Thanks David... As an amateur, I confess, I didn't even know anything like this existed. 😮😮😮 Yet it makes so much sense. A little mind blown at how this changes how you interact with the workstation. I can't believe this is the first time I'm seeing something like this. Terrific!
Yeah, it’s hard to explain to someone that doesn’t play a musical instrument, but once your fingers get dialed in, you can run it without looking at all. Love the Tourbox setup too, that thing is dope!
Highly appreciate this quick little overview, thanks. Just ordered mine, and the 3-month CC membership is such a great value bonus for those of us that are paying for the entire suite. They're also throwing in a nice looking travel backpack at the moment. Looking forward to getting my hands on this and constantly tweaking it, hahaha!!
Im actually setting mine up. It's great so far, and I was shocked that we get the 3 months free of Adobe CC, and my order also came with a backpack (that I won't use, but still). So definitely a no brainer to pick this up!
Overall it looks like a nice product. However i've got one major problem with it: mousewheels exist (and somehow it feels like everyone forgets they do). In the end, most of the functionalities can be done with keyboard and mouse just fine. In case you want some more control, it's still possible to get a gaming mouse with extra keys (i really miss the Logitech G600 with 12 thumb keys and one key for the ring finger, but there are enough other similar mice) and a gaming keyboard (to customize or rebind keys based on the currently active program). you can easily rebind either the F#-keys or the numpad ones, and there's even options with additional macro-keys e.g. to the left of the keyboard. Total cost would be around 100€ here (if i'm sticking to the brand of my choice, others could even be less, idk), and that's considering you have a keyboard and mouse included in that cost. You get 12 keys for the thumb (mouse) and a 100% layout keyboard (dedicated F#-keys, numpad and 6 macro keys to the left), so if you're willing to "sacrifice" all the mentioned keys, that could give you 47 keys you can use for keybinds, opening application or using typical keys (e.g. arrows) on the mouse, while also having a dial though the mouse wheel (and technically most mouses have additional keys behind the mouse wheel which you could use to switch between profiles to get the same functionality as switching pages). The console only gives you 2 dials and around 13-ish keys, making it around as flexible as my mouse (i paid 48€ for it). The only 2 benefits of a console or deck are the keys have lcd-displays (although if you use the programs enough, you wont look at the keys anyways) and the possibility to install custom setups instead of needing to do all the work on your own. It's a nice gimmick, but sadly it's very far from unique in it's function.
Totally understand that you can reprogram your keyboard to do some of these tasks similarly, but this is by far a better way to do it, especially with the LCD screens that tell you what the button you're pressing does. A few other pretty sweet screens that I've setup are text inputs. I made a whole screen (9 buttons) different text inputs that I repeatedly have to type. My email address, phone number, mailing address, a few generic responses for text messages. All just a single button press on the Creative Console. Again, you can totally do similar things in other ways, but to have this sitting next to your keyboard is next level and if you're an Adobe Creative Cloud subscriber, you're looking at shelling out an extra $20🙌
True, but I love my current mouse (which I also have programmed to help with LR and Photo Mechanic), but the hardware you're talking about costs at least as much as this, and this is smaller and portable and I can take it to work remotely with a laptop w/o dragging a full-size keyboard with me. It's no more gimmicky than a "gaming keyboard".
@@markkempton4579 at least here i can get the two mentioned parts for about half the price of the console, and even ignoring the keyboard, even the mouse alone has 12 buttons + mouse wheel and costs less than 50€ (vs 230€ for the console). and you can't tell me a gaming mouse is bulkier to use comparedd to having a mouse AND two additional pieces. And please explain to me what you think is "gimmicky" about a gaming keyboard. It's just a keyboard except you get software support to remap keys and background lighting. Sure, some fancier ones might have additional features, but thats not the ones we're talking about. And if you mean that using a keyboard additional to a laptop is "gimmicky", thats another pair of shoes.
I’ve used a Contour wheel, and I’ve used the mouse wheel. There’s no comparison. On top of that, Adobe changed it so that the mouse wheel in Premiere isn’t scrub anymore (which I use daily) it’s zooming the monitor window (which I use maybe three times in two weeks).

It looks like a jack of all trades but master of none style device. I use the Loupedeck in Lightroom and personally I think it’s unbeatable for mass editing like weddings. I’d like to see Logitech upgrade the Loupedeck plus at some stage in the future for Lightroom classic users.
Thank you for sharing this. I have held off on a Loupe Deck and feel like this might be a better fit. I only subscribe to the Adobe photo package, but I'd happily take the free three months of the full suite as there is some Illustrator work I'd like to do.
Had a loupedeck CT. Several buttons and dials broke. They offered me 70 dollars off a new one. No repair option. I even tried to get the parts to solder in myself. Hard no. Crap customer service. Never again. Excited for this creative console.
I’m getting one. We have Adobe suite but we pay $39 a month with an educators discount. $19 a month for the first year. If you’re an education, it’s worth subscribing.
That would be super dope to add a row of these LCDs onto a Logitech keyboard! I'm pretty in love with my MX mechanical keyboard though, so sweet that you can pop them next to any keyboard you choose
The most important question is: Does the large dial have instant response to when you turn it and when the slider you set it to move on screen moves? Is it smooth and does it feel as quick as a mouse. Because i had that Loupedeck CT and as cool as the device looks there was a deal breaking lag in the all of the dials and the software that it make it completely useless to use. Would love to use one of these tools if they actually were spot on acurate and fast
I Use Loupedeck CT and there is absolutely no lag. It is instant. And Loupedck CT is way way way more powerful than this Logitech stuff. Loupedeck CT allows you to assign a button for each slider. Having only one button and having to hover over the slider to determine which one will be assigned is of very very little interest...
The buttons on the keypad correspond to the tools in Lightroom. You put the keypad on the left side of your keyboard and the dial on the right side of your keyboard. Your left hand taps which slider. you want to adjust, then your right hand adjusts the dial. It's an insanely fast way to edit
@@DavidManningvlog Hello David. With this system you must first select the tool, so click once on a button (or 3 clicks if your tool is on page 2) THEN turn the button. On Loupedeck CT, you don't have to select first. You turn one of the 6 notched rotary buttons (you can adjust the granularity of the rotation) and Lightroom instantly adjusts and incidentally opens the corresponding right section on the software. You can therefore switch from contrast to "highlights" for example, instantly without selecting anything. In fact, you can even adjust both at the same time... The large rotary button (without notches) allows you to act on a 7th setting. It has a central touch screen on which you can program up to 4 actions, and swipe it to access other "pages" of settings The 6 rotary buttons can also be pushed for example to reset the setting to zero. we also have a touch screen with 12 buttons that can be swiped to access another page. A new page brings 12 other buttons and 6 other rotary settings. In addition to all that we have a series of 8 programmable push buttons too Not to mention the permanent buttons: validate, return, cancel, save show the keyboard, two function buttons that "double" the keyboard, left arrow right arrow left arrow up arrow down To summarize we can act simultaneously and without having to select anything, on 7 lightroom settings simultaneously. As for me I use it with my left hand, which leaves my right hand free, to possibly touch the mouse or the keyboard. And I do not leave the right panel of the software open. I go "by eye" while looking only at my photo and not the cursors on the software (or the buttons on the deck). We can program any parameter in any Lighroom module. LR adapts to actions on the loupedeck and if you do actions with the mouse in LR, Loupedeck switches according to what you have just done with the mouse. And of course Loupedeck also adjusts to any software change (instantly). A click on the Finder (for example) and Loupedeck displays the settings page for the finder, then returns to Lightroom as soon as you click in the LR window Concrete example: if I want to "horizontalize" the sea in a series of 30 seascape photos, I will do everything with Loupedeck CT only in a few seconds, without touching the mouse or the keyboard: the big central button performs the rotation and the arrows allow you to move on to the next photo. On the screen of the central button, I have programmed a "return to zero" of the rotation. Of course for each photo, there are still the 6 other rotary buttons to make adjustments. And the touch buttons allow you to copy and paste a setting from one photo to another or apply a Lightroom preset. So yes, the Logitech provides a little help with editing, but it is absolutely incomparable with Loupedeck CT, which remains by far the best productivity tool for Lightroom (and for any other software in fact). I would even go so far as to say that I "make money" with it ;)
You're going to be very stoked once you get it dialed in! I've been doing even more since making this video to speed things up and it's becoming more and more essential for me!
I cant seem to find anyone talking about the quality of the buttons. How is it? Do the dials and buttons feel solid? My biggest turn off with the original loop deck was how plastic and cheap everything felt. For a dedicated physical button device that costs so much, i was so surprised with how cheap it felt. Im leaning towards this because of the split design to sit next to my keyboard and also the quality LOOKS better.. but is it..
Now that I have an entire page of keys setup for text input, I'm using it a hundred times a day. Basics like my email address and phone number as text inputs, but also some common responses to text messages and comments on here. SUPER helpful🙌
[serious questions] After watching the video does it change your opinion on your existing setup? Do you feel like this Logitech version would speed up and streamline your workflow. This looks like a more compact - cleaner version of Loupdeck CT.
Is the 3 month Adobe Creative Cloud credit a dollar amount or 3 months all app credit. Trying to figure out what happens if you have a lower priced subscription (i.e. student subscription or the photography plan) and redeem the code?
Unfortunately, I think it's a month credit system. So you get the most value by having one of the higher tier Adobe Subscriptions, but still get value for any subscription you have
Man, the amount of tears in the comment section is nuts. People are angry at this guy because they can't afford $200 upfront, even though they get most of it back. Thanks for the video, man. Multiple guys in my studio will be getting these now. Cheers.
Here in Australia my local store has a pre-order offer where you get a free MX Master 3S mouse with Creative Console, and still get the 3 months free Adobe which I already pay for - such an insanely good deal haha. *edit: oh and it's a tax write off 😅
It will work with any program that you setup and they'll be adding profiles for new apps constantly, but at launch they only have the Adobe Suite of apps as profiles you can easily select and they have presets for. Again though, you can create and setup anything!
@@DavidManningvlog I'm an Adobe subscriber (Lightroom +1TB) and pay 10$ a month. How can I get an equivalent of 180$ with only 3 month free ? Sorry but your title is 100% wrong 👎
Yeah, I knew the $20 was too good to be true. I pay for my Adobe annually and with discounts I’m paying less than $25 a month, so not so good a deal. I would have been more impressed if you actually got it for $20 if you were just an Adobe subscriber. Gimmick marketing for sure.
How are you getting the Adobe Suite for $25 a month? Even if you pay in full for the annual subscription, it's $55 a month. Tell me your wizardry! I want cheaper Adobe!
I'm sure I could contact Adobe support, but seems quicker to ask you given your claim: I'm a creative cloud subscriber for years. How do you get 3 months free when you're already paying for it? Adobe recognizes some code you provide after purchase and doesn't charge you the normal rate for three months? If so this is a no brainer. If I'm misunderstanding and the 3 months free is to get you to sign up than I'd reconsider, although $200 for any professional tool is a rounding error.
You're exactly correct. They credit your account three months with the code you receive when purchasing the MX Creative Console. So you'll be out an extra $20 over the next three months and have a very dope new tool for your digital workflow👍
Yeah, I’ll say that the $500 for the Loupedeck CT was a lot, but totally changed how fast I was able to edit and interact with my programs. For $200 it’s a steal and yeah, if you’re an Adobe subscriber, an extra $20 for this is an absolute no brainer!
Why aren't you mentioning the absolute HELL anyone not at that level will end up dealing with when they try to unsubscribe after the three months. Your credibility just went the final circle down the toilet, dude.
For everyone that's paying $60 per month for the Adobe Creative Suite, they will literally spend an extra $20 to get the MX Creative Console. No catch 😘👍
honestly i dont mind the catch too much. But man 67€ per month is a f'ing ripoff for anyone not using it professionally, and then again, professionals might not care as much about the 201€ saved. As an "average consumer" i'd rather buy some more gear or anything than spending 804€ *per year* on the adobe creative account. Just thinking of it, that's roughly the equal to a (insert 800€ lens of your choice, e.g. the RF 800mm F/11 in my case), or 2-3 action cams or up to 4 drones (the DJI neo being probably the cheapest beginner drone at 200€)... every. single. year. For me personally there's just not a single benefit to justify that price over simply using open-source alternatives.
Yeah, the subscription model has been a brutal shift for companies! I would much rather just buy a program once and own it, but as a professional, I need Photoshop and Lightroom for my work. So I’m sort of locked in😑
I’ve just checked it out and it’s only one month for Creative Cloud all apps and two months for the photography app, must’ve been too many folk trying to grab it 🤷
Yeah, but what is the better choice for Lightroom and Photoshop? I think the other video editing options that are out there are pretty legit, but it's hard to beat that Lightroom/Photoshop combo
I’ve sent mine back. It’s way too buggy and feels like a beta product. Of course, it will improve over time, but if it comes out of the box feeling unfinished, then I don’t want it. As Marques always says: Never. Ever. Buy a tech product based on the promise of future software updates!
Yep! If I owe another dude, $180 and you come along and say, “Gimme $200 for this thing and you don’t have to give that other guy $180” then I’m out an extra $20👍
@@DavidManningvlog All jokes aside. I love your videos and my wife is a photographer. I sent this to her as it’s her busy time of the year. I’d buy it for 500 bucks if it will help her. Keep up the good work.
This is an odd comment. If you're an Adobe subscriber you will pay Adobe $180 over the next three months. If you buy this for $200, then they'll pay the $180 for you. So you've spent $20 more than normal. The title is literally what happens👍
1st: Capture One has speed edit, you press a key on your keyboard and drag your mouse. Side to side for one option or up and down for another option. Stupid to spend another 200$ for a box with buttons. 2nd: Your Video is the biggest Clickbait I‘ve stubled across so far. Absolutely insane 😂 People may get 3 months off but they still spend 200$. 3rd. You are trying to sell instead to teach or share. Maybe think about it. You are harming a lot of young photographers like that.
1) That's only for Capture One. This is for all Apps 2) For people that are spending $60 per month, they'll get a $180 credit and literally pay $20 for this👍 3) Sharing something that I've used for years with Loupedeck and now what I'm using currently. If you've ever used Loupedeck, you'll know that this is a huge win for photographers 🙌
Looks Amazing for the pros… If I were not living on the road I would get one of those… I am not even a really at a hobbyist level yet and some of the laborious workflow issues really keep me from doing more when so much of the systems seem set up to make things harder for no good reason.... Simple example: Culling photos on my old PC I could scroll through them with the mouse or arrow keys and delete with just the delete key. Now with the Mac I have to hit COM/Del and that means lifting my hand ever photo or a really uncomfortable hand placement. I can kind of use my thumb on the arrows however years of hard work and the thumb is not as quick or agile as the fingers. WTF do I need to hit 2 keys to delete something that only goes to the trash bin anyway? Put your right hand you mouse reach across your MacBook with your left to hit the Del/Com with one had without bumping the pad? Why make things harder? Apple has a ton of little things that are just made more complex for what good reason?
For those who want to skip the click bait: If you buy this $200 accessory you get 3 months ($180) of credit for your Adobe CC subscription.
Hahahhaaa! You my friend need to look up the definition of click bait😂

I have and use the awesome Loupedeck CT so do i need this?
[serious questions] After watching the video does it change your opinion on your existing setup? Do you feel like this Logitech version would speed up and streamline your workflow. This looks like a more compact - cleaner version of Loupdeck CT.
my only conundrum is do i get white or black?
thanks for sharing!
can you remap it for FCPX??
Yep! They're launching with Adobe apps, but you can customize it to any app OR wait until they release a profile for each app on the marketplace
Cheers.
Hahhaha I appreciate you brother! 🤣
Here in Australia my local store has a pre-order offer where you get a free MX Master 3S mouse with Creative Console, and still get the 3 months free Adobe which I already pay for - such an insanely good deal haha.
*edit: oh and it's a tax write off 😅
wow
I had to give up my Adobe subscription. Can’t afford it any more (bills). Wonder if it would work on Affinity or PhotoPea and Davinci Resolve.
It will work with any program that you setup and they'll be adding profiles for new apps constantly, but at launch they only have the Adobe Suite of apps as profiles you can easily select and they have presets for. Again though, you can create and setup anything!
pff. such a clickbait :( unsubscribe!
Hahhaa The title is 100% accurate👍
@@DavidManningvlog I'm an Adobe subscriber (Lightroom +1TB) and pay 10$ a month. How can I get an equivalent of 180$ with only 3 month free ? Sorry but your title is 100% wrong 👎
This isn't click bait guys, at the 10:50 mark, it's there in red, green, and white. The $180 is a rebate offer.
I pay $28/mo for Adobe CC so I’m saving under $90 but it’s still a good deal I suppose.
@@levitafoya I pay $15 for suite with a student discount.... its click bait for sure
@@DavidManningvlog is there a way to private message you?
I put in for the student discount and pay $20 a month.
@@justinjaeger5267 this lol
I thought everyone was abandoning the Adobe ship.
I hope it can support iPad Pro m4
Since you don't need it anymore, I'll take your Loupdeck off your hands for $20. That's doubling your money! 😆
Well that's a hell of a deal!🤣
🤣
This reminds me of when you could get a free Speed Editor when you bought a Davinci Resolve Studio license. If you are paying for it anyway, why not?
Yeah, I’ll say that the $500 for the Loupedeck CT was a lot, but totally changed how fast I was able to edit and interact with my programs. For $200 it’s a steal and yeah, if you’re an Adobe subscriber, an extra $20 for this is an absolute no brainer!
125 bucks if you're on the educational Adobe subscription... gonna have to think about this one hmmm
Damn, that educational Adobe is way cheaper!
I’m trying to talk myself out of making an impulse purchase and YOU’RE NOT HELPING!
get a stream deck it has more buttons
Why aren't you mentioning the absolute HELL anyone not at that level will end up dealing with when they try to unsubscribe after the three months. Your credibility just went the final circle down the toilet, dude.
Hell unsubscribing to Adobe?
@@DavidManningvlog yes!
@@DavidManningvlogin this case he’s right adobe has been federally called to question for their impossible unsubscribing loop. It’s sad really.
if you're spending 60 a month on creative suite you need to call your adobe rep.
I think I need to GET an Adobe rep!
Weird seeing you in a jacket being used to the summertime
The weather has been shifting like crazy in San Diego lately!
First Bishes!!!!
HEY OHHHHH!!!!
10:52 yeah ... I knew there'd be a catch to the fake "get this for $20" thing. There's always a catch with TH-cam sellouts ...
So I’m sort of locked in😑
I’ve just checked it out and it’s only one month for Creative Cloud all apps and two months for the photography app, must’ve been too many folk trying to grab it 🤷
How do you get it for $200? Logitech has it for $600 on their site.
It's worth not taking that deal just to ditch Adobe.
That's not correct
Actual
Fake discount you’re still paying $200 for it. It’s not 20 bucks.
You're getting $180 back from not paying for Adobe. It's $20👍
Nein danke ! Geht viel einfacher und billiger mit BehringerX-Touch Mini und dem Tool Midi2LR
TH-camr math?
Yep! If I owe another dude, $180 and you come along and say, “Gimme $200 for this thing and you don’t have to give that other guy $180” then I’m out an extra $20👍
@@DavidManningvlog
All jokes aside. I love your videos and my wife is a photographer. I sent this to her as it’s her busy time of the year. I’d buy it for 500 bucks if it will help her. Keep up the good work.
Clickbait…..
This is an odd comment. If you're an Adobe subscriber you will pay Adobe $180 over the next three months. If you buy this for $200, then they'll pay the $180 for you. So you've spent $20 more than normal. The title is literally what happens👍
solid clickbait
1st: Capture One has speed edit, you press a key on your keyboard and drag your mouse. Side to side for one option or up and down for another option. Stupid to spend another 200$ for a box with buttons.
2nd: Your Video is the biggest Clickbait I‘ve stubled across so far.
Absolutely insane 😂 People may get 3 months off but they still spend 200$.
3rd. You are trying to sell instead to teach or share. Maybe think about it. You are harming a lot of young photographers like that.
1) That's only for Capture One. This is for all Apps
2) For people that are spending $60 per month, they'll get a $180 credit and literally pay $20 for this👍
3) Sharing something that I've used for years with Loupedeck and now what I'm using currently. If you've ever used Loupedeck, you'll know that this is a huge win for photographers 🙌
Not subscribing to your clickbait.
Hahaa explain how that title isn't true?
Scammer content.
How so?
shill
🤣🤣🤣
Looks Amazing for the pros…
If I were not living on the road I would get one of those…
I am not even a really at a hobbyist level yet and some of the laborious workflow issues really keep me from doing more when so much of the systems seem set up to make things harder for no good reason....
Simple example:
Culling photos on my old PC I could scroll through them with the mouse or arrow keys and delete with just the delete key.
