- Air Cooled vs Liquid Cooled Engines - One of the considerations to make when buying a motorcycle is the difference between air cooled vs liquid cooled motorcycle engines.
Depending on where and how you plan on riding, a motorcycle’s air or liquid cooling may play a large part in your decision to buy, and how much you’ll appreciate your machine.
Typically speaking, high-performance motorcycles tend to be liquid-cooled. MotoGP motorcycles, which cost millions of dollars, are all liquid cooled, but then again, when’s the last time you took your bike to a race track? Maybe an air cooled motorcycle will work just fine.

Einstein said: things must be built as simple as possible but not any simpler. The only reason manufacturers have switched to liquid cooled engines in the las few year is to comply with recent government emissions regulations.
Not so else why cruiser n small cc bikes still have air cooled engines ?
@@vickyAlways Because bikes with just one or two cylinders can still have enough airflow to keep the cylinders cold enough to comply with emissions regulations, and very few cruisers bikes are still air cooled such as the Indian chief dark horse which actually shuts down the rear cylinder when the bike is not moving to keep the engine cooler.
He said the same things 2 or 3 times.
Why did ALL the Baja 1000 dominant bikes become liquid cooled in the early 2000s then?
They are not just air cooled motors they are air oil cooled, for the novice or new rider, it's means oil runs through the motor as opposed to water, and they do quite often have an oil cooler ( radiator) for the oil , for example I have a cb1100 Honda 2010 model that runs 4 point 9 liters of oil the same amount of oil in a Holden 6 cylinder. And you can not beet some warm air on your legs and feet on a cold day riding. Oil cooled won't corrode out like many water cooled motors. Cheers Andy from Australia
I've never seen a water-cooled motorcycle engine that was visually appealing ... hence the market for retro-style bikes.
This is another reason why I bought a 1994 Electra Glide Classic.
Honestly yeah. That’s why my bike has a bunch of fairings to cover it LOL.
i think a honda eu65is generator, remove parts to make motorcycle, may be OHC (sacrifices to no-sacrifice to advantage) for some people
Awesome video. New sub
Exelent video thanks!!
What about the engines with the oil cooler?
It's still air cooler based. Just a little bit advance which it's circulated the oil through outside so it cooled down with air too.
Air cooled for me it always cold when outside surroundings.
I wont have a water cooled motorcycle. I am probably biased I hate sport bikes. Cruiser types are easier to ride I sit upright like in a chair.
for long lasting run ... air cooled all the way
Why is that if I may ask, I can argue water cooled can last longer as the engine doesn't overheat. Just trying to learn.
Jesus, this is a ChatGPT generated video???? lol
Yep 😂😂
Content creators nowadays are finding pretty creative ways ... The vid was good btw
