408 and a torque storm is like the ultimate small block, I built a 9.5 to 1 408 with 882 heads 2.02 valves 1.96 ex valves domed pistons comp hyd. Flat off-road/tow cam if I recall.500 lift at 219-221 degrees about. Had a z28 aluminum intake qjet and sock manifolds it passed cali smog in the 78 c10 and made 418 torque and 389 hp to the wheels. I’m sure this one is north of 550-600 and make good torque across the rpm range

Engine is a 10.5-1 406 AFR CNC ported race ready heads with 2.10 1.60 valves. Edelbrock .510 cam. Dual Plane air gap intake. CSU carb on E85 and Aeromotive fuel system. Street tuned with and A/F meter. Never had it on the dyno, Kevin at CSU said it should make 550 to 600. Very mild mannered to drive until you start to get into it.

Plenty of HP.More then enough for the street.I just like the TORQUE.I love my 406 sbc.Torque is nice but A big block wow now we are talking.I am curious to feel the Torque provided with the power adder.

I don't recall the exact specs, but it's an edelbrock hydraulic flat tappet. Something like 510 lift with roller rockers.
