Sweden and Finland built Karelia together and now most of it is lost to Russia. But we will not forget it.
I must say those words are wise. Its sad to see that the Karelian language and culture is almost completely gone.
Yeah but like siberia they are now russians who would prefer to stay in russia
Karelia's fate reminds Petseri and Jaanilinn that were part of Estonia before the Soviet annexation of 1940. They remained as part of Russia with all native Estonians and Ingrian Finns (Estonia's citizens) expelled and then resettled by Russians.
I hope Finland can take back Karelia one day.
@@yeshiyangzom8532 As a Finn, I honestly wouldn't want Karelia back. The problem is that there's mostly Russians while ethnic Finns and Karelians were driven out of Karelia. It would take hundreds of billions dollars for Finland to raise Karelia's infrastructure, economy and living standards up to the Finnish/European level after Karelia was ruined by the USSR and Russian Federation.
It would be better for Karelia to become independent and serve as buffer zone between Finland and Russia.
I cant believe Karjalan Kunnailla exists in Swedish, thank you for posting this
No problem👍
We call it "karelen" or "finska karelen".
@@AndreasNilsson-ux1zk In Swedish yes but in Finnish its called "Karjala*
Sweden, norway and finland shoukd be united as one country
no
yes
Karelia forever lost to the russian invaders. Beautiful song.
the russian invaders gave finland its independance in 1809
No. Finland gained its independence in 1917. Russia is evil, it cannot create, only destroy. Look at how Russia has ruined old East Prussia, Karelia or Ukraine. Disgusting.

Nice! Was your grandfather Finland Swede or Finnish?
He was born in Finland but had a swedish parent. Later moving to Sweden until he passed. So yeah half Finnish and half Swedish🇫🇮🇸🇪
Så fint ❤️🇸🇪
Swedish version of a Finnish version of a Karelian song about Karelia
I mean your not wrong💀
Originally the song was in finnish

very nice thank you
Thank you!👍
Tusen tack. Kiitos ja kuka on laulaja? Vem är sångaren?
Georg Malmsten or his brother Eugen Malmsten. If I had to bet, it would be Georg.
My father, however, insisted that this was Eugen Malmsten.

Ik this was suppost to be Katyusha but next one will be
@@EnIndividno, I mean it's actually sad, rest in peace your grandfather. 😔
@@SiberianBasementyea its a sad thing thx for your support though I appreciate it alot

This is a very finnish song, feels odd that it is in swedish.
Yeah i agree
Well Finland was Swedish for around 800 years, so it isn't that strange. Finland's national anthem was originally a Swedish song too
It is Swedish of course. Finns are sadly often racists.
@@marcusgustafsson9558 Is that so?
@@gabrielandreassen5761this is swedish version of finnish song called karjalan kunnailla
