I love my city. Don't let the crime reporting stop you from visiting or moving here. Crime in the city unfortunately is a pretty segregated thing. You could live here your whole life and never see anything bad. The city has everything, you can do everything, everyplace you want to go is accessible by public trans.
I'll be moving to chicago in 2021, after I graduate from college, I have visited and loved it! I'm moving from florida so yes, quite a change. Cost of living is about the same, cant wait to start looking for jobs and a place to live. Any pointers from someone would be greatly appreciated!
@@eken1725 well unfortunately I had to come back to naples, put my place for rent in Chicago, holding out in Florida until life somewhat goes back to normal
In 2 years me and my sister is planning on moving to Chicago. I came to Chicago during May. It was so cold, but it was so beautiful. I went to a concert and everyone was so nice. The first night my dad, sister and I got lost in the subway and it was kinda of scary. It was late at night. I want to transfer to college up there but I'm kinda of nervous. My dad is of course against it, but where I live there is no job opportunities.
Your vids are great! I’m from Detroit, moved to L.A., Portland, Seattle, Las Vegas & rural areas of California.. that being said it feels like Chicago will be perfect.. it’s far from family but not toooo far. Subscribed!
Awesome. Thank for checking it out man! I haven't spent nearly enough time out west. That's sorta next for me to explore.I really have enjoyed my visits to California but I've never been to any of those other cities you named. They are all on my list though! I hear such awesome stuff about Portland, Seattle and Las Vegas.
@@Thee_Magicalnista & Shad. I'm moving from South Carolina to go to grad school in Detroit and prayerfully afterwards I will head to Chicago. I can't wait! 💕 Hope everything work out for you guys!
Chicago is cool, it’s definitely a unique city. I laugh when someone says that the only reason someone would move to Los Angeles is for the weather. I’m a west coast lifer, and while I couldn’t do your winters. We have a lot of advantages. I’m sorry while it’s a different kind of beauty in its own right , Lake Michigan has nothing on the California coast.
I don’t know anyone who chooses where they live based solely on taxes. If you make enough, I don’t think the taxes are that bad here and not needing to drive saves a lot.
I will be doing a whole series on that! It's a lot harder to do than people realize as each neighborhood is very diverse I'd like to do more than just stereotype the people or reputation of each. Thanks for watching!
I'm moving to Chicago... Its been on my Heart heavy
Awesome. Good look with everything. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions. Thanks for watching!
@@StevenRussellB thanks I'm cite seeing I have a job opportunity there so its in the northwest part of Illinois. Thank you so much
Omg same!
I’m moving as well. Moving in 2 weeks to Irving Park.
I’m from Chicago.. I hope y’all have much success here. Good luck.🍀

Wow watching this video is kinda weird since I was born and raised here and I still live here
Madelyn Johnston interesting. Why do you say weird?
I’m just saying it’s weird because it’s ironic about why I would be watching a video about moving to Chicago when I live here
I moved from Chicago 20 years ago and I agree Chicago is awesome don't let the negative effects confuse you

Lyft is cheaper than Uber and also in Chicago there's Via, the cheapest! I'll be visiting Chicago in June :)

Cool video!
I want to live here a few years after I move out.
Many people leave Illinois and Chicago because of high taxes. Is it that horrible?
It's pretty expensive in that way ya. It's all relative though. Thanks for checking out my channel!

I’d like to live in Chicago after I graduate college.
Do you still feel the same today? I currently live in NYC and I'm considering moving to CHI.
Easy to find cheap eats/booze out the neighborhoods. Go west or south of the Loop.
Can you do a video on some of the Chicago neighborhoods?

Sounds great 👍
