@@thomaslangton8593 I can respect great players no matter where they are from. A great player is one who consistently does it over many years.ye only won that because Pat ONeill played a stormer (great player). DJ played for about 10 mins all told and when Pat Hartnett was put on him he went quiet again. I was at it as well. Henry is the king and DJ was never even fit to hold his coat tails... I can respect great players but not over rated ones... the Clare team of 1995 are the most over rated while the KK team of late noughties had some fabulous players

Yeah basically any flag with similar colours Japan flag and Palestinian flag were widely used.
I am surprised that anybody would even consider normalizing the Klu Klux Clan, or the Confederate flag in 1999, on the greatest day of our greatest game.
It was flown by Cork fans for its similarity to the Cork colours for years. I don't think there was any racial connotation attached.
In the same way I don't think anyone was showing allegiance to Denmark or Japan
@@tadhgocallaghan2201 Of course it wasn't being done to show allegiance to the Confederate States of America, but it was a still inappropriate and I'm glad it seems to have stopped.

@damo live The rotten backs turd of a referee ended the game just before Kilkenny were going for the equalizer. The day was miserable and I've nothing against Cork but I think a replay would have been a fair result. I prefer the game play from those years more so than today. The last two All Ireland finals involving Waterford and Cork are far worse than the 1999 final because Limerick used their heads carefully taking scores, where as their opponents were like headless chickens and not able to mark up.
