This feels like DC wanting to repeat the success of Spiderman No Way Home, a movie that was far better than what I was expecting. What I feared for that movie, I got in The Flash instead! 😅
For me there was one laugh and it is more the idea than the execution, that Barry Allen changed the film careers of actors in the 1980s so Eric Stoltz was Marty McFly in Back to the Future, Michael J Fox was Ren McCormack in Footloose and Kevin Bacon was Maverick in Top Gun.
It had to be a dump truck full of cash. Honestly it hurts his credibility a bit to praise such obvious garbage. Would have been better to just stay quiet and hype his new universe
This movie would have needed to happen in Bruce got Barry's dad a decent lawyer. Bruce purchased a bank to help Clark's mom from losing her home. But, he could have spent a fraction of that cost to just get a decent defense lawyer for Barry's dad.
I have no intention of seeing this movie, but since I found your channel (and subscribed) I LOVE your commentary. You are so entertaining that I have told my family to watch you. They already do!!! :) Enjoy your day and your tea !!!
I think it would have made more sense for original Barry to go crazy trying to fix things. He was so attached to trying to help his mom, help his dad, save batman and supergirl .... he was the one with the hangup to begin with and the one that needed to learn the lesson. I think original Barry should have died after learning his lesson, and the new timeline carried by this alternate Barry should have continued. You could easily start a whole new timeline/verse from that sort of ending.
Honestly, that’s a damn good idea. It did strike me as odd that all of a sudden carefree stoner Barry becomes obsessed with being the hero. That would have really emphasized their idea of resetting the timeline with all new characters going forward
I feel bad for Gustin. He has the chops but the material he has to work with is terrible. The show did suffer from a +20 episode 40-50min runtime per season. Personally I think what they’ve donr with superman and stargirl, making them just a smidge over 10 eps, was better thought out.
My friends saw The Flash. I saw Elemental and Ruby Gillman, two animated movies that are underperforming and have been criticized for being too formulaic. And from what I've heard, I still feel I made the better choice.
I’m afraid between the three, it’s like trying to pick up a turd by the clean side. I’ve seen all three and as for the animated ones, I’ve come to expect movies from those studios that are deeper and appeal to a whole family. Both were decidedly made just for kids.
Greg I love you and your look upon all things. I agreed with a lot of what u said but u said nothing about Micheal Keaton. Loved him as batman again. Wish there was more of that. Otherwise, review was really good. I actually think it may look like nothing was changed, but when he saved his dad from prison that may be what created James Guns universe going forward. You can even say that Ezra Miller is stuck in George Clooney Batman universe if you never want to cast him again. Keep on keeping on Greg!!!
I really appreciate the kind words. I thought I was going to groan at Keaton coming back, but he really nailed it. I do think Gunn oversaw that last bit so I think you’re right, he was trying to get that idea across that this is the birth of his new universe. Sad that we spent 2 hours on a lead up to a reset
Wonder Woman, Aquaman, and Cyborg never had anything to do with stopping Zod. It was Superman alone. Barry just went to researching the other meta-humans when he realized Superman wasn't coming.
It's not often I've a video, but this one definitely earned it. For such a small channel, I think you're punching well above your weight class in terms of quality. Keep this up and you'll go far! Great video!
I was getting bored watching the movie as well. There was only 7 people in the theater that night. I did like the Batman scenes, but hated the rest. Supergirl was hot, and I cried through the scene with Barry and his mother at the end. My mom passed away couple of years ago, and I wish I could turn back time 😢.
worst scene in the entire movie is the several minute long part where OriginalBarry is searching for the heroes and the slob raises his leg to show the tattoo of Eric Stoltz on his calf. Should never even be filmed let alone actually make it into the movie. Just awful. And here is a GREAT idea: rather than have NewBarry act like a stoner teen to differentiate the 2 Barrys how about have a completely different actor play the character? We have Keaton as Batman in this universe followed by Clooney later...why not Grant Gustin?
Having an established Flash actor do New Barry would have been an infinitely bette call than doing the double Miller. That whole part of the movie just dragged on for what felt like an hour.
So I might pick this up cheap when the DVD or Blu-Ray ends up in my local charity shop in few months, I am not paying full price to see it in the theatre or home media.
"Double espresso for Brexley" 😂 as a big Flash comcis fan, I was pretty bummed out by this movie. The near disregard for Flash characters and villains in his debut feature film was unforgivable to me.
I would’ve loved a proper send off to the DCEU in a Flashpoint story or just a plain Flash solo movie or at least something that didn’t relay on a 70 year old Batman and a time displaced Supergirl. Nothing here could’ve salvaged it. Just start over. Hey wait a minute.
(Post video watch) I like the perspective you brought. I have not seen it though I may still though I certainly didn’t have high expectations (I liked Man of Steel, B VS S, and the Snyder cut). From your review, it seems they did a “decent” job at pulling some aspects from the actual Flashpoint comics and film (animated) and chef sprinkled in some styling from No Way Home, which seems like a plus. I think some of your cons could stem from the numerous issues that came from the film such as it was supposed to be made back in 2017, WB definitely not knowing how to utilize DC characters, and not allocating funds to a universe that is closing (NOT looking forward to Gunn’s integration, I like Synder’s vision and ideas for the darker universe of characters but not looking forward to how comedic Gunn handles comic book characters).
I really appreciate it! I definitely wouldn’t call it a bad movie, but it sounds like it’s leaving theaters early and going digital, so best to wait for that as it won’t be a long wait. This movie certainly had a lot working against it and it shows. I have hope for Gunn’s universe, but you are right, if he brings too much comedy, it’ll basically be MCU Jr. I don’t like how the Snyderverse turned out, but at least it differentiated itself from the MCU. Fingers crosses Gunn doesn’t make an MCU clone at a time when the MCU is started to fade
Honestly, I was sorry to see the end of the Snyderverse but I'm a fan of James Gunn and I am excited about the new Superman! James Gunn + old musical score = home run!
Only thing I gotta disagree with was "the man can act" I don't think so, I think they just took a boy loves his mother and tugged at heart strings, I don't think Ezra Miller pulled it off, the scene just works for the feels... because it works for the feels
That’s definitely possible, it would have been touching regardless. Though I did enjoy a lot of his time as Original Barry. New Barry, though. Ugh. I can’t get his high pitch giggle out of my head.
The CGI characters reminded me of the PS2/PSP cutscenes in the God of War games. They switched to in engine footage for the PS3 and PS4 games. Consoles that are 15ish old had more realistic looking humans.
13:44 It would have been funny if the criminal looks at Batman in the face while he's getting pulled up by Wonder woman with the lasso of truth and he just says the Batman " You know you have pretty eyes" just making the whole situation really awkward and like you got to laugh at the situation.
You were way more positive on your pros than I am. I thought those points were fun, but not good. The action scenes had bad CGI as well, especially in Russia. I agree with your cons, but I also found original Barry to be annoying as well, in addition to young Barry.
The flash point paradox is such a better movie, it makes this one seem like a disney live action remake. It leaves barry going back to save his mom as the twist, while throughout the whole movie flash and the audience think its antiflashs doing. It also shows the real consequences of time travel where a ripple effect made superman land in a government facility to be experimented on instead of a farm, had Bruce Wayne be the one who got shot in crime ally making his dad the batman and his mom the joker, and had the entire plot revolve around the flash needing to regain his powers to stop a war started by wonder woman and aquaman. Its so cool to watch, especially since it follows the non canon dc comics it refrences very faithfully and just inserts flash to live the reality of the non canon dcu.
I enjoyed it more than most of the DC movies of the last two decades and more than half of the Marvel movies. I've seen worse CG and worse time travel logic. I disagree about all your cons surrounding 90s bat-stalgia, which I enjoyed more than I had expected from the trailer. I also appreciate it as an end, not packed with setup for future movies. Fun and done.
At the end, he learns that moving 1 tomato can to save his mum messes up the future so ... he moves all the cans to the top shelf to save his dad. That part I don't get.
Most of this could have been prevented if Bruce bailed Barry's dad out of jail, but he just decided to upgrade some cameras and take it to court, and even then he could have done that sooner.
Hey Greg Owen. Big fan of the channel, you seen to have the ability to read my thoughts. I was wondering if you’ve ever watched any of the animated DCU films? I’d like to hear you’re take. I’ve also recently been watching a lot of classic anime series and had to ask the question why aren’t Marvel & DC printing money by pumping out adult anime based on the comic books, much the same way anime was an almost direct translation of its original manga? Any thoughts?
I haven't watched the animated stuff, but I'm hearing the animated Flashpoint was 1000x better than this movie so I want to check it out. As far as the anime is concerned, I have no clue why American animation isn't jumping on that trend. Anime and Manga are killing it, while western animation is getting rounder and uglier and telling terrible stories
I'm a fan of DC films, and I'll see most of them in theaters at least once. Only if it's good will I spend money on the DVD. I have no intention of seeing the Flash
This is so disappointing. The Flash is my favorite DC hero and I have been waiting for a Flash movie for a long time. Now between the drama surrounding the actor, the poor cgi, and the irrelevant plot... sigh. The only solace here is that this universe is over and maybe the Gunniverse will bring me a better Flash down the road. Great video though Greg - love your stuff. Always check out your reviews!
I really appreciate it! Yeah, I was disappointed as well. I want DC to go beyond Superman and Batman, they have a huge cast to explore, but this wasn’t it. Luckily, this universe is dead so they right this attempt off. Fingers crossed Gunn has it in hand
okay, so I've watched none of the recent DCU but I take it that this is not the DC comics Barry Allen? Unless they are pulling a Marvel and completely overhauling the characters. Was there even a mention of Professor Zoom? Oh as an aside I finally sat down and watch the new D&D movie. I really enjoyed it.
This is not comic Barry AT ALL. The only thing they have in common are their powers and name. That's about it. Also there was not a single flash character from the comics other than Barry, his mom, and Iris
No mention of Zoom at all. I think evil Barry in the end was supposed to be Reverse Flash or something, but he never gets a name. Seriously there for one minute. I’m not a comics guy, but this movie certainly won’t be selling books. I’m actually glad to know comics aren’t this bad.
This movie was mangled from inception, they had no idea how to do it correctly, because of just plain incompetence, and then the actors..um..problems just made it DOA. It is no secret they did the bare minimum with the effects and released it only because NOT releasing it would cost more. Any money they get from it was a plus for WB. I really do not even get why Zod was the big bad, he is a superman villain. The Flash has very well known villains. They could not even give the Flash his own story in his own movie. It was all just odd. The cameos were way overdone and some were groan worthy. Especially Christopher Reeve. I just do not condone ethically using actor's likenesses of people who passed away who never gave consent to use them. If you want a good Flash story, season 1 on the TV show is basically the best we will get. (and probably an explanation for why the movie just did not do the reverse Flash or Zoom plot, because it was already done better recently on TV).
Aigh, here's the quick review for this video. 1. Story line sucked 2. CGI sucked 3. Acting sucked 4. Wife really hates it Movie sucked. Stop making fun of rich people dying in makeshift submarines! Let that sink in!
Not so much inspired by James Gunn. He's a poor man's Joss Whedon. DC should scrap their plans and sell all the rights to someone who could do it better.
Ezra could have some impact over this movie failure at box office But the biggest culprit was James Gunn and Warner announcing a Reboot to early, rendering all this movies dead from the getgo BlueBettle gonna flop, Aquaman 2 gonna flop, even James Gunn reboot gonna flop because of this out of sync annoucement.
Movies used to use cgi as a last resort if practical effects couldn’t get the job done now unfortunately cgi is the go to and practical effects is now discouraged
The point of a movie is to entertain, it doesn’t necessarily have to go somewhere. This would have been entertaining with a different actor. Still not great but entertaining. While watching it on day of release my eyes caught the cgi I afterwards saw people complaining about, and I attributed it altered vision in the speed dimension, which I later read was the directors intent. It made a mush of things when it was full screen and that was their mistake. The other cgi was fine. Why even employ Ezra Miller? It was obvious to everyone that he was widely disliked, and neither charming or funny. He tanked this movie and the weak story didn’t help. Keaton and Supergirl were cool, but a half hour of good simply cannot salvage from all of the bad.
I hope when gunn intros a flash movie he has reverse flash as a villian then does a better version of this, i wouldnt mind him redoing flashpoint if its better than this.
I thought it was an okay movie. I liked parts of it but it wasn't much as a final movie of a shared universe. I'm really tired of shared universes so for me this is just a good place to quit DC. I'm not gonna watch the new James Gunn DCU because I don't wanna start a whole new shared universe.
My understanding is that Blue Beetle and Aquaman 2 are NOT Gunn movies, but he’s claiming they are good enough to “start” his universe. Then again, he said Flash was amazing, so….
I mostly agree with your review, but... a couple of things definitely made it worse for me: 1) the time travel explaination makes NO SENSE to me, it's completely absurd and terribly illogical nad ruined almost everything for me, since it's the premise of the whole story! 2) Humor almost never lands on me, it seems they're trying so hard to make people laugh, and... nope, it seems too forced to me. It seems they're relying too much on cameos to make the whole stuff good, but no cameo can really save a bad story. I really wanted it to be good, but... nope. It turned out to be just another disappointment. tha's just sad. I'm a bit hopeful for Blue Beetle, but I can't really be optimistic. Still I will go and see it with an open mind.
You’re not wrong, the cameos and time travel couldn’t save what was ultimately a boring story. Time travel and multiverses are just hard to pull off, I haven’t seen it done well yet and maybe it’s just too clumsy of a concept to do well, especially on screen. I’m worried Beetle won’t do well, not because it seems bad, but it seems generic at a time when the market is saturated with super hero movies. Nothing about it stands out enough to draw a crowd
I’ve finished all of your videos and I’ve yet to hear you say a single thing that I disagree with or wouldn’t say myself. You even wear a black shirt like I do to … wait… are you me from another timeline where I’m successful?! Am I…. The dumb Barry?!
You’re the first person I’ve seen explain how events that happened prior to the can of tomatoes changed after Barry’s interference. I missed that explanation in the movie but it still makes 0 sense and it’s still my biggest issue with the movie besides the cgi.
3:32 So I love the video I just want to put a tiny little note on something she murdered multiple soldiers without any hesitation and was not even mentioned probably in the rest of the movie, huh?
Wait is this just mih or...kryptonians are just like humans with nothing special until they encounter the yellow sun. When supergirl came to earth, she got superpowers including a highly durable body and at that point of the movie, zodd probably knows about the "gaining of superpowers thingy" but knows nothing about how to supress it(with kryptonite) so how the hell does he get to stab Supergirl's highly duarble body and take the blood with just a piece of metal/machinery?
Nick Cage actually filmed scenes in The Flash, but they de-aged him and it looked like shit. DC should've never tried to make a live action movie based on the Flashpoint storyline from the comics for the first Flash movie. The animated film Justice League: Flashpoint Paradox is a way better adaption of that storyline.
I actually have no real interest in comic book superheroes movies post Avengers: Endgame due to burn out. Depending on what you count as the first comic book superheroe film (aside from the Batman and Superman movies) the genre is any where from 15 years old (via the Dark Knight and Ironman from 2008) to 25 years old (thanks to Blade) and movie genres have a 15 to 25 years life experience in Hollywood. Yes there are franchises with entries that predate and exist after their genre's time, but it's been all down hill since Endgames, and to pretend otherwise is only going to empty your bank account with nothing to show.
I definitely see the fatigue angle. I also think they are becoming very formulaic and that’s hurting as well. I saw the trailer for Blue Beetle and it looks like a generic superhero movie. They have to bring a new perspective, even if it’s just stylistic, which is why Spiderverse is doing so well in my opinion
Take a massive conglomeration of movie makers. Hollywood. Their track record is at best subpar, but that's O.K. because you only really need to like one movie and then you can buy that movie and the movie stands on its own merits. You don't need anything else. That movie is good. And they've gotta come out with at least one good movie every couple of years, so really, you're set. Now have them create a series of intertwined movies that rely on each other, regardless of how disparate the characters in time, space and tone, but retain the fair to middling hit rate, each of which cost potentially dozens of dollars at a movie theater and at least an hour and a half, probably longer, of your time. So now you HAVE to watch every one, even knowing that almost all of them are going to be stinkers, because if you miss one then you're missing some parts of the story. These companies think this will "trap" you into seeing the movies, but what it actually does is create apathy. I'm not going to see ANY superhero movies anymore because I've already lost the plot. Guardians of the Galaxy 2 sucked, so of course I'm not going to see 3, because even if 3 is good, I'd then only own 1 & 3, breaking the timeline. The only superhero movie I would have any interest in seeing at this point would be Static Shock, and then only if it's directed by Steven Spielberg, Quentin Tarantino or Christopher Nolan. I'm sure that if this movie did get made, the trailer would quickly disabuse me of the interest.
What got me very upset was the way they ended the movie. They ended it as to propose a sequel but there is going to be no sequel and the post credit scene my goodness did they drop the ball. So I was completely out of it when I saw the ending especially after Barry learned his lesson and everything came full circle.
I think the idea was great, but sadly the execution overall was dismal. Ezra Miller was the worst part of this movie, wile Keaton was the best. My head canon, is he lied about being Bruce Wayne, he's actually Thomas Wayne - there was the scene where he touches the portrait, you see his fingers hover on Bruce and Martha in the photo - almost suggesting he is remembering the loss of his wife and son. As for Clooney at the end, my head canon there, its Alfred... I don't like the idea that Bruce Wayne goes through such harrowing changes and we just accept it as, well, different time, he looks different... no no no, to me, the only thing that makes it feel neat, is, okay, we see a timeline where Thomas Wayne becomes Batman, and at the end, a timeline where Alfred became Batman after losing Bruce, Martha and Thomas... I know, that last one is silly, but for me it justifies the actor changes...
It was a great time but the ending was pointless with clooney they could have just left keaton and supergirl ending at least we saw keaton alive not dead Can't barry just go back and erase Clooney anyway
More people need to hear this! Hollywood has nothing on the games industry in terms of story or visuals. They are on par with treating these movies like a live service, however. “Watch Blue Beetle and here’s a our roadmap for the future DLC of the franchise”. Ugh.
I'd give this a 7 out of 10 myself. I don't really care about CGI that much, honestly. I did think it looked bad, but...I think Age of Ultron looked just as bad.
@@gregowen2022 There is so much love for Keaton and Burton that I think we will get a huge turn out…and it would be smart for Disney to lock him into more Vulture in MCU
Honestly, can't agree with you here mate. I really enjoyed this film - despite expecting to hate it. I've been a DC fan for over 40 years, and I know the animated version of the Flashpoint story is much better. But... Miller was solid in the dual role ( despite being awful in real life) and he really highlighted how annoying his younger self was, there was tons of nonsense but it was still fun. This film's purpose was to be entertaining... And it was. Sure there's no follow up, and it leans into Easter eggs and nostalgia, and if you think even a little bit, it doesn't make sense. Didn't care about the CGI, as I grew up in a time long before CGI was a thing. The fact that Flash could not save the world was great, and kind of brave. The ending was a bit weak, but I still had a ton of fun with the film. Cheers
I’m glad you had a good time with it! There were definitely high points, but overall it didn’t hit the mark for me, but that’s ok. I am excited to see where Gunn takes things from here.
The problem with Barry Allen (all incarnations) is that he's not a man. If someone told me, "If you don't let your mother die the universe will be destroyed," I'd just shrug and say, "Fuck the universe."
the CGI special effect of this movie is nightmare fuel, like dead babies crap....for a movie sit on shelf over $200 Mil, it look worse than Deadpool which cost less than half of that. The ending also rush and stupid, like ok so Barry got is Dad out Jail IN ANOTHER CLOONEY UNIVERSE, meaning his dad from his universe still in jail.

Thank you! Will do!

No I didn’t feel Ezra was a good actor. Not compared to Grant Gustin and John Wesley Shipp who both played Barry Allen better.
How did you like Ruby Gilman?? I’m debating going to see it 😊
I’m afraid between the three, it’s like trying to pick up a turd by the clean side. I’ve seen all three and as for the animated ones, I’ve come to expect movies from those studios that are deeper and appeal to a whole family. Both were decidedly made just for kids.
"He wont do it again" *Immediately changes the future by making his dad look up*
I like how you said it ended in the same spot it started yet you explained that it was completely different 😂
“The movie [The Flash] was very successful and good.” - Chris Stuckmann, 2023
When they showing the young Barry making his suit swear to go the reveal was gonna be man ray from sponge bob for a second! Lol
As soon as i saw that they let Predator Flash near children i checked out. I couldn't forget Millers crimes 🤷🏾♂️
I really appreciate that! It’s been a great year already and I’m hoping for even more
I was getting bored watching the movie as well.
I see it moving forward so fast, that it goes backwards
"Double espresso for Brexley" 😂 as a big Flash comcis fan, I was pretty bummed out by this movie. The near disregard for Flash characters and villains in his debut feature film was unforgivable to me.
That was hilarious
Fortunately this universe is dead and we can write this off as non-canon. Here’s hoping they pull some lessons from this wreckage for the next Flash
Seeing Keaton as Batman again wac my purpose. Loved it
I feel like I couldn't watch it, mostly because of Ezra Miller being a monster in real life lol
Haha, wish granted!
6:34 Funny how when you said that Miguel O'Hara's theme song played in my head immediately
Just shows how good that movie was
(Post video watch) I like the perspective you brought.
I like that he has a consolidated plan. The DCU has always felt disconnected, so I’m excited to see what he has planned

Batman, Superman, WonderWoman, Aquaman every one in this movies was epic and George Clooney omg😮
Guy in a supersuit starts a cinematic universe. Where have i seen that before?
Can someone go back in time and prevent the movie from being made? It can happen --- right?
No, it needs to stay. We need this thing as a reminder of what NOT to do
The movie was decent at best but knowing what the main actor did and the horrible visuals ruined everything
1. Story line sucked
2. CGI sucked
3. Acting sucked
4. Wife really hates it
Movie sucked. Stop making fun of rich people dying in makeshift submarines! Let that sink in!
Watch them try to make an animated cartoon version remake of the Justice League. Call it Justice League: GO and see how that turns out.😂
Not so much inspired by James Gunn. He's a poor man's Joss Whedon. DC should scrap their plans and sell all the rights to someone who could do it better.
We’ll have to see. I just hope he doesn’t bring the MCU to the DCU. For his faults, at least Snyder was trying to be different
Remember Ezra Millers the flash isn't running back in time to save his mom
He's running back in time to make sure all the females he touched were 18
The cgi was bad because most of their budget went to dealing with Ezra Miller drama 😜
Ezra could have some impact over this movie failure at box office
But the biggest culprit was James Gunn and Warner announcing a Reboot to early, rendering all this movies dead from the getgo
BlueBettle gonna flop, Aquaman 2 gonna flop, even James Gunn reboot gonna flop because of this out of sync annoucement.
Agreed. Why would audiences show up for a hero universe movie with no universe? They hamstrung it with that announcement
Barry just learned the lesson from watching the Wonder Woman 1984 movie: let it go...
8:40 heck he'd probably bring his own super suit
Haha, you know he owns several!
Boy, sure glad we kicked out Snyder for this. Such an improvement.
How were the Batfleck action scenes? The clips from the trailers look pretty exciting.
Really good. Rent this one, watch that opening bit with Batfleck and the babies and then turn it off, lol
@@gregowen2022 Haha! Thanks for the tip! 😂😂
IS Blue Beetle the official start of the 'Gunn-iverse', or are they just saying that so as not to affect sales of yet another pre-Gunn movie?
My understanding is that Blue Beetle and Aquaman 2 are NOT Gunn movies, but he’s claiming they are good enough to “start” his universe. Then again, he said Flash was amazing, so….
I mostly agree with your review, but... a couple of things definitely made it worse for me:
1) the time travel explaination makes NO SENSE to me, it's completely absurd and terribly illogical nad ruined almost everything for me, since it's the premise of the whole story!
It admire new time-travel dynamics if they are explored. This one was just so they can have Michael Keaton. No other reason.
I’ve finished all of your videos and I’ve yet to hear you say a single thing that I disagree with or wouldn’t say myself. You even wear a black shirt like I do to … wait… are you me from another timeline where I’m successful?! Am I…. The dumb Barry?!
Haha, I’m glad you like them!
Neither of us is Barry, don’t say mean things! We are different versions of Bruce!
Marvel totally did the “unchangeable moment in time” thing first
You’re the first person I’ve seen explain how events that happened prior to the can of tomatoes changed after Barry’s interference.
Only one of a million unanswered questions. How did supergirl even get captured at all? Both she and Zod were such afterthoughts for the movie
Ezra Miller was a foil for better actors. I hope to never hear from him again. Also. I hope Sasha Calle's career recovers.
It does have purpose...it was entertaining
The ONLY good thing is Michael Keaton And Sasha Calle's Supergirl... She should have a stand alone film.
"Brexley"!!!!! 🤣😆🤣😆
I sense that you are not going to be our little secret pretty soon.
Good for the channel. Good for you. Kind of a melancholy time though.
Honestly, the commenting is one of my favorite bits of this and I am a bit melancholy at the thought of being too busy to engage as much.
I want to believe the ending was supposed to be better, but yeah this movie was hamstrung by WBs pivot. Fingers crossed it gets better going forward
@@gregowen2022 well that's why the original DCU is dead now rip Syderverse
I mean of course video games have better CGI. It's a triple AAA game's whole thing. They have been better in games for a while :P
I enjoyed seeing Keaton in the suit, but I love me some Keaton regardless
Fully agree, there's never a wrong time for Keaton. Do you think he will be enough to get people into Beetlejuice this weekend?
@@gregowen2022
There is so much love for Keaton and Burton that I think we will get a huge turn out…and it would be smart for Disney to lock him into more Vulture in MCU
I feel bad for your sanity Greg
So, you're saying this movie about a speedster (or two?) Is too slow?
The problem with Barry Allen (all incarnations) is that he's not a man.
If someone told me, "If you don't let your mother die the universe will be destroyed," I'd just shrug and say, "Fuck the universe."
Sort of like the story “by his bootstraps” by Robert heinlein
the CGI special effect of this movie is nightmare fuel, like dead babies crap....for a movie sit on shelf over $200 Mil, it look worse than Deadpool which cost less than half of that. The ending also rush and stupid, like ok so Barry got is Dad out Jail IN ANOTHER CLOONEY UNIVERSE, meaning his dad from his universe still in jail.
Those babies looked like actual dolls. The scene was silly and funny, but man those visuals were awful.
Idk man, I enjoyed the movie. Miller with Miller really worked.
Genuinely, I’m glad you enjoyed it!
This movie marketing was at the max with Tom cruise and look at this
The entire month of June just shows that all the marketing in the world isn’t going to fill seats for garbage movies
I still dont know why DC CGI looks so bad against Marvel even after sutch long time. Especially whan DC movies sometimes cost more than Marvel.
I wish MCU or DCU turned things over to Christopher Nolan. Now there’s a man who despises CGI. #BringBackPracticalEffects
