    About the pickups not sitting high enough, surgical tubing works better around the screws than springs. They don’t squish as much and you can set the height more even.

      I've done this and used a piece of foam for pickup height elevation

    "I was almost in the Aquabats for a day... that's a story for another day." That was a tease, Ray!!! Please elaborate on that one soon!!!

    Nice tour, I like the simple setup, that's why I am thinking about buying some amp sims on my pc as a person newer to guitar.

    Nice studio Ray and it does not have to be big it just has to work for you. When you talk about plug in's having issues and crashing this is a topic I have I have answered many questions on as I still record on a Fostex 16 track multi track recorder and get asked why I still choose to record that way instead of using a DAW.
    And one of the big reasons is because of what you said about plug ins crashing and other issues you can have with a DAW like your whole computer going down right in the middle or recording and loosing everything you were working on.
    As well as always having to do updates on soft ware. I am a keep i simple stupid kind of guy and if it is not broke don't fix it. I am old school and love my multi track recorder it is tired and true and has served me well.
    Anyway thanks for the tour it is always cool to see how others are setting up there studios and what they are using.

    Man, you and Matt Heafy inspired me to get silverburst LP Custom. Why Matt Heafy? He was using one during the Shogun era, if I remember correctly. The Adam Jones ones are cool, but I think his Epiphones are too expensive

    Ive heard, I believe from Grady Dime's guitar tech, that repaired headstocks are stronger than the original without the break....not sure how that sounds to me but he said it

    You should swap out the jazz master pickups for noiseless p90s

    Do you have a go-to noise gate pedal for that Jazzmaster baritone?

    • @xanderraymondcharles
      @xanderraymondcharles  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey dude! Honestly the fortin Zuul has done the job exclusively for like 3 years I haven’t needed another pedal since I put it on my board in 2020

    Shocked on the Balaguer split. You had been big on them for so long even before the endorsement, then it just kinda seemed to fizzle.
    Question is who’s next. Kiesel since you already had/have a good relationship with Jeff and the brand? 🤔

  • @BrUh-sj1pc

      Studio Tours are insanely common on guitar TH-cam. Silly to hate. Wait for a Fender release and 98 of 100 top guitar channels release a video on it the same day.
