Firstly thank you for having Me and I'll keep doing my best♥️♥️♥️♥️
Secondly here's a list of things I'd like to mention:
    1) Menu: (referring to comments that want different items, why there's no South Indian food, etc. Etc.)
I know we don't eat like this everyday. However the video just wanted to show a variety of how it is in Indian restaurants. In a sense you could consider the cucumber salad, pickle, curd as side dishes. Similarly in this video you have Chilli Chicken.
On top of that I'd really like to mention that it's so common for most Indian food videos filmed anywhere to have butterchicken, Butternaan, garlic or butter Naan and Biryani in them. I haven't lived in many countries but the most common form of Indian food found elsewhere is North Indian food. Similarly in South Korea we mainly have North Indian restaurants. There is Amma in Itaewon but it's very far from our filming location therefore it doesn't deliver. The filming crew has alot to do in a day whether it's filming various topics or editing and uploading them. They dont go home until late.
For those who are saying why are there no so and so menus recommended, you need to understand that we are trying to showcase variety along with the fact that only a few specific dishes are available in this restaurants.
I am a full time student with two part time jobs on the side. I myself don't have the time to cook for the whole crew in advance. We are doing our best with what we have. I am sorry that we can't see much variety whether it's northern, Eastern, North Eastern, Southern, western food. However we are really trying our best. Everyone wants variety but as soon as you see a new menu you are quick to criticize without being understanding.
Also to those who are saying why Chilli Chicken? Why Prawn Saag? Why this Naan? It's because its very common to use other dishes. It didn't make it into the video but everyone was surprised with the fact that there are Indian curries that are green and use Spinach or for the fact that in India you have our own take on Indian Chinese food which is quite popular. It's better to show different food in every video so please dont hate on what's being showcased. Everyone is trying their best and not represent the cliches. Plus I did mention that it's common for us to eat roti and paraatha, not naan but it's 1.5 hours of video that needs to be edited in 10 to 15 mins. So many things don't make it to the video.
    2) Eating by Hands;
Yes we eat by Hands and there are dishes where its normalized to use spoons nowadays but if you clearly see, there wasn't enough cutlery available while filming. We only had 3 plates even though we were 5 people and no spoons. Only serving spoons for the food. We did our best with what was given to us and without inconveniencing the crew.
You guys are always so fast to criticize. In another video when I said that sometimes we use cutlery people were furious and now it's the opposite. It's really hard to please my country's population.
    3) Beef and Pork
Like I mentioned earlier it's a 1hour to 1 and a half hour of video which is filmed. I do my best to mention everything but what segment makes it into the video and what doesn't is not up to me.
The answer is a general view on whether people eat beef or pork not the whole population. The long answers I usually give are cut short. Yes I am fully aware that people in India eat beef and pork. 80 million people of our population eat beef and pork but if you compare that with our population of 1.408 billion, that's like 6 to 7% of the population. I mentioned that states like Goa, Kerala and Karnataka as well as states in Northeast India, bordering China and Myanmar, West Bengal eat beef and pork where the beef is not cow meet but Buffalo meet. However the majority don't. Either they dont eat for religious regions or because they are cautious about the cleanliness and origins of the meat even though Indian pork is usually black pork or Grey pork or the pink pork imported from other countries. This message itself is very long so imagine how much I must have spoken while filming. The video was cut to give a general idea.
    5) Lassi Recipe:
Curd is maid from milk. I don't know how to say curd in Korean so I compared it with yogurt.
    6) Serving food to elders and eating before them :
For the video it served the food to everyone before serving it to myself cause that shows hospitality in our culture. Also if you see I genuinely respect all four equally which is why I dont have Lassi for myself because there's only four packets.
It's just me serving food was pretty long and didn't need to be in the video. So please dont hate when you don't know.
There are families in India where the youngest eat first, where the eldest eat first and where you dont follow a certain practice unless it's a social situation that requires you to do so. Similarly I come from a family where the youngest eats first or the children eat first. So the order didn't matter. That doesn't mean I respect anyone lesser. Respect goes both ways.
    7)Praying before eating
India is a diverse country. Some may practice praying before eating and some may not. I come from a Christian family, we thank God for our meals and other relevant things that we are grateful for when we wake up and when we go to bed. My dad is hindu, he doesn't pray before eating nor did my grandparents from his side. Just because we don't pray before eating doesn't mean other Christians don't pray. That's how it is in my family. Similarly traditions vary in each household. Please respect the diversity of traditions. Just because we didn't pray before food doesn't mean I forgot my culture or heritage.
    8) Yongmin wasn't rude or impolite. He was very helpful. Why are yall gating when I didnt take offense ? The simplest of comments can be hurtful to the ones reading them especially on a bad day. Please be mindful.
Lastly please try to be understanding and kind before criticizing the filming crew, the editors and the cast. Everyone is really doing there best.

Dear Yukta, Great Job and we really appreciate you to bring out the positiveness in all videos, You represent India very well and thanks to the crew who do this to expose all cultures in right way.. Kudos to them as well. As you know, wrt India, there is certain preconceived notion about the country among people in the world ( not only Westeners even in east Asia as well ) not having very logical thought that every country have its pitfalls and greatness and without verified facts which really put us in bad state. Atleast the current media innovation and travellers now trying to show the positive side of India.
It is not that people really want to criticise you or the crew but we are really tired of all these preconceived notions which put us in bad taste just because we don’t try to bring out the negativeness of other countries rather just doing our job. When people like you and the CREW take a big step in doing the right promotion we are really overwhelmed and happy. I am sure you would have got equal praises along with bashing as well. And about the video what the entire world sees is the 20 min of video right, what is brought out in that will again set the things right. There would have been lots of discussion but that 20 mins is shown outside, If it is shown as ‘ there is no beef consumption’ it will again set the same notion whereas it is not the truth. Your whole idea of doing something for the country will again go vain.
So while growing up there would be both positive and negative comments, it is how we cross all over them , correct and improvise ourselves and emerge as an Icon. Wishing you all the best to you and the TEAM…

I would urge my fellow Indians to not be harsh on the video and people featuring in it as it is impossible for even an Indian to showcase Indian food because of the vastness of the recipes consumed in our homeland. Point of the video is to raise awareness in Koreans about the Indian food options available in Korea and to use it as a soft cultural exchange. Thank you Yukta for showing Indian culture with grace and elegance. You did a great job.

In all fairness, elders go first in India too. I guess she didn't know that, no offense to her of course but this rule mostly applies only in huge family gatherings, although it's a rule in general. While serving, you serve the eldest in the family first too, this rule applies everywhere for Indians. I remember one time, every member of my father's family had come together for an important event and had dinner together, my grandfather being the eldest had to have a mouthfull first but the poor man could bearly lift the food with his hand and was struggling, while me and my dad were starving, not to mention, my grandad didn't want anyone feeding him either, despite the entire family having to wait for him to slowly take the first bite, we all did. Korean etiquette is very similar to Indian etiquette in most regards, it's just that most Indians aren't sticklers for it.

    2. We do offer a 'thank you' before we start our meals by offering water with hands around the thali (plate) and again after the meal is over by folding hands
    🇮🇳🙏
Edit: the comment was intended to be educative with a positive intention to make viewers specially non Indians aware that there is a culture and tradition of 1000s years of offering thanks before or after meals (like saying grace, bismillah and many diverse ways) and serving elders first. If in last 2 decades we (again not applicable to everyone) have stopped following certain traditions because of western influences doesn't mean that its not part of the larger culture .
Like saying Indians dont eat beef and pork is 100% inaccurate... the same applies to the argument that not all of us follow a certain tradition.

      2) Eating by Hands;

North has more wheat, vegetables , mustard oil , oily cooking and heavier to digest dishes
Western parts have seafood, rice and rice flour items, eggs, and tropical fruits n veggies, semolina, plus coconuts, and various cooling beverages like solkadhi, lemonades, palm wine, cashew wine feni etc and light weight food dishes, Mumbai and konkan coast have iconic bombay duck and spider crab and mud crab
South has again rice items but more focussed on fermented rice flour, plus fish, tapioca, semolina, sago, vegie and fruits
      Idk abt east coast
West bengal have fresh water fishes, and very sweet food
Northeast india have pork and bamboo shoots and rice wine more staple , plus tgey have different meats like duck, which aren't found commonly in some other parts, well food cooking style is mostly fermentation n smoked meat
Kashmir have iconic kashmiri kahwa milk tea, and kashmiri pulav, rice with spiced dry fruits in it
Gujarat has medium sweeter cuisine and groundnut oil used
Himachal have their iconic rajma chawal, rajma a pulses curry and chaval is rice
Each place have their different cuisines
I know many parts of places n cuisine may have got left out, cos India is big
But , there is diversity in foods across the country

      2) Eating by Hands;

Beef and pork is common in few states and it's okay to eat with hands.

    • @yuktatyagiofficial

      2) Eating by Hands;
