakar Buggy for out there! 😂
Gly, would have been nice to catch up with you in quartzite. We spend the winters here, I've been in and around a lot of mines in the area. Really enjoying your channel, keep it up.
Most beautiful minerals azerite love it still waiting to get some of it.
"Sign, sign everywhere a sign,
Marking up the scenery, breakin my mind.
Do this, don't do that, can't you read the sign.
And the sign says you got to have a membership card to get inside; hoo." What more can I say? This has been a problem for me since I was a kid.
Good Rant, they need to be put in their place over public lands, If it is gated, be aware!
I see a purple tinge to your azurite. You aren’t imagining it 😀
Name the Drone, (BLUEJAY).... Because he flies like a bird 🐦 ✅
Gly!
You should do a meet and greet/live auction someplace like the Cleator Yacht Club.
“Gly”: I was actually thinking about doing that..but I got lazy. Lol
it takes some focus during editing, which equals ... more time.
Good teaching moment way to go.
thank you for teaching us all the info you know, we love you
