Tony, I am wondering if I can do data logging with this device and PC software? I need to measure battery voltage, at a constant load and graph it to an excel or CSV file? For example, how long it will take a 1.5v cell to reach 1.1v?
Hi! Thanks for the video! I have several different power stations, I wanted to test them with DL24 through the USB-C cord, the load tester stops at 15.9W+. What's interesting is that when I load the stations through the same port and cord, but with a laptop, 70-90W goes smoothly. I can't understand what the problem is and how to load the stations through the type-c port using DL24 more than 15.9W?
Can I use it as simple electronics load to measure current through 24v coil? And can I set different load current values like 1A, 2A etc in sequence with time.
Hi, yes it works very nice as a normal load, directly on the front controls, i think with the computer software you can also program different loads and run that later, but i have not tried that yet.
I have an older version that is more difficult to use so again you helped me spend some $$, Tony! I had been wanting one where I could track the capacity . So many batteries are mis labeled anymore. Have you tried any 26650 types yet?
Very interesting video, Tony. Did you check the accuracy of the load - amps and volts - to see how accurate its measurements are? It looks like good value for money if the accuracy is reasonable. Thank you for showing it to us. Regards, David
Thanks David, that's the cool thing, you can just calibrate it from its menu, just apply a calibrated voltage and done, same for current .. i love the simplicity.
Hi first try to reset it to default, there is an option in the menu, just to be sure there is no unexpected CC CV CP setting. 2nd if the device is powered with an USB-DC plug, remove the USB-DC adapter and power it with 12V 1A directlt on the DCplug. if it still does not work correct contact your seller.
Dank je, ja erg blij mee, zeker om batterijen te testen, dat duurt erg lang, dan neem ik deze mee naar beneden voor een lange test hoeft niet het hele lab aan te staan.
This is actually a very nice electronic load and seems quite easy to set up! The software seems to work better and more intuitive than what comes with the Siglent loads (which is not hard because that is utter crap).
Thanks, good timing. I ordered the 180W version a few days ago.
Perfect! yes they are nice, good pick!
PRO TIP! if u click left and right button u reset the stored values, it save lot of time
Thanks, great!
Hi Tony, in the video, you put the cut off voltage 0.8v, is there any guideline for this parameter? I'm testing on 18650 li-ion batteries.
Hi, i mention that in the video, its not exact sience

Yes it can do that, its actualy very amazing cheap machine.

the usb-c is for computer connection. there is an adapter available tho connect usb to the load port

Hi Jim...oh no, not agian..LOL yes the new design has improved a lot. aspecialy the software. That battery i still need to try.

There is better alternative pc software to do logs using atorch dl24p
Hi, not sure, but i don't have any other, i just checked.
Discharging a D cell @ 50mA would take approximately 40 hours!
Correct, some high capacity batteries are made for slow discharge.. and is that not the whole point for some batteries.. 5 years or more for some.
Hello, I have a problem, max current is mas 1.9A and never, never goes higher.
I have a 180W version.
I tryed 4mm2 cables and no succes.

@@TonyAlbus thanks you very much! The problem solved!
My source was 6V only and when I changed to 12V, works well.😊
But... I dont underestand why...
@@nick_Pletron you need the 12 Volts.. for the FETs to open fully when needed
@@TonyAlbus thanks!
Hey Tony! Ik gebruik al een tijdje een voorloper van deze electronic load, in een 300W versie. Heel tevreden mee. Goeie review.

Nice video Tony thx
Thanks!
Where is the PC software downloaded from?
Hi Bob, i left a download link in the video description for you.

Thanks! , Yes very easy to operate (good becouse the manual is so small.....) Siglent i will find out later :)
The cellphone must have GPS/location turned on
Yes thats what the manual says. maybe its for Android as for my iphone i just connected with BT
u've got a very disturbing voice
Thank you, your feed back well help us to improve the channel.
When I hear his voice I know its time to watch the full video, listen, and pay attention. Tony always has great content.
